Wonderful beach stay

The location is simply perfect. The hotel is located on the beach and any room is just 1 min from the beach (unless you get a beach view room, of course). The picture on their site seems to indicate quite a walk and this is not so. The beach itself was beautiful and isolated from the usual crowd. The room had a wonderful odor. It was very clean with enough room for a couple to relax and be comfortable. The parking lot is on each level and is free. There is no free breakfast but the buffet was quite good. The swimming pool is heated and is for everyone (3ft - 8ft). They provide lounge chairs to use on the beach for free. Staff is professional and relaxed. The best part is the accessibility to the downtown neighborhood which is right off a novel. Overall, great stay and amazing value.

we frequently travel to sarasota because we love the city and the beaches. this hotel was really nice for a weekend getaway, they have a pool and an outdoor bar, a nice restaurant if you don't want to leave the grounds, and the beach is beautiful. it is in the southern part of lido key, so it is quiet. they have complimentary beach chairs and towels, however, you have to pay for an umbrella, so bring your own. the room was clean and had some new paint and carpet. the beds were firm. overall the place was comfortable and a good deal as the rates are pretty low compared with other hotels in the same area.

Awesome weekend in Sarasota!

Went to Sarasota for a wedding on Longboat Key. All the rooms on the key were too expensive so we found an inexpensive alternative with La Quinta. It was about a half hour drive to the wedding but I was happy to be at La Quinta since it was close to alot more fun things to do. Whenever I make my way back down to Sarasota, I will definitely be staying there!

Close to airport and downtown Sarasota; you can walk to Subway and Chinese carry-out. Breakfast every morning, including waffles, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt. Convenient to all the tourist must-dos, but most things in this town are, since it is very accessible. We stayed 7 nights , and the housekeeping was some days great, other days, not very. We had to ask for shampoo at front desk twice, and towels once, but otherwise, a very good value. Nice pool. They can't keep enough bottled water stocked in the vending machines for beach-bound travellers; this was sold out the whole week. Grocery store (Publix) was close, so we stocked up there and put in refrig in room.

The room was ready on time, the staff was very freindly and helpful. We had a very good time by the pool and enjoyed the water fall and the Hurricane Hut. The food was excellent and the servers were very professional.
The hotel is well situated for easy access to all of the areas main attractions.
All and all, we had a great time.

The hotel looks brand new and the staff was very inviting. The rooms were very clean and good size. The air conditioner worked perfectly. Good towels and counter space in the bathroom. They also offers underground parking for those rainy days. We will definitley stay here again!

Hotel Indigo room was very comfortable with an overall "clean and simple" look and feel. It was complete with a soothing CD, comfortable bed, and excellent customer service. It was raining when we wanted to explore downtown Sarasota (easy walk), and front desk staff member immediately offered us a ride, if we wished. She also gave us two rain ponchos. We will definitely stay at Hotel Indigo on any repeat trip.

This hotel is a great price for being in walking distance to downtown Sarasota but needs some serious attention. It was marketed online as being pet friendly but was not. The rooms were non-smoking but the hallways smelled like a bar. The room must have been painted directly prior to our arrival because the room stank of paint, hope the were not covering something unpleasant up. The bed linen was like sand paper but it was clean, the blanket had cigarette burns all over it. The bathroom terry was stained, was concerned about contracting herpies or something worse from the bathroom so we chose not shower that morning. Staff was friendly, no complaints there. Did not venture to the pool because we were only there overnight. Would not stay here again unless I were offered a free room. I would rather pay another 10$ and stay at La Quinta up the road from here.

Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean, new, and modern...no issues. Swimming pool was a little smaller than we thought. Kids loved seeing planes come and go...but hotel was very quiet for being next to the airport. Convenient drive to Wringling, downtown, St. Armonds, and beaches. Good weekend get away for family.

The hotel is one of the best in Sarasota and in past visits has always been a wonderful experience. We visited the Beach Club and also spent time at St. Armand's. The restaurants in the area are easy to get to and always good meals. I was surprised at the difference this time in the noise level at the hotel. The outside bar was so loud it was hard to hear anyone at our table even though the place was not filled up to capacity. The floor we stayed on had yelling and partying well into the morning hours (3 am) and the pool was filled with teenagers who took over the place during the day and into the evening hours. It was not the typical sophisticated environment I had expected and hoped to experience.

