This was a very grungy looking hotel. kind of nasty in fact, but after staying the night, it was perfect. it is nice and well kept on the inside and it was every thing we had hoped for.

I always get good service. Friendly staff. The free WiFi is a big plus. Only minus is that the heating unit is fairly noisy.

We had a great stay with great service. The pool was nice and the breakfast was good. I would recomend to anyone.

The night staff was very friendly and helpful; however, the room itself could have been cleaned better. Dusty tables and a not so clean sink. The pool area looked decent; however, when using the "fitness center", the machines were older and made a lot of noise. All in all, it was an alright stay for a decent price.

Rooms were clean and well-kept. My room included a microwave oven and a mini fridge. Air conditioner worked exceptionally well. Cable TV, comfy beds and there was McDonald's right next door for late night snacks or early morning breakfast. Great shower with immediate hot water.

Charming Place

I was in Fort Madison on business. Typically, I would have gone for a chain hotel such as Comfort Suites but I decided to try something new. I was pleasantly surprised with the charm of the Inn. It has a lot of character and the staff was friendly. It is an old building but they have kept it in good shape!

This is a great bed and breakfast type hotel. It is newly remodeled and the owners are just great We loved the "old" type charm. The insulation made the hotel very quiet, but we could still hear train horns. I really liked the experience of closeness to the Mississippi River, and we really like trains as well.
