Staying for Ft. Benning Family Day

The staff was very helpful with any directions we needed for the area. Our room could of been a little cleaner when we arrived but housekeeping the next day was good. The beds were comfortable. I would stay here again!

La Quinta Inn Columbus Midtown was clean and the staff was very friendly about the only down side was the noise level between rooms. There were fine places to eat and shop within walking distance. It was a dollar well spent.

when we got there we were tired from a long day traveling, walking, and spending Family day with our Son.
Got to the hotel and our room was way down the hall. the room had no towels for us to bathe, so we had to call down to the desk and have someone
bring us a few towels. it had one ashtray, and there were three smokers in the room, my husbad, my daughter, and my self.. but other than that we had a great stay. Thank you!!! Sincerely , Janice Pisacrita

The Rooms were nice and clean. The hotel was well situated and pets stayed free. That's Great! However, there was a child screaming in the hall for what seemed like all night, for several nights. The breakfast was decent, but needed some meat.

With the exception of the staff, who was nice, that's the only thing I liked about this hotel. I thought it was pretty gross. The tub/shower was yellow. There were no tissues, no shampoo. Mattresses basically were springs and fabric. The drawers were broken and falling apart. I will never stay here again.

Ok so the hotel was cheap. The door that keeps the non guest out only works if there's not another way to get in 5 feet away. HBO which was suppose to come with the room but didn't come in , I call the desk and they said it was HBO's fault. And then when I went in and turn the bathroom light on at night I had uninvited guest ( cockroaches)

The clerk had no idea how to check me in since I booked with [...]. It took me 45 minutes to get checked in. She tried to charge my credit card again after I told her I had already paid with [...]. The room had an inch of space under the door and the noise was pretty loud from the traffic.

This hotel was close to food, shopping and activities. I liked how clean the room was and how quiet it was. Our room was next to the highway, but the noise was not that bad. It didn't cause me to lose any sleep. The hot breakfast included waffles, bacon, eggs, bagels, instant grits, intant oatmeal & even had little yopliat yogurts. I would stay again if in the area and recommend to a friend.

From the check-in/out staff to the breakfast staff, everyone was courteous, agreeable and accomodating. The room was comfortable and thoroughly cleaned each morning. The only issue is with the noise. Seemed like people were stomping around. Over all, I would stay here again.

I have a disability. We received a room that was dedicated to my needs. The shower was the best! The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was great. easy to find and located right off the interstate. It is close to the mall, as well as, restaurants and grocery stores. I recommend this motel and will stay there again when in the area.

Very updated, modern looking hotel. The room setup was great and very spacious. Great entertainment setup (TV, Plugins). The free breakfast was well, free. It wasn't horrible but I've had better "free" breakfasts. Nice bar area with a good selection of snacks and drinks. Hotel is a good ways off the main drag which was nice but not far enough to be an inconvenience. Would definitely pick the Hyatt over other hotels in this price range such as Hilton Garden Inn or Hampton Inn. Sort of like an Embassy Suites Lite. Great Place.

Perfect for Benning families

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were quite comfortable, as was the bedding. It's the perfect place to stay in Columbus, short drive to Benning.
Stay in one of third floor room if you're a light sleeper, as you can hear walking in the room above.
Unfortunately, the guest above us also had their radio on all night our second there which we heard.

I really enjoyed the hotel. it was quiet, friendly and CLEAN! It also had a verynice outdoor pool. The continental breakfast was fantastic. Im glad I choose this hotel.

The room was visually clean, but had an odd odor.
The flooring in the bathroom was peeling up under the sink and there was no hair dryer.
I would recommend this hotel, but suggest you check out the room before bringing all your stuff up.

Sheets and bathroom were clean but the carpet is dirty! Hallway reeks of cigarette smoke. Staff not rude but not friendly either. The front desk never even looked up when I walked in the door to the elevator. Refrigerator was noisy.
If you want to save money and just need a place to sleep then this may work for you. If you want service, comfort and a breakfast stay elsewhere.
I saved money but I wasn't happy with my stay.

Staff was wonderful, room was great! Only concern was with finding the place. I drove past it over and over until I called the hotel and had to get directions.

A lot of resturants and shopping close to hotel. Easy access to highway. Very nice new part of Columbus. Did not take children this time, but definitely would! Nice indoor pool.

For the rate we paid I was worried we would be staying in a halfway cleaned room. It was very clean, and we were happy. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. The only complaint I had was the room next door had a dog that would bark at the worst times. Other than that it was a nice stay.

A Salute to Our Troops

I was in Columbus with the Miss Columbus/Southern Rivers/Peachtree board for the USO show, A Salute to Our Troops! The hotel was convenient to the base (just down I-185). The breakfast bar was well stocked with a varity of foods. The only complaint that kept my trip from being the best possible was the third floor. The entire floor reeked of cigarette smoke even though half of the rooms were designated as non-smoking. I would highly recommend not combining smoking and non smoking rooms on the same floor. If you are a non-smoker or allergic to cigarette smoke, request the second or first floor.

I will start off with, the staff was very nice and courteous but the hotel is older and the rooms are small. The beds and linens were very clean and the room overall was very neat but we saw 2 roaches during our 2 night stay. It would have been perfect except for that one "small" problem. Hate to ding them for that because it was inexpensive and couldnt complain about anything else.

It was a place to sleep, I guess. The staff was welcoming, but they didn't go out of their way to make me feel as if they were happy that I selected their hotel.
Perhaps my biggest disappointment was that my suite looked absolutely NOTHING like the picture on the website. (I guess that I should have expected that, though, huh.)
Regardless, it was comfortable and clean, and for that I am grateful. However, I will definitely choose another location on my next trip to Columbus, GA.
