The staff was very efficient in check in and check out; were knowledgeable about the area. the beds were very comfortable, the TV was easy to work. The breakfast was very ample and having coffee available all day was a very nice thing. The location was good as we could easily walk downtown. The only negative was the narrow parking spaces which made it a bit dicey when trying to back out.

Solid hotel we have stayed at twice. It's the only hotel in the area with an indoor pool and we usually visit in Feb with our child.
The rooms are clean, the hotel is nice, and the location can't be beat.
The only complaint so far is the other guests and the noise from the street(s). Being near UGA the hotel has lots of college athletic teams and other groups. During our stay kids (pre-teens) were running up and down the hall at 1:50am until I finally yelled at them to knock it off.
Overall, a solid hotel at a decent price that I would stay at again. I would make sure to get a room away from the street though.

This was a great place to stay for our visit. I plan on returning and using this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff.
The only thing I could ask for would be a better continental breakfast layout, but the room itself was very pleasant.
Thought it was fairly quiet considering it's busy location.

Great experience. Right across from The Varsity and Shane's Rib Shack. The only "complaint" (which isn't really a complaint at all) is that it was advertised as walking distance from downtown.... technically it is, but the walk would be a rough one up a hill. That's no drawback at all though. I am DEFINATELY staying there when I return next year.

Slept great and enjoyed being so close that you could walk downtown. Would definitely stay here again. Did enjoy the breakfast buffet, but hear they will soon be re-doing it to a more expensive cafe style.

Wished hotel had a pool.
Found entrance to hotel confusing - signage would help.
Shower door squealed & could use some grease.
Vending machine had only liquids & nothing within 2+ blocks @ night for snacks.
Map from concierge was helpful to exploring town as was small booklet in room.
Maids were pleasant & helpful.

The staff at the hotel is super friendly and very nice about checking out late and the hotel is within short walking distance from downtown Athens, but the hotel is average. Some of the wallpaper is peeling off the walls and the floor has some stains and even the nonsmoking rooms smell faintly of smoke, but it's a clean bed and a clean bathroom. Good hotel if you're coming to Athens to go out downtown.

Our experience here could have been great, save for 2 things. Over our 2 night stay, we had to repeatedly go to the front desk to get our room keys re-activated. Each time this was done, we could only use it once and this would have be done again. Annoying. The other was that they took my credit card for incidental charges and proceeded to charge 2 nights to it, after I had already paid for it through the website. Very annoying. When I explained this, the response was "Nope. Its been fixed". Only after calling back once home was I told when it would drop from my account. Other than that, the hotel was worth the price.

My fiancee and I stayed over a weekend while vising family and attending a conference. We found the hotel clean and comfortable, but a bit rough around the edges. The staff was very friendly and helpful; easily the best thing about this hotel. If you want a luxury stay, keep looking, but if you're looking for a safe place to get a good night's sleep, look no further. The hotel is a bit past it's prime, but was more than adequate for our needs.

You get what you pay for. This is a very affordable hotel, especially on game days. It's definitely not the 4 seasons but a good value if you're just looking for a place to sleep. I didn't notice any of the things mentioned in the negative reviews.

The hotel was very nice. The kitchenette in the room was very nice and convenient. The towels were very soft and the room was spotless. The staff was very friendly and helpful, as well. There was not a continental breakfast in the morning which was the only bad thing.

We have stayed at this hotel before. If this was our first time, we would not be returning. There was loud music until after 11:00 pm. This was probably due to the liquor store that is in the parking lot. This was not really that big a deal as it was outside and easily ignored. But when a large group came in at 2:30 am, it was not easily ignored. I understand that the hotel cannot control people, but they should do something to remind guests that there are quiet hours because others are trying to sleep.
Otherwise, our stay was as great as before. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the breakfast is much better than most continental breakfasts. This is a great value for the price you pay.

This was a great hotel to stay at while we visited with our daughter attending UGA. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We have stayed in a few other hotels in Athens and this was the best yet.

We traveled for a wedding. I had no problem booking online. I had no trouble finding the hotel or checking in to the hotel. Got it for $80 a night. It was a nice room with 2 full size beds and nonsmoking. It was a nice room. The person on duty that night was nice when we were look for a pizza place. The person on duty the next morning when we wanted towels was not so helpful. We called down stairs and got no response and had to go down to get them. The breakfast was not so great. Coffee was ok, the canned fruit was ok and the muffins were ok but it was nothing special lol no waffles or donuts or anything. We had no trouble checking out the next day. Everything was clean and nice and with no noise problems. Beds and pillows were very comfortable I wanted to take a pillow but I didnt!

clean enough - but "old", e.g. rust in bathtub, etc. Sketchy clientele (yelling outside after midnight). Nighttime checkin through a window indicating manager feels a little unsafe. No sign of bedbugs though! Location great to pull off for a quick sleep when traveling long distance. Nice enough stafff - not overly friendly but not rude. Overall, better experience than one would expect for this price in my opinion. Would recommend only if expectations as outlined above. This is not the Ritz but not a fleabag hotel either.

Had a hard time finding the road to park near the hotel. Had to make a U turn to get to the hotel entry. Chinese restaurant next to it (good for late night meals). Went to McD's for breakfast.

It's always good to return to Athens/UGA where most family members attended or now teach. Perfect on-campus location for walking tours of campus. The friendliness of the staff and guests are outstanding. Not at all like Russell Hall one family member said of the hotel. We will definitely stay here again on future visits.
