I booked a room for one night on a business trip due to the bad experience I had at another hotel in the area. The La Quinta in Evansville is clean, and has good services for people that stay there. I'd recommend it for another stay there.

Good, solid, place to stay...Overall location is good and convenient to the highway, but getting in and out is not
that convenient, you have to circle around a bit. Very attentive staff. Property shows some signs of wear, but is well kept. Small fitness room was good.

Great location, good amenities. Love the free USA Today. Great pillows and duvet - very comfortable bed. The only things that needed improving were all the hair on the bathroom floor (not mine) and the stains on the carpet. But.....the hot and fresh Toll House cookies made every afternoon almost made up for those problem areas.

The address that they provided was incorrect so we had a hard time finding them. Once we found where they were the entrance wasn't clearly marked. They had listed a pool at their location (which there was) but we discovered that it had been shut down for repairs in excess of 2 years. The complimentary breakfast even left my kids disappointed. The iron for the room was missing, and the hairdryer in the bathroom didn't work. There was mold on the ceiling tiles in the hallway. Finally, after taking a shower I discovered that the glass light cover in the bathroom had been helt up by DUCT TAPE only by the fact that it FELL, narrowly missing my head and shattering across the bathroom floor. Thankfully no one was hurt, ESPECIALLY my kids!! I won't be staying at this location again.

Stayed there while visiting family. The location was convenient in relation to where I was visiting but did not have convenient access. The staff seemed to be friendly however, it was difficult for me to understand them. The elevator was filthy with what seemed to be crushed food on the floor. The room was fairly clean. TV was outdated and I had to call the front desk to get the remote to work.

Breakfast was good, but where it was served was not large enough for the number of people trying to take advantage of it. Noisy bunch at night. Staff was friendly. Couldn't get all of the TV channels with switch to digital. I would recommend this hotel if all you need is a place to stay for the night. The price was right and they take pets for an extra fee.

Ok for the price! but non-smoking??

Room was pretty ok for the price.. my only complaint was that the room was supposed to be non-smoking, but smelled like it had been smoked in. Conveyed that to the front desk staff, and they confirmed it was a non-smoking room but said they couldn't gtee anyone hadn't smoked in there, and mentioned they didn't have a replacement room available. Noticed too, that there was no sign designating it as a non-smoking room (though other rooms did have the sign), and it had an ashtray in it. Oh well - lived with it (and heard about it from my spouse) as we didn't have to spend too much time there, and alternatives were thin. I'd say other than that, the place was up to expectation otherwise for the $. One other very positive was the room-size. There was plenty of space.

Although no one ever mentioned it to us ahead of time, the entire first floor was under construction and being repainted. The place was a wreck and the overwhelming paint fumes made my eyes water. When I asked if we could have a room on the second floor, I was told I was getting the last room in the entire hotel, so....no.
The room was HUGE and had a full kitchen, fridge, stove, oven, everything. That was the best part. It wen down hill from there.
My list of complaints:
1. The bathroom tile and entire floor where it met the tub was cracked, broken and gross.
2. The air conditioner went through power surges ALL NIGHT and was so loud it woke me up EVERY SINGLE TIME!
3. The entire room reeked of paint smell from the hallway.
4. The lights were tremendously dim, and two of the lamps didn't work, or had burned out bulbs.
5. The sleeper sofa mattress was like a taco and there was no choice but to sleep dead in the middle, in the valley.
6. I got the "spare" sheet set and blanket from the closet for the sleeper sofa, and the blanket had multiple cigarette burns on it (in my non smoking room).
Overall, not a chance I'd stay there again. I want my money back.

The night staff was the most friendliest. His name was [...] and he was very helpful for city attractions. Day staff was not friendly at all. Never even spoke to us as guest only to say we need your credit card. The hotel itself was nice. Loved the breakfast and the room. Especially the bed. The other thing was that the book for the hotel said there was a jacuzzi but there was not one on site. Nice bathroom.

This was my second stay at Lee's Inn, I'm just sorry I didn't try it sooner. The staff is very friendly and the lobby and breakfast area are wonderfully welcoming. The furnishings in the rooms I've been in are a little outdated, but that won't stop me from going back again and again.

I was searching for a hotel close to Holiday World, I think the search engine could have found a town much closer than Evansville - it was a long drive. The room itself - even though we requested a smoking room - smelt awful. We actually went to the store and bought Lysol to spray in the room but it did not help. Also when we first arrived the toilet was clogged. We called the front desk and they sent someone up who spent a couple of minutes with a plunger and left. We were all tired and went straight to bed. The next morning the toilet was the same - it would not flush properly. We called the front desk again and were told that maintenance would not be in for 20 minutes and that she could not leave the front desk to bring us a plunger. We went down to to pick it up but it did not help much. We had to plunge the toilet every time it was flushed. As far a location - we did not feel that we were in a very good part of town either. Overall - we had a place to sleep that was relatively cheap.

I arrived tired and somewhat under the weather, either of which could have brought on a poor experience, but this was not the case. All of the staff who I came into contact with were friendly and courteous. The in-house restaurant was convenient and good, with a discount coupon an added advantage. The free hot breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of good food. I did not get a chance to take advantage of the indoor pool, but it appeared to be a good size and well maintained. My only problems involved the rather complex layout of the facility. It took a while to figure it out, and parts of it were not well marked. Strategically placed wall maps or handouts would be nice.

