We were in Schaumburg for an event at the Improv (at Woodfield Mall). While we'd honestly rather stay at a hotel in Chicago, that wouldn't have been convenient since we were seeing shows in Schaumburg two consecutive nights. We wanted to stay somewhere comfortable, clean and close to the mall--the Hyatt Place turned out to be just what we were looking for. It was an excellent value for our particular needs for this trip.

A group of ladies stayed 2 nights at this hotel. We found the accessible rooms very roomy (that's all that was left when we reserved). The rate was great and the staff very pleasant and helpful. The only improvemenst would be the design/slope of the shower floor so that it wouldn't get so wet when showering. It was a little noisy Sat. night when loud neighboring guests returned.

The front desk staff were efficient and friendly. The hotel was convenient to the mall area and the highway, while being far enough away that traffic noise wasn't a problem. Room was clean and classy. Only negatives were overpriced breakfast (went to Dunkin instead) and very slow creaky clunky elevators. (Very glad I asked for a room far away from them.) I'd happily stay there again -- in a room far away from those elevators!

Shopping and the train to Chicago!

Stayed here numerous times for the location close to freeways, shopping ,Ikea, restaurants and the train to Chicago. A safe well lighted area. Rooms are basic yet have a small work table with two chairs, and have always been clean. Staff has always been helpful and friendly. Good value! I did miss the waffle maker this time!

We were there to visit Legoland, IKEA, and the Woodfield mall, and this hotel was right next to all three. It was clean and comfortable. A great place to spend a couple of days.

We were there for our annual Christmas shopping trip and we were going to Woodfield Mall. The location was perfect and we absolutely loved the place. It was so nice to have the bedrooms separated and a bathroom in each bedroom. We loved the three TVs. It was perfect for us.

Well situated to amenities in Schaumburg. Comfortable, clean room and very helpful staff. Onsite restaurant has very good food for reasonable prices. Room very quiet - unless you open the window and let in the traffic from outdoors. Would recommend.

This nice hotel is a situated in a business area and is a good base to explore Chicago. Cookies on check-in are rather nice. Our room did smell a little of smoke on the fifth floor but the room was really nice. Take a short walk out of the front of the hotel turn left and 200 yards up the road to the John Barleycorn. Fantastic food and great beers for around $3-$3.50 a pint.

We enjoyed our time at the pool. The breakfast had a great selection. The coffee was disappointing in the room - I would have thought they would have a better band maxwell house. The pillow was bad, and I had a hard time sleeping.

Great location, great $, great service, and great ameneties. Everything was clean. The breakfast was wonderful and enjoyed the 3 free cocktails and snacks from 5:30-7 p.m. Did not use the hot tub or pool, but looked nice.

I have stayed in my other competitive hotels. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Country Inn & Suites in Schaumburg, IL. The hotel staff were very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. My room was very clean and in good condition, especially the bathroom. The morning breakfast offered variety, it was plentiful and the food was very good. The location was central to all of my needs and was close to access to the tollway. I certainly will be looking forward to my next stay at this hotel.

My experience at this hotel was wonderful. The staff there was very friendly and they serve complimentary cheese and crackers and wine after 5pm and milk and cookies at 9pm (my daughter loved that). The rooms were very clean and cozy and you can tell that they took the time to decorate the hotel to be a very cozy theme. We hated leaving. I've been to this hotel once before and it seems that with each visit, I know we will be getting great service and again, thanks to the staff and the man behind the wine counter for making our visit even that much more wonderful :)

Our family had a very enjoyable long weekend in the Schaumberg/Chicago area. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. Hotel staff were friendly and accomodating. The daily included breakfast was good, with a lot of variety for kids and adults. Would stay here again and recommend to others!

We had reserved 3 rooms. WHile checking in, the staff was extremely helpful and very accommodating. We were told of a shuttle to the Woodfield Mall, a gift wrapping station to wrap our newly purchased Christmas gifts, and breakfast was really nice. Can't say enough great things about this hotel. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!!

The hotel it was very nice hotel and the location of hotel very nice, but the this what I didn't like it :
1- Bathe room so small.
2-Room not have refrigerator.
3-No one can help you to carrier bags
4-No internet for free in public places

My wife and I were visiting our son, who lives in the Chicago area, for Thanksgiving. The hotel was therefore very convenient and provided all the amenities that one would expect of a hotel of this type. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the room itself was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel highly, particularly at the rate that we paid.

We stayed here for 6 nights very comfortably. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were down alternative- nice. The A/C and all bathroom things worked fine. The breakfast was decent: hot oatmeal to serve, fake eggs, cereal, bacon, bagels, fresh coffee, the typical breakfast.
The best thing about this hotel is that it is 5 minutes from everything. Woodfield Mall is a couple blocks away and the Medinah train station is literally 4 miles north. Very convenient to go down town.

Second time to experience this particular Marriott, and like the first time everyone and everything was just the same. Staff very friendly and front desk exceptionally helpful where they could. Food good, but drinks a little pricey.

The hotel was great! reasonably priced, clean, comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was that internet access was an additional $10 / day.
We were attending an event at the Schaumburg convention center and the hotel was very convenient. We did however rent a car to get around and I think it was a good idea.

The service was great. The room fantastic. Bed was very comfortable. The only issue I had was the pool. The pool was so cold kids didn't even want to swim in it. The jets on the whirlpool was so strong that if your body would get bruised if you were to close to it. That is the only complaint. Otherwise everything else was fantastic

Excellent Place to stay

We spent a long weekend and used the room to entertain quests in addition to sleeping quarters.
The room layout worked well for this and allowed us to serve drinks and snacks without the usual difficulties of a standard hotel. Breakfast in the dining room was very good and even though it was busy with a high turnover they were able to keep it clean and well stocked.
There are several places close by for entertainment and shopping that would appeal to most people but we did not visit them as our visit was for social reasons.
Everyone on the hotel staff that we interacted with was extremely courteous which added to the quality of our stay. I should note that that the room was very clean and nicely furnished.
This will be our first choice the next time we visit.

It was very convienent because it is located near many things to do. Within 5 minutes of IKEA, gameworks and legoland. And if you want to go to dinner, it is 5 minutes from Maggiano's.

The location is almost perfect for Woodfield Mall and I-90. However, the room was noisy because of the air conditioner and refrigerator. The bed was hard, but having a kitchen with a real refrigerator and stove is a pretty good idea. I can't complain much because of the good price and the nice staff.

The staff was very friendly at check in. Our room was spotless!! Very quiet even though there was a baby in the room next to us. We could not hear a thing in our room. Awesome breakfast in the a.m. Hot foods as well as your typical toast/donuts/bagels...
The only word of caution is make sure you set your alarm clock or your cell phone alarm, our wake up call did not come through as requested. Luckliy I set my alarm on my phone and we were not late to our appointment the following morning. I would definetly stay at this hotel again!!!

We needed a place to stay for one night and we ended up getting the last room! thank goodness for that! ESA is a great place to stay overall. The only complaint I ever have is that the TV controls are always missing. IDK why!? You get your rest, which is what I always need so it works for me!

Good quiet place to stay while in Schaumburg. No big amenities in the hotel, but room had fridge, microwave and stove. Night staff was very helpful when I needed things. Hotel carpets / walls / etc were a little "worn" but stay was nice.
