un beau séjour ,un quartier très sympa ,voyage à refaire,nous avons été très bien reçu dommage qu'il n'y ai qu'un snack qui ferme un peu tôt,cependant pour nous qui n'aimons pas les lieux trop touristique,cet hôtel est parfait car le quartier est trsè bien ,un grand merci à cet hôtel

Recently spent a long weekend at the Viceroy in Miami for a relaxing girls' getaway. The hotel is beautifully decorated. Our room was ready upon check-in and was as beautifully decorated as the rest of the hotel. Staff at the front desk was helpful and courteous. One minor note on the room - there is an open wall to the bathroom with just decorative wood trellis. The shower has a glass door. If you're modest, beware! Everyone in the room can see you showering. The pool up on the 15th floor is spectacularly enormous. Since it was a Friday morning, we were able to find seats easily. We were unable to figure out where to find towels and it took quite a while to figure out. More signs or more staff available to greet hotel guests and help them find seats would be a nice touch. Being that this property includes residences as well as the hotel, there seemed to be a lack of service at the pool. I felt at times, we were missing out on that resort experience. We ordered drinks and food. Everything was good but the service was a bit slow and when we asked for a 2nd round of water with our cocktails, we didn't get. Again, I think being so intertwined with the residences, that resort feel is just missing....it seemed you were kind of hanging out at someone's apartment building. We made the mistake of not studying the map before booking so it was a bit disappointing to discover how far we were from South Beach. $20 cab fare each way. There is no beach within walking distance of the Viceroy with the exception of the Mandarin Oriental - unfortunately, you must be a guest there in order to use the beach. We ate at the Epic Hotel across the river - it was very good. We also had dinner at Rosa Mexicana in Brickell Village - great mexican food. The nightlife on a Sunday in the village was slow. We were hoping for a bit more of a scene and again, this particular area seems to lack the same amount of tourism that South Beach attracts. Some people are probably happy with the quieter area. We asked our Concierge on Saturday morning if he could try and help us with getting into Liv that night. He promised to call his connection to see what he could do and would leave us a message in our room. When we got back from the beach that day, it was disappointing that he never bothered to call back. On the plus side, we had dinner in FountaineBleu and were able to get into Liv that night. Last notes - we were given a hard time at the towel stand on two days. Once they almost wouldn't give them to us - two girls asking for just two towles. They explained they ran short the day before...mabye because we heard other people asking for EIGHT towels. When the service at the pool is already spotty, it leaves a bad taste when you're given a hard time with towels. The SPA - amazing! We both had facials and massages. Everyone working in the spa is wonderful. the services were wonderful. The facility is beautiful. Can't say enough good about the spa! Highly recommend! Overall, a great destination for a girls' weekend. Only wished it were a little closer to the action of South Beach. And more of a scene at the pool - so that we didn't feel that we were crashing a residential pool. I don't know how they'd fix that being that there seem to be a LOT of residents using the facility.

Our stay was extremely enjoyable especially considering there was free internet and complimentary breakfast. The location was ideal for getting to and from the airport and returning our rented car. In addition, we were able to get around to the various malls quite easily including Sawgrass Mills which was about a 40 min relaxing drive away from the hotel.

The hotel decor is very contemporary and elegant. State-of-the-art appliances in the fully equipped kitchen for those, like myself, that need to cook healthy meals. But the breakfast buffet is also complimentary to get your day started. The staff was very professional and friendly. Parking is $15 per day, but at least you know you're safe...so it's a positive trade off. I definitely have this one on my "favorites" list for whenever I need to be in Miami...conveniently super close to the airport too.

Chosen by price, room was very clean and staff was extremely diligent. Had some trouble with the ligths on first night, was taken care off promptly, minor trouble in bathroom, very minor. Should consider arranging better WIFI for hotel, can not use in room , only by front desk area, if need to work on computer you have to be at lobby. Otherwise decent hotel for the money.

