Location was great. Pool area was wonderful. The only place to get wi-fi was in the lobby which made it hard to do work. The room was okay, the carpet was dirty, the walls needed to be painted, and it could have had some more decor. Over all for as big as the resort was they were missing the small details.

They spent all the money on the pretty pool, and skimped on the details. Too few elevators and some not operating. We often waited 10 mins for an elevator in a hot elevator waiting area, only to enter an unventilated/unAC'd, very crowded elevator. Parking deck is extremely tight and short on "not reserved" spaces. Luggage carts are VERY limited at prime times - plan ahead. Great beach, decent sized rooms. Our room had an AC water leak down the wall with peeling paint, missing sheets on a "made" bed and moldy shower curtain. When we mentioned these issues to the front desk on two separate occasions, they expressed ZERO concern. The pool and beach are the best parts and you can find comparable at better condos.

Driving through Panama City Beach to Tampa and stopped for the night. Older place with typical beach look, but clean and a great view of the beach and gulf. What made it special was the staff. Very nice and accommodating. Look forward to a return visit.

It was a cute little place with it's own charm. The pool and the hot tub area were right on the beach. The area was small but nice quiet and private. The rooms were older but nice and clean. Great location! Great place to relax

I was told that the hotel had a private section to go to thier beach, which was not true. The room were OKAY. Hotel charged me $150 IN FEES! [...] The only thing that kind of made up for it, was the pool. Never again will I stay there. Placement was horrible and fees were out the roof!

Our stay was great!!! Only complaint we had was the pools were very cold, but the hot tub made up for it!!! The staff was helpful, but we really didn't need anything! The beach was a walk across the street, but it didn't take long at all to get there! It was great fun and we will be back next year!!!!

I enjoyed my stay at the majestic, but the room was not as described online. There was no washer and dryer in my unit as promised. The hotel was okay but the customer service was aweful. As soon as we got into the room I took my shoes off and as I walked accross the room I discovered there was sand all over the tile floor. The cleanliness of the room was very poor. The beach was great, it could have been a lot cleaner, there was a lot of trash on the beach.
There was a fabulous shopping area that I enjoyed a lot. The elevator worked but the button going to the 10th floor (which is where my room was) would not work, so we had to go to the 11th floor the take the stairs to the 10th floor. Very frustrating when you have a 3 year old.

While the hotel is by no means an upscale hotel, it certainly meets the needs of a family on a budget looking for a clean, well maintained hotel. The breakfast was much better than we expected. There were 3 different fresh fruits offered, English muffins, toast, plenty of cereal, 2 different juices and coffee. The pool was beautiful and if the weather had been warmer we would have took advantage of it. I would recommend this hotel. The staff was very pleasant and professional. They allowed us to check in early and were very nice. The parking was also convenient and close to the hotel making taking luggage in easy. We plan to return.

The Sunbird condos were a great location, especially for watching Ironman Florida. It was within walking distance of the race, gas station, Waffle House, and shops.
The view of the ocean was nice and it was easy access to walk out onto the beach.
The toilet wouldn't fully flush, so we couldn't do all of our business in our unit. The toaster didn't work, so we had toast bagels on the stovetop.
It was nice to have an oven, coffee maker, dishes, and dishwasher. The shower worked great. The condo was well stocked with sheets, blankets and pillows.
I would stay at Sunbird again, but knowing not to expect the best. The unit served its purpose.

Although there was not nearly enough parking, the outside of the hotel was beautiful and in a great location. The lobby was very clean, and the woman at the front desk was very helpful. We stayed in a double suite. The bedroom part was very nice, comfortable beds, tv, and plenty of room for our things. The bathroom was also nice, but the kitched, not so much. The fridge had dents all over it and looked very trashy. It wasn't very clean either. The living room part was clean and very nice, as was the balcony. Overall it was a very nice hotel.

We were a late check in but every thing we needed was in the room. It was very clean and the beds were ok but not like home but pretty comfortable.. The location is quite and since we were on the way to Destin we were pleased with the location.

The location is perfect, just walk across the street to the beach. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. View from the 12th floor (beach view) was gorgeous. The only thing the resort is lacking is a bar/restaurant, then the amenities would be 4.5/5 stars. There's a restaurant across the street (Sharky's) that you can eat at. Also stayed here in October 2008 and will consider staying here again.

We came down for vacation and it rained just about the whole time we were there, but that's the weather for ya. We had a good time in spite of the weather. The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful, although it did take us a while to check in, even though it says on line check-in time is 1:00PM. We checked in about 2:30PM. The elevator at the front entrance for access to the rooms was out and so we walked the stairs to the room. No big problem as we were on the 2nd floor. All in all, price vs quality averaged out. Great pool and sauna!

It was a pleasant trip. The location was great and the room was okay. I did not likepaying for maid services of $65/night and being told I had to take the trash out myself. The refridgerator was loud and kept me up most of the night. The extra fees were not worth the stay.

