It was perfect location to what we were doing in town. The room was fine; had everything we needed. Wonderful, helpful staff. Great breakfast! They let us check in quite early and we loved the noon check-out. Also appreciate the 24 hour coffee and tea in lobby, as well as the microwave and fridge in the room.

The hotel was very easy to find. Our room was very clean and the hotel staff were all very friendly. A good all around stay. The only thing I was disappointed in was the breakfast. No hot foods were offered. Other than that a very good experience.

After a long flight across the country it was nice to stay at a hotel that was clean, comfortable and a great price. Being close to the airport was perfect and believe it or not you couldn't hear any of the planes from the airport. The breakfast was nice too.

We stayed at this hotel while attending the football bowl game between Ohio & Utah State. The staff and service was great and they even throw in a continental breakfast which is actually very good. Great location and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We stayed here on a stop on our way back home. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious for our 1 year old, and 2 dogs. The only complaint was there was no continental breakfast, which I didn't realize until morning. I didn't even think to look because almost everywhere has breakfast anymore. But the price was great for the room! Would stay here again!

I was more than pleased to find this hotel was conveniently close enough to the airport but more importantly smack dab in the midst of a lot of really nice shops and restaurants and other entertainment venues. The room was extremely comfortable and cleaned and freshened daily. I am sure to select this place when I travel to Boise again.

Location was fairly easy to get to, but away from the airport which was fine by me. The staff was very friendly! Accommodations were well appointed.
Only negatives - TV channels were fuzzy, there was a used napkin in the corner that the cleaning staff missed, and there was a buzzing sound coming from the floor below. Did not use the swimming pool, but it looked nice.
Breakfast was OK - better than most continental offerings. You could also order food at anytime. Prices were pretty decent. I ordered a breakfast burrito at 9 PM just after I checked in. It was pretty good and only set me back $8.
Overall, would definitely stay there again!

The staff was very courteous and helpful. The pet charge for our dog was only $10! The hotel is in a quiet area with trees and a close walk to the Boise River and the Greenbelt.

As the hotel description suggests, it is a boutique type hotel though not of the highbrow nature that such a description usually implies. You can tell from the architecture and some fittings that it is an older building. However, it has been refurbished and well cared for. The rooms are very large with a sitting area including TV, couch, chair and coffee table with a separate area for the bed(s)...which are wonderfully comfortable, by the way. The bathroom area is multi-room, set up in such a way that two people can be preparing at once. The hotel is quiet with a very nice indoor pool, which you can watch as you come up or down the glass-walled elevator. It is handily located to a number of activities, including the Boise Town Square shopping mall. The rooms have coffee makers, microwaves, and ironing boards but could use refrigerators.

Please may I have a room not occupied already?

I came down as a local resident and checked in about 3:00pm. I just asked for a room key as I would be back later. When I returned later, with bag in hand and went up to my room. I opened the door to discover the room was already occupied with another person's stuff it it. I did not venture in to see if they were present or not. So back to lobby to ask for a room that was not occupied. Which the lobby attendant was more that happy to do and applogized there was a glitch in there system ealier which caused the oversight and he was going to up grade us to a premier King room now due to the mistake. Rest of the trip was in one word AWWW!!!

Comfortable king sized bed. We needed a cot for our 17 year old son. The cot was almost as nice as a twin bed....not too bad to sleep on according to our son who came along last minute. The $4.99 buffet breakfast was worth the price however, would have preferred to eat on china plates, not styrofoam plates. Would stay again.

The hotel was more than we expected having traveled often. It was in a great location, quiet, clean everything we needed at our time of need. Everyone was helpful with a pleasant attitude, and quick to answer any and all questions we had. Thank you for making every minute we were there great.

Mine was a last minute trip, and my first time in Boise. The hotel is well appointed, clean and quiet, despite being so close to the freeways and mall. I was particularly happy to find eggs, potatoes, french toast,pancakes, fruit and cereal all included as part of the complementary breakfast. Additionally, having microwave popcorn in the room was a great touch.

This was my first visit to Boise and it was on business. I really didn't expect much, but Hotel 43 was a very warm and inviting stay. Staff was very professional and helpful. Rooms were well appointed. Basic amenities i.e. breakfast/coffee shop, workout facility were just right. And, the location is perfect for both both business and a great selection of dining options.

Returned to this hotel after a week of skiing in Sun Valley secifically for the bed! And to get a steak & potato at Chandler's restaurant downstairs. Slept so well we almost missed our noon flight the next day!

