What travelers to Gold Coast are saying

It's a grand city with lots of history and fun to offer. Perhaps, not the best place to visit in August/July (so humid)! However, in the late spring and early fall, you can't go wrong.

Two day business trip. Couple of restaurants and business meetings. That was about it.

Best city ever. There is something to do for anyone. Kids, singles, seniors.

About Chicago’s Gold Coast

No trip to Chicago is complete without a visit to its affluent Gold Coast neighborhood. See for low-rate hotel accommodations that will place you in the heart of Chicago’s Gold Coast, and enjoy the historical buildings, fine dining, designer shopping, and vibrant nightlife. After exploring the area by foot, enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Michigan from one of the Gold Coast’s majestic skyscrapers.

The Gold Coast is a prestigious historic district between Oak Street, Lake Shore Drive, Clark Street, and North Avenue in Chicago’s Near North Side community. Emerging in the 1880s, following the Great Chicago Fire, the area became home to the State’s wealthy and elite. Upon their arrival to the neighborhood, many folks built luxurious mansions, such as Potter Palmer’s famed castle-like home. A walk around this neighborhood rewards you with the rich architecture of the impressive mansions, brownstones, and Victorian townhouses. Two blocks on Astor Street are local landmarks, listed in the National Register of Historical Places.

For a fascinating experience, visit the famed International Museum of Surgical Science, with exhibits of anatomy, orthopedics, stem cells, nuclear medicine, and much more. Stroll along Oak Street to experience Chicago’s Rodeo Drive, brimming with internationally revered designer labels. Savor exclusive dining opportunities at famous restaurants in the Rush Street area and choose between American, Japanese, Italian, Jewish, French, and Mexican fare. After dinner, head for the intersection of Division and Rush Street to enjoy dancing at one of the trendy nightclubs.

Make the most of your visit by adding Chicago’s Gold Coast to your travel itinerary. Take full advantage of the neighborhood’s hotspots and highlights by reserving a hotel room in the Gold Coast District. And, as always, delivers great prices, low room rates, hotel packages, and tickets to attractions and tours.
