We spent 14 nights in the Alden Beach hotel and found the stay comfortable. The room had all the things you need to make your stay exactly what you need. The only thing I would say is that as these rooms have basic kitchens the American families use them and it gets busy at weekends. Otherwise a great place to stay

The Hotel room was nice it was clean. It was almost quiet (late night door closing was not to bad. The only problem I had was a slow flushing toilet. I told front desk personel and it was fixed when i returned to the room later that day.The Hotel furniture had seen better days it was over due for a new look. but everything was in good working order. I would stay again.

we rented a car and were able to check out the while area. downtown st pete has the best night life, restaurants were top quality. bars and clubs theaters museums were awesome! if no car that's ok beach right there tons of stuff within walling distance. i would start here again except for my desire to try new hotels. however, if i were to move to this area..if would be so picture perfect for many many years:)

booked travel one day before departure.Needed a get away for new years .We were impressed by the resort and all its amenities. Very well thought out, adults only and families all well accomodated. Had beautiful beach front room with gorgeous lighted palm outside window. Beautiful view after dark. Planning to return next year with extended family for post christmas holiday

We had a great time here. The staff is very pleasant and accomodating. Paddleboat Joe was great! Only downfall was that even after the resort fee there were still a lot of activities you had to pay an additional amount for. All in all a great place with plenty of restaurants nearby and lots to do.

Nice hotel but wasn't family friendly

Me and my 2 small daughters stood there for one night. We had a pool view room which was nice and spacious and also was able to see the ocean as well. The pool area was filled with adults smoking and drinking poolside. The drinking is fine but with children around the smoking should not be allowed. The elevator was down was a couple of hours so we had to walk up to out 3rd floor room which was a hassle with 2 children. Overall it was ok.

We basically just hung out at the beach. Weather was nice, and everything was generally good. But I think there were some teenagers in the room next door having a party, but they were not too wild and crazy. The hotel itself was nice, if unspectacular, about what I expected for the price. It was the first time staying here, and I might go back again.

I had an Enclove Suite. It was nice. Really nice 2 LG t.v.s. I was here for 3 days. The only problem was the really small trash cans and the maid service. There was only 2 big towels in the room and asked the maid for more and she said she would send more and never did. I went down to the front desk around midnight and told them and they brought more up. The next day the maid didn't even service the room at all. This was a problem because of the really small trash cans didn't get emptied. I have never seen such small narrow trash cans.

We were on the 2nd floor - not far from the elevators. You couldn't help but hear them among other noises. We were only staying for 1 night and heading out to a show so we didn't bother to ask for different room. Rooms themselves were nice and the location is great for downtown venues.

Room was clean and comfortable, and centrally located to the area. The only disappointment was the continental breakfast. The best I could give it would be below average, and that's being kind, but there's a waffle house next door that I would recomend first. But I will stay there again if I need a room.

This was a very important trip for my husband and I, because I went to get a Tubal Reversal at Bayfront Hospital, our house is 2.1/2 hours from the hospital, we reserved a double bed room because my sister in law was coming with us to help us after surgery, when we got to the hotel at about 9PM they didn't have abelable the room that I reserve a week ahead thru [...],so they up grade me the room to a "Suite" (suite about same size of a regular room, King bed and sofa bed, bathroom with a Jacuzzy tub and shawer), we tell the resepcion that this room wouldn't work for me after the surgery because I need a bed only for me, and I don't think that a sofa bed was going to be conftable for my husband and his sister, we stay at the suite the 1st nigth and switch in the next morning to the double bed room, I was glad that we did change room because the King matress was harder that the full matress, the rest of the hotel and Luna Restaurant was very nice, even whent we didn't get the nicer view of the hotel. The nigth after the surgery about 3AM a couple start fitting and shutting doors and the guy keep screming bad words like "f" one after another, throwing stuff and making louds noise, that was a real fight,(wasn't like they were having a great loud time), a kid in other room start criying, after one hour they keep discussing, I called resepcion and the front desk told me that they knew about it that it was in the room next to me and they will call them to let them know to calm down, after that wasn't much diferent, someone cut got hurt in that room, I don't think the hotel personal did a good job handling this situation to make everyone have a better nigth. We just want to have a placent time in a nice hotel for this special ocassion and nothing was going to ruin it.

