The staff makes Wyndam Grand Orlando a pleasure to stay!

As this hotel just opened in Oct 2011, some issues are to be expected. However, the staff at this hotel are wonderful (with the EXCEPTION of their house keeping staff which were absolutely horrible - our room was half cleaned on one day and not cleaned at all on another day! They sited the reason for not cleaning was because they ran out of clean sheets!!!). In particular we like to note Lisa at front desk made our check in fast, efficient and was very helpful in answering all our queries. Tim, the manager of in room dining went out of his way to provide extra assistance to us for our baby bottle sanitizing needs. All the concierge at the hotel was extremely helpful in assisting with directions, tickets, restaurant recommendations, and planning of our stay in Orlando. The location of the hotel was also very convenient to all Disney World parks and attractions.

We were in Orlando to attend a conference, so not interested in Disney. The Caribe Royal is very convenient, close to major arteries, Disneyworld, etc. Clearly the staff has undergone extensive customer service training as every single person was warm, responsive, helpful. The pool rocks! Our only disappointment were the restaurants. We did not dine in the Venetian, the expensie upscale venue, but the Tropicale was pedestrian at best. Service was great, food mediocre. We are planning to take our grandchildren to Caribe Royale next November to do Disney - loved it!

We arrived before check in time and were able to check in early with no problem. The room was very nice and spacious. The hotel is located very close to Disney and the shuttle was convenient, although time consuming. But well worth it not to pay the ridiculous parking fees. My only complaint would be that the shuttle is for Disney only. Would have been nice if it went to the other major attractions that are close by as well. We only ate at the hotel twice, as the prices are extremely high even in the cafe. The food is very good though. The only other negative thing I could say is about the WIFI daily fee. It is ridiculous. I have an Iphone so I was not about to pay for it, however this was very disappointing for my teenager. Overall this hotel is extremely nice and I would definitely stay there again.

Overall the experience was good. The staff at the front desk could have been more professional and helpful. I had many mix ups with my 2 reservations and it took someone from the timeshare department to sort it out because they were hoping for a sale.

We loved the Blue Heron Beach Resort..close to all the parks. We actually watched the fireworks from our balcony. Plenty of room in the 2 bedroom suite for a family of 6 to live comfortably for a week. Condo was clean and we had everything we needed.
Staff was helpful in guiding us around Orlando. My family and I would absolutly stay here again. 2 thumbs up!!

The place was very nice,clean and roomy,the only real complaints would be the small 1980's era tube televisions plus no batteries in the remotes,and older hard mattresses other than that we very much enjoyed our short stay.
update the televisions to flat screens(preferably a larger screen in the living room)and get pillowtop mattresses and you have a perfect situation

We travel to Disney every December. We found it online and have never looked back. It is so close to the park and no worries about checking in and out. Its only two minutes from that Walt Disney World enterence to Downtown Disney. Same amount of time to I 4.

Accomodations overall were typical Radisson, which we've always found to be pretty good. No complaints with this one. Close proximity to theme parks was very convenient. (We drove, so had no experience with the hotel shuttle.) Numerous decent restaurants within easy walking distance, in the mall next to the hotel. No reason not to stay there again.

Although the hotel was in the middle of construction there was still a great experience available. The poolside experience with bar, food and fire was great. There is free shuttles to disney parks which was perfect for me. Clean and comfortable. Very attentive.

Our Florida Experience

We arrived at the Sheraton Safari Hotel when it was named, "Sher on" because 2 letters in the lighted sign were not working. That should have been a clue as to what would come next. Our room looked fine and we settled in. As I walked barefoot to the bed, I found the carpet to be wet. Closer to the air conditioner it got really soggy. We pulled the bed skirts up to keep them from getting wet during the night and told the front desk about the situation 1st thing in the morning. Actually, morning came a little sooner than we expected, when the hydraulic lift platform rose outside our window with the beep-beep-beep alarm sound. The 2 missing letters were being repaired bright and early. We were given a different room with a dry carpet. After re-locating, we went to the lobby for a doughnut and coffee (neither of which were complimentary). They do serve a large buffet breakfast ($11.95pp), but we're light eaters and had no refrigerator in our room for left-overs, so didn't attempt that. The noise in the lobby was horrendous! The hotel is undergoing extensive rennovation and all the windows in one wing were being smashed to remove them. We took our doughnuts and returned to our room. Before we left to explore Universal Studios Adventure Island, there was an emergency evacuation of the entire hotel because a construction worker accidentally nicked a wire or something. The fire truck arrived and certified that everything was OK and we returned to our room. While the desk staff was accomodating and sympathetic about any inconvenience to us, it appears that these occurances are typical and part of their ordinary day. I had looked forward to splashing in the pool, but was told by another guest that the heaters had been turned off and the water was so chilly she couldn't stay in long. Oh, well... Our trip to the amusement park was great. The sun was out and we had a great day. We became accustomed to the construction noise in the hotel and learned to leave early and stay out all day. That's not hard to do in the Orlando area! there was a sign in the lobby that said we would receive some kind of "free nights" certificate good in 2012 because of the construction occuring during our stay. When we check out, there was no paperwork because our stay was pre-paid as part of a package. Consequently there was no certificate. It doesn't really matter, because I doubt we will be going back to Florida again next year. We live in Washington State and that's a long trip.
I had expected better of a Sheraton brand name hotel. It was an OK experience, but I wouldn't recommend this as a vacation spot to relax in. It's just a sleeping place.

