Mattress was hard with coils pushing upward into body. Reclining chair was inoperative and totally unsupportive. Desk chair seat was near failure.
Room and bath were clean and acceptable. Breakfast was marginal compared to other Super 8's.
Cost of room was really low. Guess you get......

Very close to Lincoln attractions (why we were there) We were only there about 10 hours total but the beds were super hard and stiff. The "Super Start Breakfast" left much to be desired; luckily Golden Corral breakfast was right across the street. I would only recommend this hotel if you are just needing a place to sleep and a hot shower.

The State House Inn is a great choice for a visitor to Springfield, IL, especially one to visit any of the downtown's historical venues or to see the state capitol. The SH Inn's rooms and amenities are very good, and the staff is outstanding. Since the hotel lobby and bar are relatively small, a person enterting the hotel might feel as though the wedding reception guests haveovertaken the hotel, but the Inn is highly recommended. I have stayed there several times and plan to be there again.

Would stay again. Good price for someone on a budget. I only ate at the attached restaurant once, but the food was good and the staff was very friendly. The only negative: I do not like anyone entering my room and had placed the "do not disturb" sign on the door, but on the last day of my stay someone had removed the sign and entered anyway.

It was a good location to visit Abraham Lincoln's tomb and growing-up neighborhood. There was good shopping nearby. The motel was clean and the clerk's friendly.

Needed a dog-friendly hotel that was clean, safe, and quiet for a night's sleep. The price wasn't too bad and they offer breakfast in the morning, so I booked it. The bathroom was not very clean. I took a shower and found somebody else's hair still on the shower walls, and when I got out of the shower I discovered hair on the back of the bathroom door. In the middle of the night I walked into the bathroom and found a huge spider on the floor. The next morning my mom used the bathroom before we left and said there was a cricket in there. The rest of the room seemed clean enough, just the bathroom was pretty gross.

I was there with a colleague for a convention. We were looking for something comfy to back to after a grueling day of meetings. This definitely fit the bill! The room was VERY comfy with two sinks, a refrigerator, a microwave and a flat screen tv; perfect for two people. A nice breakfast with both hot and cold foods and friendly helpful staff added to our stay. The walking track was great for a leisurely outdoor stroll. The only thing I might have changed was the back door, which seemed to be unlocked most of the time; not a great security feature. Overall great stay; will make this our yearly choice for sure!

We were in and out in less than 24 hours for a quick trip. For what we needed, which wasn't much, this place was fine. Beds were fine, had a good size mini fridge, and is easy to find from the highway. Small breakfast in lobby included. Shower could've been a little cleaner. Decent for the price if you're looking for low-budget.

Went to Springfield for a movie & shopping getaway weekend. We have stayed at this hotel before and liked it then. Since the remodel, it is even nicer. Comfortable beds, clean. The only drawback is that there are no stairs into the pool--if you aren't comfortable climbing a ladder to get out of the pool, don't count on swimming.

Attended a family wedding in downtown Springfield. The hotel was easily reached and just across the road from Lincoln's Tomb - a must see. The room was clean and had queen beds. Breakfast was basic, staff was friendly.

My husband and I stayed one night. I had a business meeting and my husband came along for the ride. The manager went out of his way to offer a late checkout and gave my husband directions to a nearby park where he could enjoy the weather. The breakfast was great and the woman working the breakfast was friendly as well. Room was comfortable and clean.

Had to book an extra room at last minute, called hotel and they gave me a triple A discount because I was member. I saved more money calling and using triple A than I did with [...].Hotel was absolutely beautiful. Decorated wonderfully and meticulously clean. Our beds were like at home and kids loved the pool.Only downside was that staff at front desk never informed us that they could pick us up and drop us off at train station (we took train to see museum). It would have saved on cab fare to and from hotel.

THe Springfield Suites staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful during our stay. There was an incident with our pet, but I think it was resolved fairly well. THe breakfast was pretty good and had a good variety of food. However, I would have preferred the pool be outdoors so that you could sit next to it and get sun. There was an area nearby but you had to go outside the building where the pool was. Overall, I would say this was a positive experience for us!

Was a very short stay so didn't get to experience the hotel at all really. Its just like a typical Residence Inn - has everything you need. Small living room area and small kitchen. I found the furniture a bit dated - needs some contemporary flare. But all in all, it did the job for the night.

I have stayed at the Comfort Suites in Springfield many times and have always enjoyed my stay. The room is always clean, the staff is always friendly, the breakfast is good, just a great place to stay.

We arrived late on Friday night for a college visit. The room was ready, clean and comfortable. We tried to use the Wi-Fi and were unsuccessful. Our schedule was tight so we did not notify the staff. Location right off I-72 was great.

Not what we expected from Marriot even if it is the lower line. The motel was adequate and had a good location. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was a half step above continental. We were on a family trip and spent time at the Lincoln Library and museum. A MUST see. Springfield has a lot of history and is a lovely city.

Staff was superb! I was travelling with children so having a fully functional kitchen in the room was perfect! They loved the complimentary microwave popcorn, too. I will certainly look to stay here again.

The hotel was very comfortable and well located. It is directly off Interstate 55 and in an area where you can walk to several restaurants. The rooms were nice and had very comfortable beds. We had a little trouble getting the air/heat to work right (it was a touch panel screen which was new to us).
Overall, a great value in a good location!

The Signature Inn in Springfield, IL was not a terrible place to stay. Cleaninliness, was not an issue in terms of rooms being nasty but the place itself looked a little shady and the rooms reeked of smoke. There were some sheet rock patches in the hall that were incomplete and look trashy. Overall a cheap bed if you are just staying one night in Springfield on the way to Chicago.
