Good for the price. The room was clean and roomy. The bed was exceptional for the price of the room. The mattress was wonderful and the bed of full of pillows!! We had a coffee pot in the room, but no coffee. The free breakfast was nothing too fancy, but adequate. Would stay there again.

The staff was friendly and the room was clean. I did notice however that there was no cover to an electrical outlet behind my bed, and my tub after filled also drained on its own, but the fact you could drive right up to your room in a safe area was bonus. If your looking for safe and clean, this is a good hotel for a night.

Description
The best part of waking up at Howard Johnson Cartersville will be a nice cup of fresh brewed coffee in your cup and the breakfast cereals and fresh pastries from our continental breakfast. Property amenities include seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free high speed wireless internet, and the Sports Pub and Grill on site - serving lunch and dinner. All rooms feature coffee maker, iron and board, hairdryer, 27in cable tv-HBO, and work desk.
Families with pets are always welcome with a fee of 10 dollars per pet per per day. Large walking area for pets. We are 40 miles north of Atlanta with easy access off I-75, Ex. 296.
We are convenient to popular local attractions including Etowab Indian Mounds State Historic Site, Booth Western Art Museum, Ruby Falls, Red Top Mountain, Lake Altoona, Cassville Confederate Cemetary, and Barley Garden.
Prime Factory Outlets and many carpet and flooring outlets are nearby as well.

Mattress was terrible and pillows almost non-existent. Shower walls blistered/peeling. Bathroom light and fan on one switch and fan was VERY loud. Towels very small and thin. Washcloth stained. When you are there to just sleep and shower, these are very important.

we got there late in the evening and after going out to get something to eat at the convience store and bringing it back to the room there were roaches everywhere. i couldn't sleep afraid they were going to crawl on me. my husband didn't want to complain that night because he was tired. the next day i told the staff and she asked me if i was sure because they never had any complaints before, i said yes i'm sure just go look were we killed them all. i will be calling the main office to complain also. i mean this is a major chain and they can at least pay for exterminating regularly.

Our son attended Darlington school in Rome GA - West Ham United International Academy from the UK - 4 DAYS invitational camp - myself my wife and our 20 year old daughter visited Atlanta during this time - Buckhead was a 45 minute drive - the zoo an hour - CNN an hour - good location for both Rome and Atlanta
