The hotel was nice but, I thouhgt we were getting a non-smoking room and it wasn't and you could smell smoke as soon as you got off the elevator. And we had no pool.

The hotel was in a good location with easy access to the highways and downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and I got two great nights of sleep. This hotel is a good deal.

Hotel was good, nothing outstanding. They have done a good job of restoring the hotel after the flooding in '08, you will not notice. There is nothing remarkable about the hotel, it is your basic stay. Little disappointed that they still have not upgraded TV's to flat panel, but that's a very minor detail. The wireless connected effortlessly. Be aware that this hotel is on the other side of the river from downtown.

Pros: Affordable, free breakfast, free wifi (okay speed), decent room size, and the staff was very friendly.
Cons: Bathroom very small, room not very well sound insulated (could hear people talking outside very clearly at 5am), and there were some bugs in my room (roly polys, beetles, and some spiders).

When I travel, I do not spend much time in the hotel because I always fill my day up with activities. This hotel is great for that because it provides a great bed to sleep on compared to other hotels in the area. Security is a major factor at this hotel as well. You must have your key-card to access the stairs and elevator. One thing that disappoints me with the place is the breakfast. When compared to continental breakfasts at other locations, it just does not stand up to the competition. The big part of the meal is make your own waffles, but there is not much else besides some fruit and a limited selection on toast/English muffins.

The hotel is good size and probably use to be a very nice hotel 20 years ago. The hotel is a bit dated but still is well worth the money. The beds were comfortable, nice pillows and sheets. The customer service was top notch! The breakfast was decent but nothing special.

Stay went well. The room was nice and clean, and worked well for a quick overnight business trip. I would have been comfortable there for a longer stay. Great deal with "happy hour" food and drink. Breakfast was very good. Will definitely stay again.

We were in town to attend a Hawkeye game and to do a little site seeing. The hotel was everything we expected according to hotel descriptions. The breakfast had a good variety each morning and the pillow top mattresses were very comfortable. The hotel staff could not have been any better - very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were very clean, the staff were very friendly. The facility is clean and modern. I would have appreciated coffee in the lobby in addition to the couple of cups the in-room coffee maker produced.

The hotel was ok - they are going through renovations and there are signs stating so. We were just passing through, so we were fine with that. Had to drive about a mile for restaurants, etc. The morning breakfast was fine. I would stay again while passing through for the value.

The Best Western Longbranch had a great location for us. Right in the middle of all the places we wanted and needed to go. The room was great. I'm a light sleeper, but had no problems. The 3rd floor was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Even the pillows were comfortable. I normally bring my own on trips. Staff was helpful and friendly. I had a clean and quiet room. The pool area looked nice, but I wasn't able to check it out. I had a work appointment early Sunday morning. I went down to the continental breakfast only to find out it didn't open until 7 AM on weekends. That gave me very little time to wolf down some breakfast before I was off.

No problems and what you'd expect for a quality experience in the Holiday Express / Hampton / Fairfield segment. Manager's beer reception in the late afternoon was a nice touch- Linenkugel's, Mike's Hard Lemonade, cookies, snacks, 2 drink coupons per guest. Breakfast was great - pancakes, biscuits and gravy, ripe fruit, yogurt, etc., and always well-staffed. Room was clean and comfortable. Good shower pressure and temperature. Wi-fi access was free and fast-enough. Lobby computer and printer worked for printing boarding passes. No problems and good stay!

This is the second time around for our family and as with the first the service was excellent. The breakfast was wonderful. Staff is very friendly. Again the only thing that would add to this stay would be a small fridge in the room. Definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

The staff was friendlyand the room was clean. The hot tub is very small and for the second time I have been there the jets did not seem to work.

This is not the Ritz and is a little beat up but, if all you need is a room with a bed, bath and a TV, you cannot beat the price! Needs new bed linens, and it helps if you know what Cat, Cummins, and Detroit Diesel refer to.

After reading the other reviews I was a little worried about booking here, but I could not pass up the price. It is close to interstate and since we were just needing somewhere to stay the night and this fit our budget this was the best choice for us. The room was clean the staff was friendly. The only complaint I have was that the room was very hot. The ac was way too small to cool that room down so none of us slept well at all.

We were in town for a concert and the birth of my greatgranddaughter so sleep was important. The beds were comfortable and the room temperature was just right.
I was not very impressed with the breakfast menue but I don't care for cold breakfast such as danish and cereal.
We always stay at this motel when we go home and this trip was just as good as the rest and maybe better. The housekeeper was the mother of my Godchild that I had lost trak of so that was an extra plus.
We will be going back of Friday after Thanksgiving and we will probably stay here then.

The hotel was clean as well as the room. I like the security of the hotel, you needed your room card to get in the outside door. Location was great, close to everyting. Price was great for what you didn't get, pool, restaurant, or bar.

I booked a 2 bedroom unit because there were 3 of us & we all needed our own bed but when we checked in our room it was only one room with 2 beds & a pull out couch. I went back down to the desk & they tried to tell me that where it said "2 bedroom" that it meant 2 beds in a room. I explained that when I booked the room that it said 3 queen beds. [...] I showed them all of the paperwork and they said that there must have been a mistake and they could move us to the correct room the next night but we would have to stay in the room with 2 beds for the first night.[...]

We got to the hotel after snow fall a few days previous, and the lot was not very clear. Our room smelled like smoke, which I did not have a chance to request a smoke free room. Very small room with two queen beds. For the price, we were ok for the one night, if it would have been two nights, the four of us would have had to find a different hotel. I think because it was a smoking room, I felt it was dirty.

The hotel was inexpensive and the room was clean. There was a pool, but i checked in kind of late so i never saw it. Ended up leaving because i couldnt sleep. Too quiet, no clock.. or clock radio that seem to be standard issue. so no noise or any way to mark the time. Gave it up around 3am and checked out. Very hot water in the shower and fridge in the room were good though.

I was in town for Parent's weekend at U of I-- and (as usual) did not reserve enough ahead of time to have a wide choice. It was further away than I would have liked-- but that's my own fault. The price was very reasonable-- and the motel was quiet. The people running the hotel were friendly and quick to help us with any questions we had. The rooms are not fancy and some of the furniture and fixtures do show age and wear-- but it was clean and quiet. They did not even blink when we checked in 2 hours earlier than check in time-- and if they had not been busy over the weekend would have allowed a late checkout. It is a good place to stay when all you really need is a place to sleep. If the motel is part of the vacation-- pool for kids, etc-- you might want to look a bit further. The motel does have a pool-- but it's fairly small. I do prefer motels with interior room doors-- and this motel has that. Overall, it's not fancy-- but for the price-- it's a good choice. Especially if you have a college student with a long shopping list of things Dad needs to buy for him while in town and want to save as much as you can on accommodations!

Lobby is beautiful, front desk staff very nice. Breakfast area very nice, usual breakfast offerings. Pool was nice sized, not very many chairs only 2 sitting areas. Room was on 2nd floor, carpet was new, walls had been painted, but didn't seem worth the price that was paid, bedspread was new but had a few spots on it looked like they would've washed right out if someone would've taken the time. Not impressed with the room at all, not worth the money.

The location is close to the airport but noise was not an issue. It is also a close enough to the Amana Colonies for easy access. This was a much nicer option than some of the hotel chains located around the Amanas. Breakfast options were basic but offered hot eggs and waffles. Staff was very friendly and helpful. No in room microwave or fridge. For the price I would think this would be a given.

I was there just for one night--convenient to airport and shuttle is provided. The carpet was not clean; and there was something wrong with the bathroom sink-faucet would not give cold water.
