Idaho Falls Hotels

Idaho Falls is a city on the Snake River with a population just over 50,000. It is a place visitors often visit when passing through Yellowstone National Park, which is about a three-hour drive. It's also a few hours from Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park. In 2010, Business Week Magazine named the city one of the best places for raising children and starting small businesses. The state is known for growing potatoes and Idaho Falls is no exception.

Conventions

Organizing a small business can be done at the Red Lion Inn, which overlooks the Snake River. The largest room has accommodations for 150 people.

Dining

Several family restaurants serving American dishes can be found near hotels in Idaho Falls, including Sandpiper Restaurant, Stockman's Restaurant, and Dixie's Diner. The Downtown area has a good selection of Asian, Mexican, and Italian restaurants.

Major Point of Interest

Historic Downtown is just east of the Snake River and features a greenbelt near the river used for concerts, fairs, farmers markets, and other community activities. This area includes restaurants, wineries, galleries, and shops.

Shopping

Grand Teton Mall is one of the most popular places to shop in Idaho Falls. It includes well-known chains like Macy's, JCPenny, Sears, Dillard's, Old Navy, and Barnes & Noble. It also features restaurants and places to shop for music and electronics.

Attractions

The internationally known Museum of Idaho is an excellent place to study prehistoric exhibits. Kids will enjoy the Tautphaus Park Zoo, which includes mini-carnival rides.
