Originally looked at a bed and breakfast for an overnight stay. Found Hotel Julien and it was fantastic. I wish that we would have stayed two nights to enjoy all that this establishment offered. The resturant food and staff were amazing!! We will definetly make this a repeat getaway!!

Adequate accomodations in Dubuque

Arrived with no reservation, got reasonable rate. Room was clean. Wireless Internet was not super fast but was reliable. Included breakfast was above average for a motel in this price range, I think they had fruit AND a waffle maker. Numerous free entertainment/tourism newspapers were available. The dining area was startlingly cold but it was March.

I usually stay at another hotel when I go to Dubuque but that one was booked. I thought I would try the Fairfield. I arrived early and my room was not ready yet, however they let me check in early and gave me the key to the room. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. The staff was helpful. My only complaint would be that there weren't enough parking spaces. Overall, I would definitely stay at the Fairfield again.

This was meant as a quick overnight to visit Dubuque and it was perfect. Located outside of town the hotel impressed me with its updated rooms. I spend at least 12 nights in hotels a month at middle level chain hotels. I had not spent been at a Comfort Inn for a while and was impressed with its comfortable beds and soft linens. The continental breakfast also had a couple of hot options which was also unexpected. Overall though, the modern, bright and clean rooms truly impressed me.

Good family hotel

Our stay was uneventful here. One thing is the hotel restauant was good with reasonable prices. The waterpark was a little smaller than expected but kids seemed to have fun. Yes, I would stay here again.

Being on banks of Missisipi river makes it a great location. Hotel waterpark is fun for kids and family together. Good food & live music at Tony Roma's.
Hotel staff is very friendly. Excellent value at the price paid :-).
Description
The Dubuque Motel 6 is conveniently located off US 20. This Inn is completely remodeled with free high speed internet, free local calls, heated pool and expanded cable television.

We arrived friday, about 5:30PM, and were greeted by a friendly clerk and were checked in speedily. We had to leave without examining the room, to get to our training sessions. We returned to the room that night around 9PM.
The room was clean and neat, just what we expected for the few hours we needed to sleep.
The only problem was, there was a mountain of snow piled on the parking area in front of our room and the temperature in the room had to be 40 degrees. We had to wait about two hours till the room heated up so we could get into a chilly bed.
We've been here before and will come again.
If all you need is a clean, inexpensive place to sleep, this is it.

Riding Harley's along Missippi River on IL and IA side of river. Just need place to sleep.Want to stay in Galena IL.But Dubuque IA only Hotel with 2 rooms.
