We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was conveniently located and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And despite having a problem loading the key cards(maybe equipment needs replaced)the clerk was smiling and persistent. Would definitely recommend friends to stay there and we will again when in the area.

Traffic noise!

Although very clean, this hotel is very noisy, located RIGHT off the interstate. The bathroom is tiny and poorly situated with the toilet and tub in one room and sink next door, BUT with light switch FOR BOTH not one or the other!
Breakfast was ample with waffles and biscuits and gravy available for hardier appetites.

Stayed here only one night on the way to Chicago. Nice visit. Pool is small but the boys enjoyed it. Good variety of food choices for breakfast. Would stay again! Easy access to interstate.

1) The hotel is ideally located adjacent to restaurants, Starbucks, highway, etc.
2) The desk staff had my after-hours reservation materials at the ready.
3) Despite an after-hours arrival, both the coffee/tea bar and cookie dispenser were loaded for guests/new arrivals.
4) Both the lobby and front desk were clean and nicely decorated for Valentine's Day.
5) When I experience difficulty with the business office's fax machine, the lobby representative immediately volunteered to run my 18 pages of faxes from her desk's fax machine.
6) When I needed directions to points of interest, the lobby representative provided me with TWO maps and detailed directions.
7) Both the desk representatives and the cleaning/maintenance staff were friendly and outgoing.
8) My room and the corridors leading to it were clean, kempt, and quiet.
9) I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Just an overnight stay on the road home, byt very comfortable! Didn't use the breakfast, since I met someone at the nearby Cracker
Barrel. Even though the rom was right on the highway, it was quiet!

Not a bad location. The rooms are a bit dated, could use some updating. The bed linens are quite worn. Carpet was dirty. Don't get too excited about the free movie - these are on VHS and are quite old.

The Howard Johnson Express in Effingham was perfect for our needs. It is conveniently located right off the expressway. We were visiting family in the area & just needed a comfortable place to stay for one night. The room was larger than expected & the hotel manager was friendly when checking us in. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. The outside of the hotel/landscaping could use a facelift, in my opinion, but don't let that steer you away.

Here for the Mid-America Motors VW meet, the motel was clean, very nice. Wonderful breakfast, lots of choices. Waffles, cereal, eggs, sausage, gravy, all the good stuff. Even my picky grandson found something he liked! Hotel is just off the interstate, with other eateries nearby. My son used the exercise room, he said it was good. When we come back in September for the Corvette show, we'll stay here again. Rooms are large w/ 2 queen beds and a fold out couch.

Good Location for the Price

We got there earlier then planned and they put us right into a room. It was clean, 2 double beds, was very quiet until about 4AM when someone in the parking lot started reving up a truck backing it back and forth. This went on until approx 5:30AM. No complaints about anything else. Would definitely recommend it to a friend - was very close to where we were attending the event.

We had a decent experience. I thought there was a funny smell in the room but no one else seemed to notice. I would stay again. Near the interstate. Don't rely on GPS to get you there unless you type the address in manually.

Hallways are a little dirty, but nothing that couldn't be over looked. Again, this is a Days Inn and it's mainly a "motel". Free serve-yourself breakfast was fair. Would recommend for a short overnight stary while traveling in the area.

Wanted double beds, handicapped. First room was clear at the other end of the elevator (thank goodness there was an elevator). Second room was for handicapped and it was half way down the hall (25'). Great bathroom, everything you could possible want, but only one bed. Third room (at our request) was the closest to the elevator and we"d take our chances with the bathroom. The hotel was clean, quiet, nice TV. Everything was five star except for the handicapped issue.

The carpet was absolutely filthy. The grout on the bathroom floor was dirty. [...] The only reason I stayed at this nasty motel is because I had made reservations and when we got there my 87 yr old handicapped mother was in pain and needed to lay down asap, otherwise I would of run from this place. Worse Motel 6 I've ever seen.