this is my 2nd visit to in one yr. and i cant say enough about location....beach bars.....and u can walk everywhere....but the hotel itself DEF NEEDS TO BE UPDATED AND they need to put some money into it.......couch was old and dirty we had to put a blanket on it to sit on it....we tried to change room and they gave us another and when we opened the door it was a DUPLICATE of the room we had.....i dont think there is a nice room there....not that it was dirty just old and cruddy...but everything else was truly great..

The staff was attentive to all our requests. There was a need for a room change and they upgraded us without hesitation to a beach view executive suite. The $10.00 daily internet fee was an addition that was excessive, especially when most of the hotels on the beach advertised free wi-fi access.
There are plenty of activities and facilities on site at the Sirata and many others in walking distance. We may consider a limo from the airport next time and forgo the rental car. overall a great experience, we will stay with them again.

Was greeted by very friendly hotel staff and enjoyed a wonderful location to park our car for two nights and walk to the museums, have lunch and dinner without getting in the car! Always heard about St. Pete so from Naples (where I live) we headed up to enjoy the sights as well as sit by the pool in the hot afternoon!We rented free movies to watch ( was with my college age daughter on her spring break)in the evening that were provided from the hotel.We were there for St Patrick's Day which was fun to have a delicious rueben and pint at Delaney's. Met another mother/daughter couple doing the same as us in the same hotel! Great experience-- great location for the price. Better then average Hampton!!

This the second stay for me and my wife. We enjoyed the experience both times. The room had a great view of the gulf and the beautiful sunsets. The pool and a bar are located right on the beach. A sports bar is located within walking distance. There are other activities available, but we just wanted to relax. The only negative was the the on day when the hotel hosted six weddings (11/11/2011). Things got a bit hectic in the lobby.

The rooms were very nice and well kept. They have coffee in the lobby and supply you with a complementary newspaper of your choice every morning.
The service is good.
If I had one complaint it would be the quality of the food. It was a disappointment. I ordered room service which wasn't the least bit appetizing.
It did arrive very quickly.

vinoy soars where delta comes up short

My gf and I were delayed by 8 hours due to delta and we did not receive our luggage until the next day. I say this because when the hotel staff found out about this they did everything in their power to make us comfortable including complementary champagne and snacks for two. Other than that the hotel is right next to some great restraunts and bars, has a terrific pool, and a beautiful lobby. Thank you vinoy people for salvaging my weekend!

The hotel was very unruly, (people outside drinking and disturbing us after hours); in addition to that, the room had a very bad odor which I indicated to the desk clerk but he indicated to me that he did not have any other accommodations. I was in St Petersburg on business (meeting at 11am) but actually checked out @ 6am only to go to another hotel to shower and get ready for my meeting. Days Inn has afforded us very pleasant and satisfying experiences in the past; thus in general terms and in defense to DAYS INN, I am merely rating my experience in this particular hotel.

Pool was being worked on. Power outlets for hair dryer and coffee maker didn't work. Shower drained very slowly. Lighting was grossly underrated for the room - very dark and dull.
On the other hand, parking was good, the TV worked, and the WI-FI Internet was quick.

The room was very nice but very small. It was just my wife and myself so it wasn't a problem but anymore and it would be too crowded. The room was very clean and had a great view out the sliding glass door.

We checked into the room thinking it was probably below average since the price was so cheap. What a pleasant surprise when we found out that the room was a decent size, it had a kitchenette, and was really clean. Overall I wouldn't say it has the same quality as a 5 star hotel, but if you're looking for a cheap economy hotel that will give you a clean place to stay for the right price - this is it.

