The staff was very friendly, the manager, the girls that did breakfast, the front desk. They were all so friendly which just helped the not so perfect room, perfect. Rooms need updating, especially in bathrooms. Otherwise everything was fine.

This hotel is in a good location and easy to find. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are big and clean. The room I stayed in had a seating area, microwave and mini refrigerator. Good simple breakfast to get you going in the morning. I will most certainly stay here again when I visit Columbus again.

Have stayed her several times because it is close to our daughter's house. The only problem was that the cooling system was hard to figure out and seemed to operate erratically - either too hot or too cool. Breakfast is ok - -just so-so selections. Coffee not very good.

Visiting my husband at Ft. Benning

I was very happy with the room at the hotel. It was clean, comfortable and the staff was very nice. They were very personable and made sure things were good for me. I loved the free wi-fi and how well the room was taken care of. I plan on trying to stay there again for his Graduationg from Basic Training. P.s. it has a great location close to food and shopping and only minutes from the airport and Base!

The room was clean and well stocked with towels. The breakfast bar was VERY well maintained and the lady that managed it was Fabulous! Cleaning up and restocking the whole time. The night manager was super freindly and was STILL freindly when I saw him the next morning!! I would definitely stay with y'all again!

The Rooms were nice and clean. The hotel was well situated and pets stayed free. That's Great! However, there was a child screaming in the hall for what seemed like all night, for several nights. The breakfast was decent, but needed some meat.

I called this hotel a couple times to confirm we needed conjoined rooms and they said they do have them at their location, however when we received our room keys we were not connect yet one of our rooms was to the other room next to them. Also because we reserved the hotel to visit ft. Benning base we also asked if our room came with irons and it did not. I needed the iron for my clothes first thing in the morning before we seen our soldier. Lastly, we went down to ask for more towels due to the fact that they gave us 3 when they knew we had 4 people in our room. And asking for those towels were like pulling teeth, the front desk requested that we immediately walked back down to return our used towels. Which for everyone who doesn't know we were on the 5th floor and it was midnight.

Ok so the hotel was cheap. The door that keeps the non guest out only works if there's not another way to get in 5 feet away. HBO which was suppose to come with the room but didn't come in , I call the desk and they said it was HBO's fault. And then when I went in and turn the bathroom light on at night I had uninvited guest ( cockroaches)

Stayed here a few times since my husbands training at Fort Benning. This is not a hotel you want if you're looking for something nice, but if you want cheap this is the place for you. This IS A CHEAP HOTEL. But, we needed to save money and I could bring the dog. The halkway smelled, the room was clean, old, but clean. Cigarette burns in the sheets but they were clean. Hobos slept in the lobby overnight and in one of the stairwells. The cops and county coroner were there ine morning. But the lady at the desk was nice, and the room was comfortable.

Great place to stay!

This hotel was a great launching pad for a night on the town! We had tickets to a Broadway show at the venue across the street, and it's also convenient to all the places we usually go in Uptown Columbus. It's great being able to park and walk to everything, and not worry about driving home!
The hotel staff were all very friendly, although the housekeeping staff was rather chatty right outside our door when we were trying to sleep in.
The restaurant was very good, with a good variety of offerings and a decent selection of wines. Service was good, and we were seated right away, even though it was a show night.
I have stayed at this hotel once before, but without booking in advance, and I must say that the rate I found here is excellent!

I'm used to good experiences at most Marriott's, however, I was pleasantly surprised by the character and comfort of the rooms at this Marriott. Due to the historical nature of the section in which we stayed, there were high ceilings and exposed brick and wood beams....very cool. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again if back in Columbus, Ga.

This hotel was very nice for the price. The room was very clean and comfortable. It is a Microtel so the room was small. I would recommend it for a short stay. Located right off I-85 which is only minutes from fort benning and shopping/dinning in the Columbus area. Would definitely stay there again.

A Salute to Our Troops

I was in Columbus with the Miss Columbus/Southern Rivers/Peachtree board for the USO show, A Salute to Our Troops! The hotel was convenient to the base (just down I-185). The breakfast bar was well stocked with a varity of foods. The only complaint that kept my trip from being the best possible was the third floor. The entire floor reeked of cigarette smoke even though half of the rooms were designated as non-smoking. I would highly recommend not combining smoking and non smoking rooms on the same floor. If you are a non-smoker or allergic to cigarette smoke, request the second or first floor.

Not a lot of nice hotels in Columbus. This is definitely one of the best I have stayed at in this area.

The staff was very pleasent, from the front desk to housekeeping. The room was also very nice and clean, great bathroom as well. The swimming pool was very small and there was not a hot tub : (. The breakfast was very limited on hot food. Although they had plenty of ceral, bagels, and yogert. The hotel was a good value and was in a great location. Off from the busy road with a desent view of the trees. It was only min. from I-85 and about 10-15 min from Fort Benning. The hotel was also very close to shopping and dinning. I would stay again, no problem.

I chose this hotel after choosing one across the street last time I traveled to the area. I was so displeased with the other hotel, I took a shot in the dark with this trip and I was pleasantly surprised. Extremely nice and helpful staff. Clean, comfy, QUIET, rooms. Great place to stay.

We were pleasantly surprised with the amenities and friendliness of the staff. While not the best part of town, the staff made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. Room was spacious and well equipped. Very nice exercise room and pool.

The room was not decorated with the nice pictures, etc. that I have grow accustom to in my travels. I have stayed in a few Mariott hotels, this one was not as comfortable as others. But the location was great, and I did get a good night sleep.

was very pleased with hotel. rooms were clean. staff was very friendly. pool was a good size. they even have 2 gas grills for outdoor cooking and a covered patio by the pool. Was very pleased with overall experience. We rebooked for graduation in june. Would recommend.

This is my second stay here at the Hometowne Suites. I tell you cannot please everyone, there will be people who just complain about everything. When I arrive the staff was courtesy and professional. The room had a great clean smell to it with no smoke smell of any type. The bathroom was clean and smelled great, the King size bed was clean along with all linen on the bed. I did not have any complaints or problem with Home-towne Suite and I shall be staying again.

We stayed at this hotel shortly after it opened (2008) and enjoyed the stay very much. We travel with our dog and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Came back again and was shocked by the unresponsive, robotic change of staff and general lack of concern. We prepaid for a suite, came 15min. before check-in and was told to wait until the room was ready. Came back 2hrs. later and was told people decided to extend their stay and our room was no longer available! We ran into another couple as we were leaving and the same thing happened to them. I will never stay here again.

Staybridge Suites was a comfortable, beautiful hotel with all the comforts of home, including kitchens, desks, flatscreen tvs, and even a couch. The staff was great, and the included breakfast much better than expected. Great for a short visit or a long stay.
