Hotel was really nice overall. Free breakfast was very good.
On the negative side. The staff was not helpful or pleasant. Everytime I went up to ask for some information or even check-in they were not at the desk and had to sit around for 10 minutes until they came from the back and when they did were not friendly.

This hotel was reasonable priced and I loved the space. As a family traveling with 4 children, it was wonderful to have a room with 2 bathrooms and 4 beds.

Rooms are quite varied. First time my room was fantastic, second time it was dismal, and this time it was average. The AC is always noisy because the covers are loose. Location is great, staff is alright, and the breakfast is passable.

Anniversary Getaway on a Budget

The Grand Hotel is an older hotel, so I can understand needing some upgrades here and there. Overall was a good experience. Room was clean, there was however, a sulfur or sewer smell when the heat was on? Not sure what that was all about, but not pleasant.
There also was a place on the ceiling where there may have been recent water damage from the roof leaking or something...ceiling was kind of bubbly and not sure if it might come through. Breakfast buffet was done and over by the time we got downstairs and this was on a Saturday morning...nothing really in the rooms or posted anywhere of times or options. Also, I have seen better pillows in a hospital, next time I would remember to bring my own.

Pleasant Stay

We attended a musical at the Civic Center and spent the night at the Four Points. They are only a couple of blocks apart. Parking at the hotel we enjoyed the walk and did not have to worry about parking for the event. Nice, clean room. very comfortable bed and bedding. Great location, easy on and off to I-74.

Large room, nice TV, very comfortable bed and soft sheet - - like sleeping on a cloud! Breakfast was hot, but not delicious (premade eggs and what looked like microwave sausage, waffles were good tho).
Pool area and hot tub were clean and uncrowded - over all very nice

Nice hotel for a quick stay while attending a high school conference with our family. While we only used the hotel for overnight lodging, the staff was pleasant and accommodating, the room was clean and nicely appointed, and the breakfast buffet was above average.

Only negative comment I have about this hotel is that they charge $8.95 per person for a hot buffet breakfast that most hotels provide free of charge,.

The beds were very comfortable, housekeeping did a great job, the pool was warm and very private, the staff was very accomidating, and the price was just right.
The only thing that could have made the trip more enjoyable was for breakfast to be included in the price of the stay. Our kids ate free (cereal), but a $9.87 charge was given to my parents for 1 adult breakfast buffet. My wife and I did not eat, but we certainly would not have liked a $20 charge for a hotel breakfast.

The staff was friendly and helpful and took great care of us and of the facility. The beds were comfortable and the climate in the room easy to control. The rooms were clean and quiet and the breakfast delicious. A very positive stay.

great location right off I-74. Conveniently located near shopping and restaurants. Staff was good and the continental breakfast was average for most hotels.
