The Holiday Inn Express had such a nice staff. In the morning during checkout the staff was very curtious and ask how my stay was. They made me feel very welcome. The room was very clean and quite bigger than most rooms. Overall, it was a very friendly and cozy place.

Our 5 day stay for our grandsons high school graduation had some good and BAD. The rooms were clean and comfortable. However, waking up in the morning was most unpleasant as we were right next to housekeeping. The housekeeping staff were noisy, inconsiderate, and rude. Loud talking in hallway, laughing, door banging. Our staff rating is low because of housekeeping and for putting us in that room since the hotel was mostly empty. I would have given this hotel a solid 4+ rating, but just couldn't give them above a 3 rating because of our morning nightmare. I put I would recommend this hotel, but with a big warning!

Great location for Chicagoland Speedway

Only a five mile drive on the expressway to the Chicagoland Speedway exit. It is also close to the Hollywood Casino (a couple miles down the road) and a Cracker Barrel is right next door. The staff was extremely friendly and the rooms were comfortable and clean. We definitely plan on staying here again for next year's race.

Excellent staff, very polite and helpful! Two places to eat within walking distance or room service. Casinos are less then 10 minutes away and the mall is less then 15 minutes away. Rooms were very clean and pool/hot tub was clean and relaxing. We are already planning our next getaway!

Traveled to Joliet for a one day seminar. Was greeted by a friendly desk clerk, promptly checked in and guided th the room. Apologies were in order for remodeling mess, but was promised room would be clean. IT WAS SPOTLESS!! Morning wake-up call was on time, breakfast was good. Same pleasant staff wished us well, and hoed we'd return. We will.

I checked in late and asked for a the quietest room they had. They gladly moved me to the non-freeway side of the hotel and I was surprised at how nice the room was (was expecting much less). It was clean, comfortable, easy to access and had a good breakfast buffet. My only complaint was that it rained hard that night and the air conditioning unit caused a lot of noise as the rain pounded on it.

there are no amenities ie. breakfast, coffee maker in the room, pool etc. The hotel was clean, quiet, and food is next store. All was ok.

It was ok. Our room was at least warm once we got in it. My brother's room was very cold(down the outside hallway). I didn't like the outside stairways, especially the ones on the end with ice on them! The outside balcony hallway also was icy & very cold!

We were given a large room with king size bed and full size couch with pull out bed. The room was very spacious, clean and the halls smelled wonderful as we walked to our room. The mini fridge came in handy as cake was brought back and eaten the next morning. The safe and microwave were not used however. The pool was always filled with children and we never had time to use it anyway. The staff was fine- nothing great, nothing bad. Over all geat place for a low price. Only 8 minutes from the hollywood casino.

I went to Joliet for a funeral and all the staff seemed to know; they were very attentive to me. Small but sufficient breakfast bar was appreciated. Across parking lot from Steak and Shake and Taco Bell.

It didn't give a good first impression that the rather scraggly-looking young guy staffing the front desk had "ultimate fighting" on the lobby TV when we walked into the hotel. The lobby/breakfast room was fairly cramped, and at 10 at night had people just hanging around. Nor did it help that as we walked to our room and past the pool, a hotel guest was in there calling out to the desk attendant that he wanted the police, when they arrived, to come directly to the pool area. The room was fine - clean enough, etc. But we took care to lock the door. In the morning, the breakfast was at best, ordinary. We were glad to leave.

This was a short trip to see my dad in the hospital during chemo. The trip itself was stressful, but each time we got back to the hotel we felt welcome and at home. If we didn't feel like stopping for something at the store, we could purchase things at the front desk. The kitchenette was fully furnished and a huge blessing since I'm a diabetic. The bed was comfortable, and I have a bad back from an auto wreck years ago. Over all we had a great time while there and will be staying there again for the next round of chemo. :)

The only complaint that I have is that the air conditioning is a little noisy. Other than that everything else was fine.

Wedding crash

We were in town for a wedding and decided to stay overnight. The breakfast was a nice touch but the room air conditioner blew air right on your back and there was no way to ajust it. So that is my only complaint for an otherwise nice room. Thanks for the friendlyness and hospitality.

Nice hotel. Well kept, and very clean. The breakfast was very good, especially for an "included free breakfast". Every breakfast is made to order.
The only bad thing I can say is that the parking lot was somewhat poorly lit. I was slightly uncomfortable leaving my car in the lot. Nothing happened, though.

Good but first impressions are key

I have always enjoyed staying at the Wingate by Wyndham. The hotel was very clean and the room was great, despite me accidentally reserving a smoking room. Unfortunately we were unable to change rooms since the hotel was completely booked due to the CPX event. However, the front desk was the most unpleasant point of contact at that hotel. I forget her name, she was young and had short, blonde hair, but she was incredibly unpersonable and seemed very pre-occupied with her iPhone. Our room had a better personality than her. I would highly recommend that she no longer work on the front lines, because she is the one that gives incoming clients their first and last impression...and she left an impression. Other than that, it's clean, cheap and it was really close to the event we were attending.

Hotel way very easy to find. Room was nice. My room was smokey smelling due to the window being open when I arrived and the three people smoking at the front entrance of the hotel. My room was near the front entrance. Nice place to stay over all tho. Continental breakfast was definitely a plus!

This location is also within minutes of Joliet's great casinos and features a guest laundry facility and data ports in all rooms. You must be 21 years of age or older to check-in at this location. There were no towels or soap when I got to my room. The person who checked in two persons before me came to the front desk to report that there were no sheets on the beds. So when I got to my room I felt lucky to only be missing towels and soap.

Inexpensive and basic

It was fine. Very basic room but also very inexpensive. The only complaint was a motorcycle kept reving its motor right outside my window both evening and morning. Very annoying. When I checked in the woman at the desk was VERY NICE!
