Stay was what you'd expect from a Wingate. Good price, reasonable amenities & room. Friendly staff. Only complaint is that I didn't get my requested wake up call, but I had set an alarm too and did wake up. Room showed some wear - and the pillows were stiffer foam that I like, but then again, the price was inexpensive and I can't expect a 5 star stay at a 2 or 3 star price.

Got on the elevator, it was barely functioning, got up to room 219 and it was ATROCIOUS. The carpet looked as though animals were living in the room. I mean it was horrible. I would have rather walked on cement. Looked around the room and someone had stolen the television. This place was a mess. They put us in the only other room (suite) that would accommodate 2 people but it only had a pull out sofa and one bed. We are 50 year old women trying to sleep on a pull out couch ... UNBELIEVEABLE!

walls were thin enough to hear neighbors every move and room next door kept music up all evening and night and when complained nothing really done till i demanded another room. the first room they were going to give had holes in carpet and light out in bathroom. second room was adequate but had several lights out in bathroom too. going back to augusta in december but staying somewhere else

The walls are thin enough that your neighbors loud talking will keep you awake, not counting a crying baby. Two of the bathroom lights were burned out and the tub drained really s-l-o-w-l-y. Hotel staff were very pleasant.

We asked for a non-smoking room because our allergies are significantly affected by smoke but we were initially placed on a smoking hall without being told and our room smelled incredibly awful. Our 2 year old son became congested and developed a wet cough shortly after our arrival. The room did not have towels or soap and the shampoo appeared used, but the hotel management assured us that it was the packaging. After our second complaint about the smell, they were able to exchange our room to a much more pleasant smelling room (this occurred only after the next shift's manager arrived).

At first look hotel is old, outside needs some TLC. Room was small but had been redone. Computer desk was a nice touch with the WiFi hook up. Bathroom area needs some work and I had to stoop (I'm 5'7") to was my hair. Probably will not stay here again.

Everything was very nice at the hotel. Breakfast was really great. Be sure to close you door really hard because I went back and mine was open. Nothing was missing but they said some doors must be pulled hard to catch the lock. The stay was great for the money. This was my second stay.

We were there for 11 days and it was in the upper 90's. We really wanted to enjoy the pool and cool off but... it was shut down by the health department and it didnt look like any effort was being made to get it back in proper condition. Best i can say is that it was in walking distance of our favorite restaurants and the maid was very nice.

The Clarion Suites is easiely accessible to I-20 AND Washington Road, many resturant within a 5 miles radius.. The Masters tournment is 1 mile from the hotel. Great location, nice hotel. I especially like the fact that they offered an all you can eat buffet. The only things that I didnt like were the fact that our room was right across from the elevator. About 5A I awoke to the ding of the elevator. Also, the bathrooms were clean but old and dingy. They need an upgrade. On the other hand, the room was nice, and comfy (except for the bathroom).

We enjoyed our stay in our room. I seemed very clean and appealing. The pool area is very pretty. The ice maker broke at one end of the building. The walk to the ice makers is long and only on the first floor. Breakfast was good. The staff was very nice and professional.

Great Value but poor Internet connection & speed

The daytime/early evening front office staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and filling (fresh-made waffles, yogurt, biscuits, sausage, eggs, gravy, juice, cereal, etc.) The breakfast staff made you feel like you were at their own home--extremely hospitable. The room was nice with fridge and micro but housekeeping kept forgetting the # of towels we needed per person in room and replenishing supplies. The room was clean and tidied daily. However, Internet was excruciatingly slow and dropped frequently. Pool was nice and kept clean. Would have given them more stars except we desperately needed good Internet connection for our apt. search so that defeated the purpose of choosing this particular hotel. The surroundings of the hotel seem rundown but it is extremely safe and quiet and off the main road. We were there 4 days and 3 nights and over a weekend so got a good feel for the average experience one would have there. It is walking distance to a Bojangles and McDonalds and just down the street from a Kroger's, Rite Aid and CVS (and of course, the hospital and medical offices). It's about a mile from Broad Street which is a nice place to hang out and walk and get a decent sit-down dinner.

The entire staff at this Quality Inn is extremely friendly and helpful. They have a complimentary breakfast. Our room was clean and included a small coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave. The bed was very comfy.

