Location is great. Walking distance a mile or less to historic squares and river shops. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, clean bathrooms, but those h2o conservation showers heads are not my style, breakfast is good and staff are courteous and informative.

We really enjoyed staying at Avia and couldn't think of a better place to stay while we were in Savannah. The hotel staff was excellent from check-in to check-out. This includes everyone from the front desk, service staff, concierge, bartenders, door men, etc. The hotel is perfectly situated for you to walk to shops, head on down to River street, explore old mansions and walking distances to great restaurants and nightlife. We really enjoyed the pool as well during our time there especially since it was unseasonably warm. Hotel Avia is well worth the money and delivers great value.

Thought we had found a perfect room until we got ready for sleep. Our room faced the river but in between was a very noisy four lane road. Heard trucks most of the night. The hotel, however, was very nice - just ask for a room away from the river view.

Hotel was properly staffed for the large number of guests. Staff was friendly and helpful in providing information for the surrounding areas. Also, enjoyed using the gym facility during my visit.
Unfortunately, the Hotel was not as close to the river as expected, but not a bad walk with the right pair of shoes. You must valet; on the way in we had to wait for someone to get the car, but had a much smoother experience getting the car on the way out since you can call ahead.

1.Location is very good.

Problems:
1. Parking does not have room if Motel is booked.
2. Liquid soap without dispenser is nonsense
3. No extra toilet paper
4. The breakfast- nothing good about it. I prefer to pay less without breakfast. So many good food places around.

The hotel was located in a great spot, staff were friendly, rooms were clean and bed were comfy. I'd recommend it for travelers on a budget cause other hotels in the area are a ridiculous price.

The hotel itself was beautiful and the staff were nice and accommodating, however, the room was very small and the bathroom was near closet size. Additionally, we had to call the front desk three times before someone finally arrived to handle an ant problem in our room. The problem was solved by hotel staff spraying Raid on the line and colony of ants that had accumulated by the time the arrived. We will find other accomodations on our next visit to the wonderful city of Savannah, GA.

All Staff was very friendly and helpful. A great value. About 15 minutes to Downtown on the highway or 20 minutes through the old neighborhoods. The included breakfast was well stocked and the Mgt. was not in a hurry to shut it down just because the clock pased 9AM.

Should have known to run to the office and get a refund when daughter found a hair in her sheets. But I was not going to let that influence my stay. Until, the toilet was overflowing and I was handed a plunger and told this wasn't a full service hotel (LOL). Are they freaking serious. I asked the lady at the front desk about another room and she stated I would not be happy with any of the other rooms.(So your basically saying all the rooms are horrible). Finally her husbands arrives, stating there are no more rooms available(very convenient).He used a snake and ended up pulling a fork out of the toilet. No apologies, nothing. When I do have to return to Savannah I will definitely pay any amount to have some since of cleanliness.

The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room itself was neat and clean but some of the bathroom fixtures were rusted and needed to be replaced. One other issue was that I requested extra towels that morning and had to wait over an hour to get them. I went to the desk and housekeeping but none were available. This made me late for checkout, but of course there was no charge. Overall, it was cool for the price and quick booking, but I probably wouldn't stay here again.

This hotel is conveniently located near I-95, and is just a few minutes away from downtown Savannah. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was delicious too!

We walk in and first thing we see is the vaulted ceilings. The staff was great and friendly. For the price you really can't beat it. They're plenty of gas stations close by and since its right off 95 it will take you where you need to go.

Our room was very spacious and elegantly apppointed. The bathroom arrangement was a bit odd with a curtain system, but we made it work. We ate two breakfasts and one dinner at the adjoining restaurant; the food was excellent, and the service was skilled but slow. Forsyth Park across the street was beautiful, but we wouldn't recommend the cafe, which we tried for lunch.

The hotel staff and accomodations were fabulous. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and returning to Savannah. We love the city and being at Tybee Island. This was our first time at the Mansion and will not be our last. The room was gorgeous and quiet which was perfect for us. Everyone was very attentive to our needs. We were very impressed. I have told everyone that they must stay at the Mansion the next time they are in Savannah.