Rooms were clean. Laminate flooring gave cleaner feel to room than having old carpet. Beds were clean though not the most comfortable. Staff very courteous and helpful. There is a nice pool (outdoor), an okay workout room typical of motel/hotels. My only complaint was the free continental breakfast.... Consisted of plastic wrapped honey buns and the like... The sort which come from a vending machine. Also had terrible coffee, ok orange juice and some cold cereal. Would stay here again, excellent value and clean.

The hotel is conveniently located near MIA. Our room was very clean. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was tasty and priced in line with other hotels in the area.

Has a free shuttle to the airport. Room was clean. Amenities average. Took 3 phone calls to get complimentary tooth brush.

Just your basic old hotel with few comforts. Room was clean but hotel felt worn out and dirty.

good location . next on I-195. keep I-195 to miami beach just 5 miles.

Room was in need of decorating the bathroom also, very crampt, breakfast was nothing special and expensive for what it was, make sure you get a B&B deal.

Room was small on the second floor with no elevator. Had to carry our own bags up a narrow staircase. Does have a shuttle to and from the airport and is nearby.

We felt safe , staff was very helpful, breakfast could have been better,overall a good stay.

The location was good,the Staff was friendly and the Room was clean. I was satified and confortable.

The hotel is located in a quiet area of the financial district of downtown Miami with wonderful views of Miami skyscraper skyline from our apartment. We enjoyed our visit immensely.

We arrived and got checked-in very quickly. We were told our room got upgraded at no extra charge which included an extra bedroom and bathroom. Although we didn't need them the extra room was nice. Valet service was prompt and it was just $20 a day for valet parking. It was a little annoying that it was the only option for parking but at that price who really cares. The suite we had had two patios, both with a nice ocean view. The restaurant inside the hotel was pretty awful with food that was barley warm and stale tasting and because this hotel is downtown, there isn't much else open late. We asked for some dish detergent and was told it would be brought to our room although it never arrived. No big deal really though. The beds weren't very comfortable but that was understandable since everything was IKEA furniture. As for location, it's less than a block away from the Mover which is a nice way to get around downtown for free. We stayed there for Ultra Music Festival and we were able to walk there from the hotel which was nice. We would stay there again for the price.

We arrived at 1:30pm. Check-in was at 3:00. The hotel clerk, while pleasant, would not let us check in early, claiming that ALL ROOMS were being cleaned. There were a total of 3 - three, that's three, cars in the parking lot. If he wasn't going to let us check-in early, OK, but don't lie to me and tell me ALL ROOMS are being cleaned. Also, we were charged $5.65 for parking which according to the website, should have been free. There was no ice machine, no pool, no breakfast.

Easy parking - a plus near downtown Miami.

KIND OF A SHABBY CHIC ENVIRONMENT BUT NICELY DONE...SOME NICE LOTIONS AND THINGS LEFT IN THE BATH FOR US, GOOD TOWELS, GOOD BED AND NICE SIZED ROOM.....ENJOYED THE POOL, HAD A NICE CONTINENTAL STYLE BREAKFAST. LOCATION IS GOOD...PRICE IS RIGHT......

Beautiful and helpful receptionist. Funky decor from the 50s. Great restaurants within walking distance (loved Balan's). And, nice little breakfast area in rear.

The hotel room was great. The breakfast was terrible. The good room out weights the bad breakfast.

We went for the Nascar Championship in November. The location was great, right off the Turnpike and next to shopping & restaurants. The staff was very attentive. Rooms were comfortable and VERY clean. A bountiful breakfast buffet. The only negative is the slow elevator... We will be staying here again!!!!

Once again we enjoyed our stay at LQ. The PM and AM gals (Jessi and Geysa) at the front desk were professional, courteous and quick. The breakfast worker, Sherri kept the food line stocked for a big Sunday crowd. Our beds were comfortable, but disappointed that this LQ did not offer rooms with 2 Queen beds but only 1 King or 2 doubles.

