All Staff was very friendly and helpful. A great value. About 15 minutes to Downtown on the highway or 20 minutes through the old neighborhoods. The included breakfast was well stocked and the Mgt. was not in a hurry to shut it down just because the clock pased 9AM.

Great experience. I came to town on business. The room accommodations were very nice and my particular room was in a great location on the 1st floor close to exits, dining room, etc. All the staff was most cordial and accommodating. I would definitely stay at this location again.

There was a musty smell to the rooms. The hotel was very outdated. The free breakfast was not very good. It was questionable how clean everything was.

The hotel was very clean and the desk staff was absolutely top drawer.
The only reason I did not give them five stars was that our room was on the edge of the property adjacent to a busy road, the noise was a bit much overnight. Not something they can really control but if you go there make sure you are not on the end units by the road.

Very good hotel. Clean, excellent cooling system, comfortable bed, nice parking garage, friendly courteous staff. Convenient plentiful breakfast.
A bit difficult to get to from some directions is the only problem we encountered. 5 miles from the river district but roads to it through the "Savannah Squares" are fantastic

Should of known better

Should have known to run to the office and get a refund when daughter found a hair in her sheets. But I was not going to let that influence my stay. Until, the toilet was overflowing and I was handed a plunger and told this wasn't a full service hotel (LOL). Are they freaking serious. I asked the lady at the front desk about another room and she stated I would not be happy with any of the other rooms.(So your basically saying all the rooms are horrible). Finally her husbands arrives, stating there are no more rooms available(very convenient).He used a snake and ended up pulling a fork out of the toilet. No apologies, nothing. When I do have to return to Savannah I will definitely pay any amount to have some since of cleanliness.

It was a great location for what I wanted to do, a good price but I didn't like I had to take my own linen to the front desk to get new ones (there was a sign in the room telling you that if you're not staying for 7 days they don't clean everyday) or dump my own trash. If had a old smell but the employees was very nice and helpful.

We came to Savannah on a conference and changed hotels b/c the original hotel wanted to charge us an outrageous price for the extra night. We chose Marriott b/c we are rewards members and because [...]had a great deal for them. The room was literally down the street from the original hotel. Clean,comfortable, and very friendly. Great breakfast offered! Wonderful customer service.

The hotel room was fine. Comfortable, safe and a very accomodating staff--on every level, not just the front desk but all the staff members. They truly take an interest in their work! There was never any hesitation on their part to respond to my needs. The continental breakfast even had eggs! And the evening complimentay chicken & dumplings was really good!

Not As Good As Hampton Inn

For a room that's priced at $150.00 I would expect a bit more. Other hotels that are similarly priced and even lower feature WI-FI and a free breakfast. This hotel has updated land line based internet and charges $9.95 for the same kind of breakfast that Hampton Inn provides free of charge.

This was a very good experience. At first, I wasn't sure, because I needed to change or add a name to the reservation, and the hotel refused to do so. They finally relented after an booking representative called them, though. They even allowed my mother to add an extra day for herself, which was nice of them since they were busy for the holidays. The staff was nice and the room was clean with a large TV. Recommended!

Nice base for visiting Savannah and Tybee Island. The hotel had a microwave in the room which was excellent. The room refrigerator was excellently working. The hotel carpet needs a real cleaning and no room safe. Also the AC was working well and not that noisy (It was in the heat of July ... high 90's)

The check in was great! The staff was knowledgable. Our AC was not working properly but the staff came right away and assisted us. My children loved the room and the comfy bed and pillows. The breakfast was great. The morning staff was just wonderful. The lady kept the breakfast area very tidy and she was very nice. The staff all smiled and said hello when they passed you. It was GREAT! My daughter will be attending Savannah State; I know where I will stay when my family and I come to visit her. Way to Go LaQuinta!

I made this trip to go to my child's graduation. I needed a decent hotel for a reasonable price and that is what I got. The first night I did not check in until after midnight and had no problem doing so. The room was clean and reasonably spacious. The bathroom could have used a little help like minor fixes to some fixtures. Minor issues: the TV remote was held together with tape, & the light over the bathroom sink was way too dim. Positives: clean and the maid did clean up between the 2 nights I was there.

We were in town for a wedding at the Mackey House. We were less than 10 minutes from the venue so it was perfect. If we were going to stay at the beach, it would have been a little far, but there are tons of restaurants and shopping around to keep busy. Wonderful staff and delicious breakfast. Rooms were very spacious and clean. They even let us check in a little early!

Our experience was great!! We didn't realize until we arrived how close we were to so many locations. This was very important to us. The mall was in walking distance, restaurants were right around the corner, and it was a very short drive to Tybee Island as well as Downtown to the River Walk. Overall we had a wonderful time!!! Oh, did I mention the continental breakfast was wonderful. Hot food, not just cereal and bagels!!!

I came to Savannah to run the inaugural Rock and Roll Savannah Marathon and stayed at this budget friendly chain. Most of the other nearby hotels were charging above $85 for the same room. I choose this property because of their brand, price, and closeness of race weekend activities.
The check in process was fast. The room was clean and in working order. The bed was comfortable, but it was challenge on trying to sleep, due to the time zone difference.

For the price of a decent budget motel the Oglethorpe was a fantastic surprise! The rooms were really suites with a kitchenette, separate sleeping and living area along with a desk and work area. The hotel itself had a very attractive interior; charming and very Southern. The "continental" breakfast included fresh Belgian waffles, fruit, yogurt selection, etc, etc..
We were extremely please with the Oglethorpe and will certainly be staying with them again.

The carpet was disgusting looking. I saw several bugs here and there. The price was fair, i guess for just a one night trip. Oh and the sheets did not fit the bed, they kept popping off everytime you sat or layed on the bed.

I was somewhat disapppointed in the hotel. There were no ice machines and the office lobby closed at 9 or 10 PM, so if you needed anything after hours you were just up a creek without a paddle as they say. It is about 5 miles from the historic district of Savannah which is closer than hotels in I-95. I saw a few shady looking characters checking in and there didn't seem to be any security.

This appeared to be a cheap hotel that's trying to get its act together. The rooms were clean, however the one of the double bed comforters has a burned whole. Ok room if you not going to spend a lot of time there. Which we didn't so for the price and location it was great.
