For the price....you cannot beat it. Great sheets! We need a place for the evening as we were passing through. It was absolutely fine! You can feel the history in this hotel. I am sure it was quite beautiful in its hayday.

This hotel is in a very hard to find place... It's in front of a corrections agency. It service was ordinary, very cozy, not many problems. Not for high class.

I had an early morning flight and the hotel was in a good location (30 minutes from Orlando-Sanford International Airport) available for a good price. The room was clean and spacious. It's located in the downtown area but apparently only 30 minutes away from most things. The staff, especially Lisa (I think that was her name) was extremely friendly and nice. She was probably one of the friendliest receptionists I have interacted with (and I end up staying in hotels at least 10 times a year). The lobby was also aesthetically appealing.

when we finally found it the room refrigarator did not work we had to change room also no microwave as requested but in the morning the manger did get us a microwave--also the room had rouches but thet did spray the help was good and the manager worked with you--not the best of neighborhood

Hotel was easy to find, great location, and great staff. Our room was right across from the pool, but not easy access to parking (all the way on the other side of the hotel).
Room was clean, but a cockroach did make an appearance.
Also, the mirror over the big vanity mirror did not work at first, but maintenance came and fixed it.
Hotel was close to all major highways and had FREE WIFI!

I was in Orlando for business and pleasure. This hotel is easy to get to and has amazing restaurants close by to eat in. The hotel is decorated with such good taste and does not look or feel like your ordinary hotel. From the moment you pull in, the staff is exceptional and the hotel lobby is great from the flooring to the zebra fabric covered chairs. The bar and piano bar were a definite bonus and the music was wonderful. The rooms were comfortable and beautiful with great bedding. The pool area was probably my favorite. Perfect place to watch an afternoon storm and swim laps in the evening. This was probably one of the best hotel experiences I have had. Definitely will be back!

From the looks online, I thought that this would be a great place to stay with my wife since it seemed quiant like some of the smaller inns that we have been in around the country...plus it was in the perfect location to visit family and friends who live in Orlando.
The rooms are quite small (like NY Times Square small) and so are the bathrooms. The bathroom had a weird shower and the way they designed it causes water to spray all over the floor. I was supposed to get a queen bed, but I know for a fact that the bed was smaller than a queen. Decor and furniture in the room was more like an Ikea showroom. Our room faced Robinsin St. so all through the day you just heard traffic, people talking, etc.
One night we came back to the hotel and a delivery truck for the Panera was blocking the entire lot, and they wouldn't move or let us into for over an hour. The owner was very apologetic the next morning as others had complained and he stated that Panera shouldn't have done that, but it was too little too late and we were already annoyed.
The next night some kids were having a drinking party all night and slamming doors.
Overall for the price, I would have probably stayed at a chain and gotten the same or better amenities. The only thing going for this was the location for where I needed to be. With some better furniture, design, this could be a charm one day.

Adequate hotel in downtown Orlando

We chose this hotel because it was conveniently located near our daughter's apartment. The rooms are quite small but generally clean. We did not really see much staff as the front desk closes after four p.m. They give you a key to access your room and the building. There is a Panera around the corner and a Starbucks in walking distance, as well as several good restaurants.

Our central location puts you within blocks of downtown restaurants and night clubs. No Pets Allowed.

Didn't pay much, didn't get much.

Visiting the area with a very full itinerary, we knew we would not be spending much time in our room, so at $50 per night, we didn't expect much. Not much is exactly what we got! Although the room was clean enough, it was was definitely in disrepair. The toilet seat shifted every time we sat on it, there were cracks in the tile bordering the very small shower stall, the drain cover in the shower was loose and by day 3 of our 5 day stay, the shower began draining very slowly. In addition, a dresser drawer handle was broken, there was no alarm clock, no coffee maker, no iron or board. On the upside, the bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. There is also a convenient and free bus service that picks up just across the street.
For a quick visit when you won't be staying too long an don't expect a palace, this place will fit the bill. Just don't expect anything near extravagant!