Was next to ice vending, not a sound insulated wall between. Woken up as late as 3:15 by door slamming and drinks falling. Perhaps O gets the worst rooms!

I liked mostly everything about staying at the Grove. My only complaint is a little one and that is the shower was small and the faucet and fixtures were coming loose from the wall. The light was also really dim in there. But the room was really comfortable and clean. We had a good view and we loved the spa/work out facilities.

Located next to the Boise mall making it very convenient for shopping, food and business. Just wish we could have had more time. Staff was courteous and helpful. Pool open 24 hours.

Three day visit and there was a conference that I attended on site. Check-in took less than 2 minutes. My son enjoyed the pool, although it is rather small, it is in a great location. The room was very quiet and peaceful and the hotel was in a great location for getting around town. Lots of places to walk to for dinner and the REI was really close.

Hard boiled eggs were different and GOOD. Much better than scrambled fake eggs. They gave me a handicap room, which was clean and ok. I did not get out of the room to explore other amenities.

We stay at this hotel when ever we are in Boise. Close to University and our sons.
Rooms on the west side have been upgraded and are better. the bed in our room was like a rock, we will not hold that against them this time.
This hotel is also close to the Ram resturant whic is a plus.

This hotel is very nice to stay in. The rooms are nice and big with very comfortable king size beds. The restaurant/cafeteria hours were shorter than we would have liked, but the food was very good. They also have free internet, but the speed seemed to be slow on one side of the hotel, but not the other. Overall, though, this is a great hotel to stay in for a business trip; especially if your business is at Boise State University which is only a few minutes away.

We came to visit my son who just moved to Boise and with the great stay at your hotel will definitely come back. All the staff were friendly and helpful to any questions that we had. It was close by the airport with a shuttle which was very convenient.
It was clean.
You could hear noise in other rooms. I was awakened by an alarm in another room.

The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The help was great and was very helpful. I needed some copies of documents and they were willing to make the copies for me.

I was in town to race a 70.3 (triathlon) and was glad to have all sorts of in-room amenities such as a fridge, microwave & a coffee maker.
The room was clean, spacious and although my window faced the highway, it was still fairly quiet (minus the occasional very loud motorcycle).
This hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms are traditional to contemporary now. The bathroom is also spacious and has plenty of room to store toiletries.
The staff was incredibly pleasant esp. considering that I FedEx'd my big bike box to them and had them help me send it back home as well.
The hotel is also a short drive from downtown but if you don't want to get in the car in order to go out, then stay downtown. Otherwise there is chain restaurant w/in walking distance of this Hampton (and no, I didn't eat there).

BSU Game and Boise Stay

We decided to get a room for the BSU vs. Fresno Game in Boise to be able to enjoy the game local and not drive too far in the weather. The night reception we went to at 7pm was very limited and out of everything. They were not able to re-stock Salsa when I asked? How do you run out of Salsa at a Mexican Buffet? But the breakfast the next morning made up for the missing items at the evening reception. The room was very well maintained and clean. We enjoyed the time we spent at the Oxford in Boise, ID very much!

This hotel is very acceptable. The value is higher than average. Everything was clean and the room was an acceptable size.
A number of small details detracted from the overall experience. The door lock malfunctioned and despite a quick response they never got it fixed. The Wi-Fi was quirky. It would drop off as often as every 20 minutes and never stayed available for more than an hour without having to continually sign back on. The TV reception was spotty/variable. Perhaps it was the set or maybe the cable--I didn't bother to complain after going through the door lock issue.
Given the value/location I would try them again to see if another room would be better.

Great downtown location!

My husband and I went to Boise to celebrate our 2nd anniversary! We love modern/hipster downtown living so The Modern Hotel seemed perfect. Originally I booked two nights and needed to add a third night just days before our trip. The hotel staff was great when I called, they matched the [...]price and got me all set up! The hotel looks modern and unique from the outside. You can tell that it's been converted from an old travel lodge. The rooms are exactly like they show in the pictures, modern and cute. The bed was really comfortable and the bathrooms were really awesome. The location of the hotel was so amazing, once we got there we didn't drive our car until the day we left. There's an amazing coffee shop and boutique right next door to the hotel. The Modern Bar is something else. Very sleek and has a great outdoor dining/drinking space that was featured in sunset magazine. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else if I returned to Boise! I would recommend this hotel to anyone especially couples, groups of friends, or single travelers.

Rooms are small but comfortable. Nice modern design. Comfortable bed. Shower was cool looking but not very practical. I highly recommend staying in a room away from the bar because it can get very loud at night.