The staff was very gracious and welcoming. Beautiful views of the bay. Although not located on the beach, a van to the R-C beach club departed on the hour and returned on the half-hour (The trip takes about five minutes). It was easy, clean and comfortable.

I stay at this hotel when in Sarasota to visit my daughter who is a student at New College of Florida. If you are moving a kid in or out or visiting and want to be very close to campus in a comfortable hotel, this is a great choice.

The property was well kept and front desk was helpful. The description on Orbiz led me to believe it was a newer hotel. It said, new in 2009 executive suites. Did not like the outside doors. At 2:00 in the morning one night, some guys decided to talk loud right near our door.

The location was ideal for me. The hotel itself was lacking in some minor areas: no grab bar/s in shower, musty odor in room. But clean and comfortable and loved the continental breakfast and coffee machine.

Sarasota is a nice town. My bf and I went just for a weekend and just wanted an affordable place to sleep. The hotel was ok, had ac problems and had to switch rooms, the second room was a whole lot better. Staff was nice. Ice machines gave problems and need to be replaced. The pool was large for the size of the hotel. Location was ok, breakfast was good. I liked how the breakfast was in a quaint family owned diner. The staff in the diner were very nice and friendly.

Friendly desk staff - helpful with area restaurants and to-do's. Breakfast was plentiful and crowd friendly! The shower fan and hairdryer didn't work - otherwise comfortable bed and clean accomodations.

I was traveling alone on a Spring Training vacation. The motel was fine for my needs which were a place to stay, A wide selection of TV stations in the evening, and a decent continental breakfast in the morning. It is a basic motel with few frills but an excellent value for the price. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and courteous.

This Hilton was very nicely located and set back from the Tamiami Trail. Great tropical appearance on the grounds. Inside the rooms and public areas were all kept extremely clean. Very friendly staff, and a wonderful hot breakfast right in the lobby. We will definitely stay here again.

Traditional Holiday Inn Experience. Dated, clean, wonderful staff, great location, reasonable rates, and will return again. Decent food, nice bar, nice pool, and 40 feet from the Gulf Of Mexico. What's not to like. Oh, I almost forgot. St. Armands Circle 2 minutes walk. Great restuarants, shops, and people watching.

Great Location is you are visiting your college student, with New College of Florida, U of South Florida campus, Ringling School of Art and several other colleges in the immediate vicinity.
With the immediate proximity to the Brandenton airport, you could get by without a car.(if your college kid has one.)

The first thing my children said, when we drove into the driveway to the SpringHill Suites in Sarasota FL was "what is that?". On the left side were all these trucks parked and our Hotel was just on the right side... But, the lady at the front desk let us forget our first impression. She was very nice and friendly and even asked which floor we would like our suite! The suite had two double beds and one sofa bed - which, when opened, would not let you any space to walk to the little kitchen area... Our room and bathroom were clean and when we asked for more towels - since we were two adults and three children - again, the front desk lady was very nice and gave us two more sets of towels. The free breakfast was good and I must say very generous!! From Waffle, Oatmeal, Cereal, Yoghourt, Scrambled eggs, Meat, Toast, Bagels, Muffins, Cookies, Fruit, Fruit juices etc. Very diversified and filling!! Check out was easy and again the front desk lady was wonderful: when I asked her, if she has the book of "Sarasota Magazine" that is in the room and how much it costs, she said, let me have a look, I think I have some in the back and she came back with one and gave it to me for free :-) Very nice! And very good "marketing" because, that is something that you don't forget so fast, since every time I will look or show the book to friends, it will remind me of the nice front desk lady at the SringHill Suites in Sarasota FL!!!

Spent four nights at this hotel. Overall, I am quite satisfied with this hotel's services The breakfast meets my expectations. I enjoyed every morning a whole-grain oatmeal. The staff takes good care of the customers. The slow internet speed, slower than a dial-up internet connection, makes me to give them a four-star review.

Island House Beach Resort is located on the widest part of Crescent Beach. This beautifully maintained complex has 75 units, two beach cabanas, beach chairs, and a scenic beach front courtyard with table, chairs, and shuffleboard court. Vs. a "resort" I was at 2 weekends ago, for less cost and an incredibly nice staff, this was great. Good space, ease of find, people do still smoke, so hotels that don't allow it never get a 2nd glance from me. There was a rip in the carpet and stains here and there, but really, I smoke in my own home, and know how to keep the place from smelling like smoke. Days Inn should try fabreeze or something.
