One-night stopover

We stopped here for one night on a two-day driving trip to the east coast. The hotel had easy access on and off the highway, was very quiet, and in what to be appeared to be fairly safe neighborhood. The continental breakfast was pretty much on par with other hotels of this rating. The property was older but comfortable enough for an overnight stay, and would be OK for a couple of nights. If you're looking for luxury this ain't it, but it's good for travelers looking to stopover for a night or two. One thing to know is that it is a two-story property without an elevator, so if you're on the second floor you will have to cart your luggage up the stairs.

We stayed here one night for a friends wedding. The room was nice for the price. Bed comfortable, bathroom adequate, and area wasn't too noisy. Continental breakfast was good! Coffee, muffins, cereal, etc. Overall I'd say it was a good room for the price.

We were counseled by the hotel reviews to take a room in the front side because of freeway nose. on arrival they changed our three rooms reservation to the front.(great help from the employee at the reception).
We had a great night and a great breakfast, so we decided to book three rooms for three nights in Chicago (Elk Grove).

We stayed in this hotel on the way to chicago. Overall experience was great. Only thing is noise from I-80 wasn't pleasant :). I recommend to get the front faced room. We didn't find bathroom and chair/cushion very clean. Bed was comfortable and clean. Front desk staff (Aaron) was very helpful - he offered a free water bottle (vending machine was out of water bottle). Check in/out was express. Overall, I am satisfied and would recommend to others.

Most of hotel looks like its from '70s.
Boiler not turned on so blowing cold air into room, had to get transfered to newer room. Headlights from very near intersection shining into room.
Excercise room had broken and old equipment.

Enjoyed the restaurant fare. Room and public areas were spotless and well maintained. Was quiet and pleasant. Conveniently located at I-80 and 61, I was not bothered at all by traffic noise and I am a very light sleeper.

Good experience for two couples to attend funeral

We accompanied my brother who had driven over 600 miles that day and arrived at Days Inn to find our reservation was all recorded and all they needed was to look at my picture to be sure I was the one who made it. We parked within 15 yards of the front door and found our room very close on the ground floor.
The door key cards worked perfectly, and our room was spacious and clean with two comfortable queen beds.
I was awakened by snoring from the other person in my bed which I stopped by a nudge. The little refrigerator was close to the bed, and ran several times, then the fan on the heater also came on until I turned it down. About then someone in the other bed snored. Finally I went to the bathroom for some quiet and nearly fell asleep.
I went back to bed and fell asleep till morning, all rested.

Experiance was good, but the work out facility was under construction. They had an agreement with a gym, but it was inconvenient to walk there.
Breakfast in the morning was late for room service.

We were in town for the Bix. The hotel provided what was needed of it - a place to rest. But it reeked of cigarette smoke (non-smoking room), the AC was either ice box or sauna and the lighting a bit dim. The worst was the bathroom - the shower area had mildew all over the drop ceiling, and even in some nooks and crannies. Gross! The bed was comfortable, though it lacked in warm blankets and was a bit soft. Next time we'll pay the extra $20 a night and stay somewhere we know will be clean and comfortable.

The staff that I seen was very nice and the rooms were clean. I got in late so did not get the chance to try ou tthe pool or the hot tub, but both looked clean. The complimentary breakfast smelled good but I did not have time to sit and eat anything as I had to leave right away in the morning.

I reserved this hotel on Orbitz for 4 nights and got a confirmation e-mailed to me. When we went to check in, the hotel only had us down for 1 night and the type of room we reserved was not available. They did upgrade us to a jacuzzi room but it only had 1 bed and our teenage daughter had to sleep on a rollaway. They also had to scrounge up a microwave and refrigerator that were supposed to be in the room but weren't. They were really nice about it but I don't understand exactly what happened with the Orbitz reservation. Also, we were charged more than what the Orbitz confirmation stated, and the manager was not there at check-out time so we could not talk to him about it.

Excellent Historic Renovation

We enjoy our stays at historic hotels recently renovated and modernized. Suffice to say this was the best of the bunch, well appointed with lots of the extras to enjoy in the room. Coffee shop was good, bar and restaurant was popular and the Bix quartet playing in the lobby on Sunday morning was a real topper. We'll stay here again and certainly recommend our family and friends to do the same.

We had a good experience at the motel but when we checked in [...] had told the motel that we wanted 3 rooms for 4 people but in fact had asked for 2 rooms for 4 people. The motel canceled the 3rd room and didn't charge us but said we should let you know that we really only had wanted 2 rooms for 4 adults. Thank you!

This motel has a really good location near shopping and several restaurants. The wait for checkin and checkout was long...no one at the front desk. But overall a very nice motel and I'd stay there again.

The Good and the Bad - No Ugly

I was there for a family funeral. I had requested a smoking room. Two hours before my flight I received a phone call from Orbitz saying that the Hotel had changed to a non-smoking facility and was that all right? Well, at that point it had to be. Also, the power went out the early morning I was returning and they didn't have flashlights or candles. However, all of the staff was great.

The room was clean and the rates were cheap, but there was really no place to eat close by except a Denny's. The complimentary breakfast was very lackluster and the styrofoam plates, cups and plastic flatware were depressing. Worse I had to listen to Fox News at breakfast. UGGGH

The hotel is new and clean. The pillows were comfortable and we got a good nights rest. The breakfact was very good, everything was hot and fresh. Loved the brand of shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Is wasn't that far to get downtown, just a short hop on the freeway. My husband wanted to check out the famous I80 Truckstop which was just a few miles up the road. We ate downtown at Mac's very reasonable, very friendly bartender and most of all great burgers!

Just an overnight stay on the way South for spring break. My son was going to sleep on the sofa bed and when I opened it, the sheets were dirty; actually blood stained. A used water bottle (empty) was in the sofa bed as well. Tried to call the desk but nobody answered for over 30 minutes. When I complained when I finally got somebody, they were apologetic. I again complained the next morning and I was offered a $10 credit. Maid service is clearly substandard as is overall attention to detail and customer service. Won't stay here again.

I went to Davenport Iowa for a wedding, basically this is a no thrills hotel. I stayed 3 nights, the only issue I did have is that the room was not cleaned my entire stay, I had to ask for towels each day because the staff did not replace them.

refridgerator and microwave in the room would have made the stay more enjoyable. hotel was in a great location, easy to find and clean. located close to the attractions we wanted to see. close to restaurants, had continental breakfast in the morning. all in all: good experience!

Had to call clerk first night to have next door room turn down music. This was not effective. Did not sleep well. Second night was ok since the party did not return.

We booked this hotel for the purpose of going to the riverfront and taking in a minor league baseball game. The hotel was farther away than we had understood when booking it. Nonetheless, it was one of the better deals in the area. The air conditioner in our room was quite old and the fridge smelled so bad you couldn't put anything in it. Other than that it was o.k.
