This is a beautiful resort. Only complaint is that we were there two weeks prior to Christmas and it was a little slow, so the actual building (Bayside Inn) front desk was not staffed. Also they did not have the Kids Club and operation as they require at least three kids to be signed up, although they did offer a reference to a local babysitting service.

This was our Valentine's getaway, and was very enjoyable. The whole stay was smooth and problem-free. The check in staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel was very quiet. We found out later that the first and second floors were being remodeled at the time, but we never heard a peep of construction. The only knock I would even mention is that the TV picture was pretty low quality, but I've probably gotten spoiled by my LCD at home. However, one of the staff told us that new TV's and new beds were part of the remodeling, so even that won't be a problem next time. I would definitely stay here again.

We got what we paid for. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. We were a short drive from the beach and very close to restaurants on the main strip. This was no Hilton. However, if you are looking for a cheap basic place to stay, this place will work. I would return ... for the price.

This was a very nice hotel/condo. We had an eldely grandmother along. Every thing was very accessible even the beach.
Being a pilot, I did not mine the close proximity to the small airport nearby.

This is the cheapest condo I have ever stayed in so it scared me that it wouldn't be nice or clean. It exceeded my expectations. It was very clean and the place provided clean sheets and towels. I have spent a lot more money in other places and had to bring these items with me.

Wasn't what we expected

Staff was nice considering after the third fridge we finally were given one that worked. Cleaning of our room was crazy. Coming back to the room at 5pm and our room hadn't been touched. Took out our own trash due to the room not being cleaned. Had to ask for towels 4 of 6 days and our room was only cleaned twice as far as the tub etc. Did manage to get them to put clean sheets for us daily when we complained. A/C wasn't that great during the day but good at night. Maint. said they were old units and you just had to put them on the lowest possible setting. Nice breakfast. The carpet in the room was nasty. The reason I would not recommend this place to a friend is because of the issues with the housekeeping staff.

We stayed at this location for 4 nights in June 2011. The staff were friendly and the rooms were as clean as could be expected. During the day the rooms were very hot. The A/C must be on timers set by Management. Getting into and out of the Hotel is somewhat of a problem. There is not signal and can only turn right out of the drive. If needing to go the other way, you have to make a U turn. Public Beach access is only a mile or so away. Big Kahuna's is within walking distance. We had problems with kids running around a screaming at all hours of the night making it hard to sleep. Next time will spend a little more for a nicer place.

We used to love coming to these cottages, but they have become really rundown and ResortQuest, who operates them, is much less caring than they used to be. When we got there, after check-in time, we had to wait an hour before we could get in. The beds and floor felt sandy even though the unit had just been cleaned. On the 2nd night my 11yr old fell in her sleep from the top bunk because the bar was loose & landed on the tile floor. We spent half the next day getting a CT scan and xray. When I reported this, ResortQuest got really defensive and said that legally all that mattered was that there *was* a bar there; they didn't seem too concerned that it might happen to another child. The beach is also disappointing now unless you stay on one of the hotels right on it, as they set up their umbrellas and deck chairs to block everyone else out. I used to love coming to destin and the Nantucket Cottages because they were low key and comfortable, but this experience was all-round disappointing.

We enjoyed it for the most part. when we entered the cottage there was a decoration broken on the floor so we stepped on alot of glass. It had dust bunnies everywhere.IT WAS NOT CLEAN. When we tried leaving they tried charging us a cleaning fee of almost $70.00 and we even took trash out, wiped down sinks, showers, etc. Employees [...] helped us alot and employee [...] understood our anger about being charged a cleaning fee [...]. White male in office was kind of rude (dont know his name) and people upstairs were noisey. it was a nice place, easy parking, great location, came furnished with everything you need to cook with. we enjoyed it for the most part. we saved money and traveled a while for this vacation.

The hotel was very nice and had a great view. The screen going to the Patio was really in need of repair. It was off its track and almost impossile to open and shul.

There was a beer fest and corvette show at the Wharf at Sandestin. This is a nice complex with two golf courses and the Wharf area is very nice.
My wife and I were in Destin for a beach wedding and could not take in much of the other amenities.
We did not eat at the Hotel as they did not offer a continental breakfast (only offered a 20% off coupon and the price seemed inflated by at least that much)
Not overjoyed by the place....