Pleasantly surprised

Unfamiliar with Evansville I was concerned about location and hotel conditions. I was pleasantly surprised to find not only was the room 'quality' on par with the Quality Inn standard I am used to. Even the breakfast bar was nicely presented and everything was fresh and clean. Being '50 paces' from an Applebee's and a 2 minute drive to a major mall and MAJOR Harley dealer didn't hurt either. Would definitely stay again and recommend...as long as nothing changes!!!

I have stayed at numerous quality inns from Kansas area to Louisville area this is no quality in half the outlets either didn't work or were burnt black couldn't understand anything any one said except check out sir coffee maker didn't work and what hotel has windows that still open on the upper floors anymore anyway I thought about jumping that part was a joke and the best part I got athletes foot from the shower or pool never had it before & I don't like it I wouldn't pay $25 to stay there again

The price was right in the crunch. The toilet needed to be flushed twice and the t.v. was 20 years old although it had a decent picture. The free continental breakfast was poor.

Great Getaway!!!!

Le Merigot was a great weekend getwaway. My husband and I did a whole lot of nothing and just relaxed in this amazing room by the water. The casino is a little dated but the food in near by casino restaurants were pretty good. We took in a live band at the Hoosier Loung after losing our money at the casino one evening but its a nice hotel for the price. We will definitely come back.

We arrived early before check-in time, but the front desk accommodated us immediately. Valet and baggage service was immediately available if we wanted it, but we passed. The room was large, clean and very nice. This is clearly the best hotel in Evansville. The continental breakfast was good, but nothing special. There is a nice exercise room, but no pool or spa.

room not comfortable pillows very flat tv old magnovox. door has cracks all around frame.
phones didn't work. but it was a cheap price and close to where we were going. probably won't stay at a motel 6 again.

Older property and in need of some repair. I arrived early. Motel was sold out the night before and didn't have a room ready for me yet. One of the cleaning crew went to my room and cleaned everything up so I could check in right away. This is a place to sleep and that is all. No ammenities and in a location far away from anything. This is good for an inexpensive bed, as you are passing through.

We stayed because of a youth football tournament in Owensboro KY. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were nice and clean and ready when we arrived a little early. The breakfast was nice, but I would have liked to have bacon. there was complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate at all times. It's close to lots of eating and shopping facilities. In all it was a very nice choice.

We tried to check in early, and to get a room with double beds(All they had was a king size bed with a sofa pull out) and had to leave our bags in the office because there were no rooms ready. and we told them we would most likely be back after Midnight. when we got back they had assigned us to the Last room on the first floor right next to the conference and breakfast area. And this turned out to be very noisy with carts being paraded up and down from 5:30 AM. The noise from above was very bad early in the morning and woke me up early.
When I wanted to Use the computer in the Lobby, the maintanence man said It cost 5 dollars and when I argued with him he said it was a joke.
The room was very cramped and when the sofa was pulled out there was no space to walk and adjust the air conditioner, So I froze all night long.
There is no night life nearby and the desk was no help on directions, the Hotel is difficult to find and we had to ask directions a couple times to find it.
I will not be returning to a Comfort Inn for fear this is the Royal carpet treatment I can expect at all their locations

This hotel is not for the business traveler. I would recommend the hotel next door. The rooms were dusty and the TVs and bedding were old. Cigarette smoke permeated the entire structure. Room service was a horrible experience.....money wasted. I ordered french toast which was brought to my room cold and could have been used as a brick. The hotel staff were friendly is the only positive comment I can make.

Not a bad choice to stay in

Hotel was located in a nice area, not right off the interstate. The breakfast was always hot and was plenty available. The only thing we didn't care for at the hotel was the lack of wanting to clean. There were sun flower seeds spit all over the floor and stair wells down near or rooms. We stayed for 3 nights and they were there the entire length of our stay. Also, when we came back to the hotel after sight seeing the second day we came back into a room that the cleaning service never showed up so we had to go down to the service desk and ask for towels for showers that night and I had to request then that I wanted service for the next day as well.

Upon checking - in we were assigned to a King bed room. I called to verify we had 2 queens when booking, but someone didn't change the reservation in the system. Finally it all worked out after some time. I appreciate the front desk making it work because the hotel was sold out.

We booked this hotel for a stay during a family wedding. [...] Once we got into a room (they were able to accomodate our early check-in on the third attempt), we had a great stay. The room was nice, the breakfast was terrific for a freebie and the location was very convenient.

Drove down into Evansville every day. An easy drive.
The place was clean but OLD. The carpets are beginning to be threadbare in areas of high traffic. I saw no elevator which my bad knee would have liked. The staff people were generally nice and helpful. But, some of the people were foreigners of some kind and understanding them was difficult occasionally. The TV was old and blurry.

I will never stay at a Super 8 again. The rooms had dingy sheets and towels. The towels were rough and did not look clean. The bed was terribly uncomfortable. The door stop in the bathroom was green with mold, and someone stuck a nicotine patch in the shower and the staff completely missed it. The staff were friendly but it was not enough. this hotel needs a major overhaul!!!

Staff very friendly and thoughtful. There for a funeral and they made it easier for the family in our time of need. Good breakfast with healthy choices ie; oatmeal fruit ect. Thanks for putting up with all the kids.

The hotel was very nice. the only problem i found was there was a pair of dirty socks under the end of the bed and they did not belong to us. Otherwise stay was good. The kids enjoyed the pool and the breakfast. And the 12:00 check out time gave us plenty of time to get up and get moving in the morning.