Good for short stays in Miami area, all you need is in within a few miles and a very calm place to rest after a hard day.

Two draw backs; I booked through O r b i t z and was not eligable for Rewards Points. Alot of non-hotel papers (menus & religious) slide under the door. The Hotel is Perfect and everything you expect from Marriott.

i liked it! it was located in a great section -- perfect timing away from all centers and airport. it was really clean and the beds were so comfy! cannot complain!

We had a less than perfect stay on our prior stay, but hotel management more than made up for it this trip. We were upgraded to a Jr Suite and the hotel provided complimentary snacks on our second night. The hotel is perfectly located on the edge of downtown and near Mary Brickell Village and minutes from the Beach, Coconut Grove and Coral Gables along the MIamia River. Gorgeous views of the river and Biscayne Bay. While the self parking requires a lengthy walk, it is all indoors and secure. Also, easy access directly off I-95.

This is a hotel where real people stay, not business people with expense accounts or upper middle class tourists. Owner and staff are great. There's an honest to goodness Botero sculpture in the lobby and giant bronze lions out front! Room was clean, spacious, great view of the river, but one sink faucet didn't work, and the t.v. had no remote control, no 'fridge. Little pool outside was unused (cold water, and I didn't see any filtration going on). Homeless men sleep outside under the nearby bridges, so running in the morning wasn't an option. But if you are attending a conference at the Hyatt next door, you can save a bundle by staying here. Oh - breakfast doesn't include anything healthy to eat: white bread/toast, pre-packaged danish with tons of preservatives in them, and so on. Two large bags of breakfast cereal, milk, juice, coffee (not the tastiest)...I bought individual servings of Cheerios at the CVS (5 minute walk).

This place does not offer any free parking to guest. You have to pay $25 a day to park your car there per day. Also besides the cost of the room they put an additional $20 hold on your credit card until you check out. The staff are very unprofessional. The parking attendant was driving my truck like a crazy person. The non-smoking rooms smell like smoke. I hope this helps someone else out. There are plenty of other hotels in the area that offer free parking to their guest.

The hotel is super old school and very old!. Haven't seen anything like it before since I was in the Bronx, NY. But overall, great location, and the staff was very helpful!

If you are reading this review, chances are that you have read other reviews which I should have done prior to booking this hotel. This place if definitely a unique place to stay..... Pro's: cheapest hotel in the area, great location (right across from bayside and the arena, 5 min away from south beach) Con's: super ghetto! Doors in bathroom don't shut, no hair dryer for the room, locks for room entrance are keyed and are hard to open. Abnormal odors in the hotel. Holiday Inn looks about 5 stars compared to this place. Overall, If you are on a budget and can handle not having lots of amenities, this place might be ok for you due to the location and price. This is not a family place and by the way the continental breakfast is just bagels and doughnuts.

This was not a bad experience because I knew not to expect hotel services but there was only one bath towel & one hand towel in the room. No washcloth and there were two of us. One tiny piece of soap. There was nothing we could do the night we got there because the office wasn't open but the next day I asked for more towels and they never came. The unit was not perfect. There was a kitchenette but no coffee maker. Very sparse with mismatched items. Nice area with restaurants within walking distance.

Check in was on time at 3pm so if you want an early check in its not possible. Mr. A who checks you in needs customer service orientation ( he does not smile very strick, flat affect). Parking was $20/ night. We parked on the 7th floor which takes you 5 -7 minutes to get down to the main street. Unless your speeding on the parking lot. During check in ask for extra toilet paper , extra towels because you might not get a hold of them anymore. Our blinds were broken, the dish washer had old water pooling inside ewwww (yuuuuck) we were not able to use it, the remote control did not work. We told them about it 3 times but we already checked out and all but still, none was fixed. If you need anything You have to catch them 10 am to 5pm (which we never do because that time we are out and arrive late.). If you want to ask a simple question from people in the front desk(actually security personel) , there is no phone inside the room so you have to go down the elevator and ask your question. Lastly, You throw your own trash in the back alley. What I like is the spacious room. Full Kitchen. And they have washer and dryer.