I stayed at this Holiday Inn Express to attend a conference in Augusta during the week of September 26th. The staff was absolutely wonderful; the room was extremely clean and well-cared for, the hotel was quiet and the location was perfect. The only thing that I might have improved was the scrambled "eggs," but considering that there were a lot of other choices (and the warm cinnamon roll was heavenly!), this really wasn't a problem. I loved staying at this hotel and would definitely stay again.

used during our visit to the Master's. staff was very nice, anxious to help. breakfast was pleasant surprise. location was amazing for the price, BUT, be prepared, this is a $29 room, broken faucets, hanging shower curtain, dirty doorjamb, broken phone & & knowing all that i'll go back if i we draw tickets

We stayed at the Marriott for my brother's wedding. We chose it for the location which is right near the river and Broad St. where all the "action" is. It did not disappoint! It was a VERY nice suite, well laid out and very clean. They do have some construction going on right now so we didn't have a great view but that wasn't what we were there for. There is a fountain out front on 9th St. which we recognized from the engagement photos, it is very pretty, and I heard tell there was a playground near by on the river walk though we never had the time to go find it.

I have seen this hotel before but never stayed because it looked expensive. It actually turned out to be a great value at $80/night. Rooms were extremely clean and bed was fantastic. Breakfast was ordinary and staff was ok but room more than made up for it. I will be staying here goig forward when I am in Augusta.

I came into town for business. It was a one night stay. The hotel seemed very clean, and I liked that all of the rooms were non-smoking. I was impressed that my room had an almost full-size refrigerator and microwave. There were two things that could have been better. First, the television seemed to have very few channels to choose from. There were no movies on demand, although the hotel has Showtime. The other thing was that it would have been nice if it was a little less noisy. Internally, the noise level was low, but a train came by at 4:30 AM and I could hear that even while wearing earplugs...

The hotel was a decent value for the price, but improvements can and should be made. I stayed in a room with two double beds. The room safe didn't work because two of the four AA batteries were missing--probably taken by a former guest. Unfortunately, the front desk did not have any replacement batteries. They should maintain some on hand for a situation like this. On two days, housekeeping did not provide two sets of washcloths, towels or a bath mat for two occupants. Free breakfast was O.K. if you like ham and cheese omelets. They could have had plain omelets or at least plain scrambled eggs. My experience with free breakfasts a higher priced hotels such as Comfort Inn is they aren't much better. One plus was the mini-fridge, which even higher priced hotels in the area such as Comfort Inn don't have. Again, overall it was a decent value if you can put up with minor inconveniences.

Have stayed in this hotel over a 3 year period. Consistently declines every stay. Was told at checkin that the desk was "hooking us up" with a better room (garden tub). Resulted in a room with no closet, an awkward wardrobe blocking the hallway, and a tub tucked in the corner of the bedroom in a very unusable place. Best of all, the shade was shreddded so the light POURED in from the outside. No sleep that night. This is no "hook up" Im interested in. In the mornign I went ot the desk to request a new room and a partial refund. Was told I should have requested a new room the night before (we checked in after 10). Was given keys to another room. Luckily I checked it before moving rooms. Shade was worse in that room than the previous room. Holes the size of your hand a larger. Finally found one with *only small holes* the third try. Desk ended up calling hosuekeeping and asking where a decent room could be found. Avoid the 4th and 5th floosr, apparently. Not cool.

The staff and the room were great. The one complaint that I had and that was addressed immediately was that the bathroom had a horrible smell. The staff quickly sprayed the bathroom with air freshener but unfortunately did not help.We did not return to the room until late that evening and therefor did not ask to move because of the time. I was unable to take a shower the next morning due to the above mentioned.

The hotel was reasonably priced and in a good location for my travel. Nothing astounding, but the TV worked and the coffee machine made coffee, and the shower had hot water. The TV didn't have all the channels I wanted, and the wifi didn't work, but there was another wifi in the same area that worked, so I was ok there. The biggest complaint I have was that I had to wake up the morning staff to open their breakfast.

Great experience in midst of a bad day

When the air-conditioning went out of our home, we had to find a cool, clean and comfortable place to spend the night while repairs were made. We were very pleased with your hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious, well appointed furniture, lamps, etc. My wife especially loved the marble bathroom counter tops and shower. Although we only stayed one night, we definitely would return.