The room was clean but the bed sheets had dog hair on them. Good cheap place to stay for the night. Will go again just because of how cheap it is compared to the other places and close to where I needed to be.

The rooms were adequate; nothing special, or especially nice. My one big complaint was the HGUGE crack between the door and door frame! It made the room musty, especially since it rained our whole trip. We wound up stuffing towels in the space. The complimentary breakfast was what helped with our decision to book here, and though it wasnt the tastiest, there was enough variety to keep us happy for a couple days. The location wasnt bad - 15 mins from downtown, & all you need to do is drive straight down Abercorn! Tybee Island's beach was about 20 mins away - we didnt mind the small dive, because we saved so much booking with this hotel.

Heavenly Beds

We have stayed here several times and always enjoy our stay. We love the location and always have gotten a river view room. The room has always been clean and comfortable. The sitting area with view of the river is a cute plus that my husband and I have enjoyed. The Westin's Heavenly Beds are wonderful! A big reason why we continue to go to Westins. These are the only beds that we sleep as well on as we do when we are at home. The grounds were cute and it was fun sitting on the terrace for out in the gazebo. This was a completely enjoyable hotel! We would definitely stay again if in the Savannah area.

This was a quick trip for the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Savannah is really a beautiful city, the people are nice, and the food is outstanding. We explored the older parts of town, ate at some of the nicer places (get reservations for Elizabeth's on 37th for a wonderful fine dining experience). The hotel's heavenly beds delivered, as usual. May have just been the holiday weekend, but there were a LOT of children around who overtook the pool and made it an unpleasant place for those of us who like vacationing with adults. The rooms were nice. I didn't like waiting for the Ferry every time we went into Savannah proper but it was sort of fun. Make sure you take a tour while you are there. The history and architecture are worth checking out.

Not As Good As Hampton Inn

For a room that's priced at $150.00 I would expect a bit more. Other hotels that are similarly priced and even lower feature WI-FI and a free breakfast. This hotel has updated land line based internet and charges $9.95 for the same kind of breakfast that Hampton Inn provides free of charge.

This was a very good experience. At first, I wasn't sure, because I needed to change or add a name to the reservation, and the hotel refused to do so. They finally relented after an booking representative called them, though. They even allowed my mother to add an extra day for herself, which was nice of them since they were busy for the holidays. The staff was nice and the room was clean with a large TV. Recommended!

Having stayed at Hampton Inn hotels the last few times I've traveled, I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the suite, the kitchenette, bathroom, and large bedroom. For the price I paid, I was completely happy and would stay here again! My son and I got a personalized ghost tour since we were the only ones to show up and loved our guide, [...]. Since it was our shared birthday, I took my son on his first airplane ride for a tour of Savannah and the pilot let him fly the plane for a little bit! Awesome pictures and memory.

The room was very clean and spacious and I loved the color scheme of the room. The only thing I was disappointed in was the complimentary breakfast selection. There wasn't much to choose. Suggest they add eggs, bacon, and sausage to the selection.

We loved the ambiance of the area in Savannah, next door to the famous Pink House and two blocks from the river. Classical music at breakfast was great, as was the breakfast. The heating and air system in the room was super--- set the temperature and fan speed, and it was QUIET! Our room faced the parking garage where the valet service parked the car ($14/night added on the hotel bill). We did not hear noise from the garage in the middle of the night, but then again it was a Thursday night.

This is a nice hotel, but there is a parking deck next door and after the 3 am bar closings, there is a tremendous amount of noise from the revelers coming back to their cars. We heard it both nights we stayed for about 20 min. A noisy wake up call when you are already alseep. Guess the walls and windows are thin The hotel itself was nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. Nice room. Great location, close to everything, walking distance to a lot which was great. We enjoyed our time in Savannah and will certainly be back.

I was just staying one night to visit my boyfriend who I hadn't seen in a year and everything I needed was there. I wasn't a fancy hotel but I didn't need fancy when I was with him! I enjoyed it. The staff was wonderful. The location is bad. It was too far away from everything. I would have preferred to be closer to downtown.