I booked the hotel because I had an overnight layover in Miami and needed an easy place to sleep for a few hours. The shuttle came quickly, and the front desk staff was nice enough, but the hotel itself needs lots of love. The stench of old cigarette smoke was the first thing that hit me walking in to the lobby, and the room was not much better (even though I got a non-smoking room). The linens had hair on it that was not mine, and I was actually afraid to put my luggage on any of the furniture in the room because it looked so dusty and old. There were cracks in the wall and the closet contained a horrendously old microwave on the floor and lots of mold. Perhaps the worst, however, was the paper thin walls - not a great combination with tiled floor. I could hear every footstep in the hall, as well as every word of the conversation in the room next to mine. Normally I'm a very heavy sleeper, so in reading previously reviews that noise was a problem, I wasn't too concerned. I wish now that I had paid more attention - it was awful. Although the shuttle makes going to and from the airport easy, this hotel is just not worth it.

It is an OLD motel. It was ok in the clean department. But all the floors everywhere are tile, no carpet anywhere. So noisy to say the least, you hear every door open, everyone going down the hall or talking. It made for a noisy nights sleep. It is not a 3 star, I would say barely a 2 star. The plus was the shuttle to the airport ran about every 20 minutes.

The location of the hotel was great for us. Easy for shopping, eating etc. The hotel was generally what we expected based on its 3 star rating. The staff were also nice and very accomodating. I have two problems to report however. I booked a non smoking room. When I got to check in the attendant offered an upgrade from a room with a two twin beds to a king size bed. When we got to the room we realised that it smelled of smoke, everything in the room smelled of smoke including the bed linen. We endured it for the night and the next day we asked to be relocated but was told the hotel was fully booked. Me and my wife were forced to endured that smell for the next for nights. That truly ruined our experience. We also had two cockroaches in our room. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. I maybe back again....who knows.

Do your research this hotel is a 35 dollar cab ride away from the airport

Good price, great location. You don't get clean service unless you spend 7 nights.

My wife and I went to Miami to see a concert at the AA Arena and do some shopping and dinning. The hotel was close to the Port Area (driving). Close to some great restaurants, has a pharmacy right across the street. A quiet neighborhood. The hotel was full, but we never noticed or felt crowded, The pillows could've been more comfortable. TV channels were sub-par, Comments: We never had the room made up between days and spent very little time at the hotel. Never ate there, etc.

The hotel room was comfortable, clean and had a boutique feel. Went to Miami for business and interviews in the hospital district, so this hotel was perfect because it was walking distance to the Clinical research building, Jackson Memorial, and the VA.

The hotel is clean, offers a good buffet breakfast, has a Starbucks inside, shuttle to the airport and Bayside (Not included), free Wi-Fi, business center and a helpful and kind staff. Rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and offer facilities like a microwave, a mini fridge and a coffee blender. The hotel is very close to Culmer Station, where you can take the Metrorail and it is 2 stations from Government Center in Downtown Miami. Although local people say it is close to a not so safe neighborhood, when I walked to Culmer Staton I did not feel unsafe.

The hotel is conveniently located, equidistant from the main malls in the area and has easy access from main highways. It has been recently remodeled, rooms are comfortable and attention is OK. The bar/restaurant next door is very unpleasant, dark and not well maintained, so breakfast and meals at the hotel are not recommended.

Nothing extraordinary, simply a cheap but clean and quiet sta for those wanting a rest close to the airport.

Could not be anymore perfect for my trip purposes. I spent much of my days out so the comfortness and other details were just right. Would be excelent if the pool was bigger as well as the gym.

My daughter and I had a great stay for a weekend. Everything went smoothly from the moment we arrived to the time we checked out. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Overall great experience.

The hotel was nice and clean concierge was great. The front desk staff were ok. The parking is way toooo high! Need to make people aware of fees.