This hotel is beautiful with so much to do! The pool areas are very clean and you can find quiet areas to lay out if you are away without kids!
It was a little disappointing to have to pay $13 a day for parking.

My husband and I and our adult son travelled to Florida for a family wedding and to visit disney world. We had a 1 bedroom suite which was perfect for us. The beds were comfortable, the room always clean and the free breakfast was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. My son tried to sleep on the sofa bed one night and it was in pretty bad condition but since we had 2 beds in the bedroom it was not a big problem. It was located very close to Disney and there was shopping nearby. We had a rental car but their was a free shuttle to the Disney parks. Overall a good experience.

Olimme perheen kanssa reilun viikon Orlandossa Hawthorn Suites hotellissa, hintaan/laatuun nähden se oli edullinen, ainakin kun otimme samassa paketissa lennot. Hotelli on aikas lähellä paikallista highway 4:sta, mutta siitä ei pidä pelästyä, päinvastoin siitä on nopea singahtaa eripuolille kaupunkia, jossakin kirjoituksissa epäiltiin sen läheisyyden 4 tielle olevan meluhaitta, mutta eipä sieltä juurikaan kantautunut meteliä. Pihan uima-allas on sopivasti suojassa ko tieltä, vaikka täytyy sanoa, että hotelliin nähden allas on aikas pieni. Huoneet muihin hotelleihin verrattuna ovat riittävästi varusteltuja, vaikkakin aamupala kuuluu hintaan, saattaa tehdä mieli kokata itse jotain muuta, sillä kolmen-neljän aamun jälkeen itse kaipasin jotain muuta aamupalalle. Aamupala on ns continental sisältäen kahvia, teetä, mehuja, maitoa, paahtoleipää, kananmunaa (siis usalaisittain munakokkelia) pekonia tai makkaraa ja muutaman kerran oli pannukakkuja niin ja tietysti puuroa, hedelmiä. Jotenkin vain, ainakin itsellä, alkoi tuntua tuo aamupala saman toistolta aamusta toiseen, no, se on makuasia. Silloin voisi väsätä huoneen keittiössä jotain oman maun mukaista. Henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällistä, kuten kuuluukin olla. Hotelli mainostaa läheisyyttään Disneyhyn, niinpä, mutta kyllä tuon 1 1/2 mailin matkan tekoon silti tärveltyy aikaa, ainakin jos käyttää hotellin tarjoamaa ilmaista bussikuljetusta. Kokeilimme sitä kerran ja totesimme olevan ihan ok, ainoa miinus siinä on, että paluukyyti hotelliin pitää ilmoittaa etukäteen. Silloin joutuu hieman vahtimaan kelloa ja tuskaileen, että missä vielä ehtisi käydä ettei myöhästy paluukyydistä, bussi ei tosiaankaan jää odottamaan jos et ole ajoissa paikalla. Siispä muina päivinä menimme vuokra-autolla koska se oli hankittu jo lentokentältä, sai mennä ja tulla oman aikataulun mukaan. Ja vaikka Disney on kartaltakin katsoen tosi lähellä, tulee sinne matkaa n 10-15 mailia johtuen sen tajuttoman isosta alueesta.
Hotellissa oli happy hour ma/ ti/ ke/ to, silloin parin-kolmen tunnin aikana hotelli tarjosi muutaman lasin olutta/viiniä ja välipalaa, mehua ja limsaa sai vetää mahan täyteen. Rauhallinen sijainti puistomaisessa ympäristössä oli plussaa.
Itse jäin vielä viikoksi kun muu perhe lähti suomeen, silloin olin muissa hotelleissa ja voin sanoa, että jos matkaa yksin/ kaksin, niin silloin kyllä suosittelen muita vaihtoehtoja kuin Hawthorn, ainakin hinnan puolesta. Hawthornissa kun kaikki huoneet ovat sviittejä, siis turhankin isoja, mutta sopivia niistä pitäville tai lapsiperheille.