Great location and great value. The pool was descent and right next to the inland lagoon but the trash can at the pool was never emptied our whole stay (Three days). Beach access was directly across Thomas drive and not to hard to find but it was something you had to figure out on your own since it wasn't in the handout they gave you upon arrival. The unit was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was acceptably equiped for meal preparation. Although the mattress in our bedroom was slap wore out and is in definite need of replacement. The staff was pretty much ambivalent and non existent are whole stay but then again we didn't need them for anything anyways. Super Walmart close by as well.
Would probably stay again if the price was right.

Great location and beautiful facility located directly on the beach. The complex was great and so were the staff. However, there were problems in our particular unit, including dead light bulbs; plumbing problems in the master bath, and, dirty carpet.

We arrived after hours and the check-in was easy. Just park in front of west and call # they will tell you the rest. Very secure building. Be aware of the parking. Their is VERY LIMITED parking in front of buildings. Extra parking is located across street. Could have used a few more towels as we washed everyday, but that was not a problem. Location was excellent very close to the cheerleading competition. Would stay again!!! Our mircowave did not work, which was a minor inconvience.

Hotel has upgraded, modern looking rooms. They are clean upon entrance. We stayed for four nights and ended up having to ask for our towels to be removed from our room as well as ask for fresh towels. Our room was only cleaned 1 time in the 4 days we were there without asking. Aside from that, everything was fine. Hotel is not on the beach but it is in a very good location and about a 5 minute drive to the beach. It has fast access to highways and restaurants as well as shopping and Pier Park. I would recommend it to family or friends.

My family and I were pleased with our three day stay at this location as soon as we walked into the entrance with its warm wood home-like decor and for the holidays the wonderful scent of spices and accents. We were a group of four adult size guest so I cannot say we had room to spare, but we also,were not tripping over one another. The beds were comfortable. We also really enjoyed the wonderful full breakfast offered free of charge. Overall, I would say a great value for that area.

Hotel was a little lacking in comfort and the furnishings were of poor quality. The staff was very helpful, however, and exceeded my expectations both at check in and check out.

The only issue I had with our stay had nothing to do with the hotel itself. The location is not the best. You have to turn down a one way street to get into the hotel. SO when you come out, you have to sorta go out of the way to get back on the main road. The hotel itself was great. Friendly staff and clean. My family and I enjoyed our stay....

When we checked in to the condo we were told that we would have to pay resort fees, cleaning fees etc etc which costs an additional $94.00. Other than that the room was nice, views were great and the pool was ok. My wife said the towels were terrible and very cheap! We were not very impressed with Panama City but the beach was nice with great sand. Pineapple Willies and Hammerheads were two good restaurants.

Great stay in Panama City Beach!!

Just returned from the La Quinta PCB and had a great vacation. We picked this hotel because it was pet friendly and we were traveling with a kitten. The room was great and the staff very friendly. We arrived at 11:30 AM and were allowed to check in! The hotel is only about a mile or so from the beach so it was perfect for us. Overall a good stay for the $$$ in PCB if you don't have to be right on the beach.

Not what it's all cracked up to be !

Well it would have been nice to check in at the time promised by Orbitz. It was not the same as the Hoyetls policy we had to wait almost 2 hrs for our room. The front desk manager of all people couldve cared less if we were there or not, Not very welcoming.This is not the first time weve stayed here, but we thought wed give it another shot. i wont be visting this resort again. Word to the wise dont ever stay or let them put you an the floor room. We stayed in the golf villas which are 2 floors and you could've slept late if you tried. Here's our luck for ya they're was a family of 4 and inlaws in the room above us and every morning they woke up at 6 am and constantly walked back and forth and you could hear that on the bottom .The creaking of the ceiling and the foot sounds it was like some one couldnt be still 5 minutes. We were only there for 2 nights and both mornings and late nights were hell.constant floor noise. If i had it to do it all over i wouldve asked to switch rooms.

Room was very nice with 2 beds as well as a sofa bed. There was a small amount of mold on the shower curtian but otherwise room was clean and well maintained. Pool was nice and clean and beach access was convenient. Check in was a bit difficult as the management for the condo is not on site and is handled by several different offices. During stay there is no daily cleaning - towels are exchanged late in the day but you are responsible for taking out trash other general maintenance. Also, you are provided 1 garbage bag and roll of toilet paper - any additional needs must be purchased.

Location was great if you like Club LaVela and Spinnaker. We were right next to Moondrifter which is next door to those clubs. A quick drive to Pineapple Willy's and Walmart. Nothing fancy, but it was clean. Our refrigerator was overheated, but we turned it down to medium and it started working eventually, and the A/C ran loudly. No need for an alarm clock! But, overall, I'd stay there again. The staff was friendly, and we had a great time!

it served it's purpose, definitely. Nothing extraordinary. It's right on the beach but shouldn't be 150 a night. Overall good experience