The friendly staff greeted us with a smile and was very helpful in suggesting local business and family owned restaurants. The room was fresh and clean with all the amenities of a studio apartment. Appliances were new and clean. Pool was perfect and beach access could not be any better. Great things to do on property and close enough to other local activities. I will be staying there again soon.

Efficient, courteous and kind staff all the time, nice social hour with plenty of beer from the keg, red and withe wine as well. Very good internet speed, we expected only a room with a bathroom an two queen beds and a TV, with these we would have been more than satisfied, but instead we got a one bedroom suit/apartment with living-room/dinning area 2 flat panel TVs, 18-19 cubic feet fridge with freezer and a small kitchen with all the gadgets necessary to cook anything, stove and microwave.
A walk away from small plaza with a Publix Grocery store, CVS, segway rentals, dolphin specialty sail tours, etc. Beautiful beach front, very quiet. No issues at all we will return next time in Tampa

A great place to stay when you catch a Rays game.

We paid $99 total for our room.
The hotel is historic, that's one reason we chose it. We didn't want to stay in an unremarkable chain.
It has a lot of class. Things we liked about it were:
It is only a block away from the free baseball game trolly. There is a restaurant and bar operated by the same company in the same building. Parking was only a corner away.
The room had hardwood floors.
The room was clean (no bedbugs or dust bunnies, no stains anywhere in the bathroom and the sheets were nice and clean and unstained), mostly quiet (we could hear people showering from someplace we guess was the room above us). The amenities mentioned (coffee maker, refrigerator, bathrobe-but only one) were there and in good working order.
We got a room on the 2nd floor with a view of the street. Meh.
What we didn't really like: The bed was a springless mattress set on a hard wooden platform. So it was very low to the floor and after a night of sleeping on it, we were a little sore. Only one bathrobe for a double occupancy. The shower was tiny, as was the bathroom.
On the 2nd floor, the carpet was rather old looking, like it could really use to be steam cleaned.
In all, I'd stay there again, but I'd inquire about a better bed.

Great location for our stay in Florida

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
Location was perfect for us, close to everything! The only thing amiss was the water pressure in the shower :(
Other than that, everything was great! We would stay there again. Actually, this is the second time we've stayed there.

I had a very solid experience here. It's close to lots of restaurants and was convenient to where I needed to be in St. Pete. I'd stay here again in the future.

Upon arriving, desk clerk was friendly enough, but when I got to my room, neither the A/C nor the phone worked. I was assigned another room. Found hairs in the bed, and the coffer maker had not been cleaned. The "breakfast" left much to be desired, and it would have more appropriately been described as a "light" breakfast. A/C kept only half the room cool, the lower half and could not keep a steady temperature at night. So, the room vacillated between very warm and very cool. I would not use this hotel again.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were quite good most morning. I found the room comfortable and the bed and bedding excellent. The TV is outdated but worked fairly good. Pool is small but serves the purpose for a dip.

A friend and I attended a wedding in the area during spring break and every place with decent rates was booked. The only place was the gay-themed Flamingo. Aside from the pamphlets and condom jar at the front desk, it seemed like a regular hotel. The bed was comfortable and though there was audible music in the bars below the room, I wasn't bothered and slept well. Its not luxurious but there was also wi fi and cable.

The bars were great, met some great people, made some friends. Really enjoyed the entertainment too! The room however,,, not so good. I would give it a 2 at best! The carpet was filthy!!! The bathroom was [*]. The toilet was clean but the shower, I was tempted to go buy the stuff and clean it myself.The towels were grey and warn out as well. I would go back for the bars and the entertainment , but Im not likely to stay there again unless there are some improvements in the rooms.

Spent one night while in St Pete for pleasure. Conveniently located to most of the area;little but fast food surrounds the immediate vicinity. Staff was quick and helpful, breakfast was fresh and pool area was clean. Room itself was clean and in good condition although the furniture was older. We had a peaceful night and enjoyed out stay.