Very good overall. The only problem is that it has a slow speed WiFi, but its complimentary so no complains. The room was very clean always, staff greeted and were very courteous. Excellent location. Breakfast was included and was Ok. Not a 5 star breakfast or brunch but neither a continental breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

From the front desk personnel to the housekeepers, we were greeted with friendliness and professionalism. We had a two bedroom villa which was spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and felt very private. The attention to detail was evident throughout. We played golf on property which was great. The courses were in great shape, the staff friendly and very accommodating. We used the workout facilities at the Hyatt which were available 24/7. The Hyatt property is also beautiful with art and beautiful decor throughout. The location of the Grand Cypress Villas is perfect, conveniently located to all of the theme parks and restaurants. WARNING ... Traffic in Orlando is bad, which was the only negative experience during our entire vacation.

Beautiful resort with heated pools. Proximity to outlets, grocery and theme parks is very convenient. Although it is fairly new, many things didn't work in the room(light and fan in master bathroom, drawers to dressers didn't stay closed, screw came out of oven door handle,no baking sheet, and one oven mitt). We had to call the front desk several times during our 2 week stay because the room had not been cleaned by 5:30pm, we ate supper in our condo and this was an inconvenience. Once the front desk was contacted they did not hesitate to rectify the situation. I would definitely recommend this resort to family and friends.

Website does not do justice to the great amenties and housekeeping staff. A little far from Disney and Universal, but we had enough gasoline regardless. We wished one of the seven pools at the resort was an indoor pool, especially during the thunderstorms we worked through during the week we stayed in Orlando. Maybe "free" wireless would guarantee us to go back to this resort. The Orbitz prices were excellent, so we'll do business again! Thank you!

I only stayed two days at the tail end of my vacation and had a great stay. The room was extremely comfortable, double vanity sinks, heady duvet, balcony.
I very much enjoyed the heated outdoor pool and workout room. I played the wonderful round of golf on the famous Bay Hill course in brilliant sunshine.
I asked if the hotel reception can get my souvenire pin flag signed by Arnie, and they said "no problem". The staff are great, and went out of their way to help me make dinner plans and such.
Great value for the rate I recieved and I would definetly recommend it to others.

We came to see The Holy Land Experience, I was pleasantly surprised at the accomadations, I was expecting an old place but it has been updated and was very comfortable and in a great location, close enough to the area sites yet far enough away from all the commotion, you can enjoy sitting around relaxing or see the area sites. Great family and couples retreat for a great price.

This was a great place to stay while at the theme parks. Older unit but clean, very roomy, lovely quiet property and close to everything....for a hotel room price! They even changed our linens and towels daily and all the equipment worked....even the remotes. If you don't need the fanciest, most modern resort for your stay this is a great place to stay with kids!

BVS is great! I have top-tier status with a major hotel chain for all work-related travel, but when I am paying we cannot beat the value for the price. Room was small but beds and couch were comfortable, pool was adequate, breakfast was outstanding.

Rooms were clean and always made up. The complimentary breakfast is very continental and basic. Small fridge in room is large enough for extras from breakfast or for small groceries (milk, dairy and sodas). Overall service was very friendly and accomodating.
Hotel is on Vineland, just East of I4 and 535. It is a very short drive to all main parks and shopping.

Goed, schoon, bewaakt hotel. Op 5 minuten rijden van Disney en 15 minuten vanaf Universal. Ruime schone kamer, goede bedden. Op één terrein met Courtyard en Fairfield in. Je mag gebruik maken van de faciliteiten van alle 3 de hotels.
Op 10 minuten lopen een grote outlet mall en veel restaurants op korte afstand.
Het ontbijt is eenvoudig en zeer druk. Plastic borden/bestek, maar voldoende om de dag goed te beginnen.
Bij het zwembad kan je gebruik maken van de handdoekenservice.

This hotel was great...all the amenities needed and the staff excellent. Enjoyed the convience of the area...10mins from Disney....(lots of traffic but manageable) Great area view and location.
