Pleasant Staff with emphasis on cleanliness. Great location next to Brighthouse Field and dining areas. Still do not understand the 19N address when it appears to be off of 19S. But nonetheless, an overall pleasurable experience.

I'm a single woman traveling alone and the staff gave me an upstairs room next to the office. I stayed 3 nights and felt cozy. I'm broke so this fit my budget oerfectly, I'm glad I didn't waste more money on a different hotel because when your lying on the beach, it doesn't matter how much your hotel room cost. The shower pressure was AMAZING! i also enjoyed a nightly bubble bath and the free HBO.

Just a place to stay; nothing special

The pool was not clean, and we never went in the three days we were there due to being scary. The room smelled bad all three days. It was a fair price and 20 minutes from the ocean, but we would not stay here again. The continental buffet was lacking in variety and seating. It was too crowded to get food in the morning.

My boyfriend and I went to Phillies Spring training for 4 days, 3 nights and stayed at the Days Inn. Was a short drive to Bright House Field (about 5 mins) but about a 10-15 min drive to Clearwater Beach. With traffic, which was heavy the weekend we were there (3/18-22), it makes for at least a 1/2 hr drive to the beach, which was not ideal for us.
The hotel had a small pool and jacuzzi with limited number of chairs/loungers around. It was fine for what we used it for, just some sun/pool before and after the games and nice to come home to from the beach. Nothing special, definitely old and could use updating, but worked just fine for us.
Our room was old and outdated, but had a bed and bathroom so we were set. Also, had a little table and chairs, tv, and free wi-fi. I probably wouldn't want to stay there any longer than we did...but for a short stay on a budget, it's ok.
All in all, if your looking to do a cheap trip to Clearwater, it's not a bad place to stay. However, keep in mind it is a little whiles from the beach and it is not a luxury hotel by any means!

You get what you pay for

I woud not have been so dissapointed in this hotel if they had not sold them selves as such a premiere Howard Johnson. It really could have been if it hadn't been right next to a car dealership that played music as loud as they could all day. Then room was nice enough, with only minimal water damage. On the positive side, the hotel was such that I didn't wish to hang around, and I really got out and saw all of Tampa and Clearwater Beach.

While it appears by the address that this hotel is on a main road, its actually on an access road and the sign is actually below the highway, making the hotel very difficult to find.
While the hotel was not full of amenities, I found the hotel to be appropriate to its cost. The room was clean.
The hotel was appropriate for my needs, but I wouldn't suggest it for families that plan an extended duration.

The hotel was clean but old and in need of some TLC--chipped tile, worn blankets, etc. We travelled between Clearwater, Tampa, and St. Pete and even made a trip to Orlando. The location was good with lots of restaurants nearby.

We stayed at the St. Petersburg Clearwater Courtyard by Marriott over Christmas. It was the perfect location for us - right across the Bayside Bridge from Safety Harbor and across the Howard Frankland from Tampa. Perfect location with easy access to everything!

Hard to find, must make a U-turn if coming back from the beach. Poorly marked sign cannot see until you get to the hotel. The hotel was great, most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Great services, pool & hot tob were fairly clean but nice. Private balconies on 2nd & 3rd floors. Great central location getting to the beach or headed to Tampa Would definantly stay again!

Geographically close to where we needed to be and good for two, and sometimes three people to spend time together and share meals. Sofa bed very uncomfortable. Would only use for a child. Staff was extremely accommodating.

This hotel was conveniently located for our business seminar as well as being close to the beach! Having the kitchen helped to keep extra travel costs to a minimum. We were able to check in early and the desk staff were extremely friendly and very helpful!
Although the breakfast that is served has a number of different options, I would have liked to see "real" eggs (poached, hard-boiled, etc) instead of what seemed to be the powdered eggs that are so often served at hotels.

It was a beautiful hotel, great location on beach and nice amenities. I did not like the additional charges for printing forms and using the internet in the business center. I think the additional resort fees should include a minimum amount of time and printing at the business center. They closed parts of the sun decks for private meetings on a daily basis. This was annoying. I did enjoy my stay and would recommend this resort.

We loved our stay here.. It's a beach front hotel and they have a lot of good amenities but they charged us $16 a day for parking. Wish they would stop charging it for their hotel guests.

I was extremly disappointed with this Marriot. I stay at Marriot's because you expect luxury and cleanliness but not this one. It is not renovated, it smelled bad. You listed this as a 3 star location but motel 8 would have been better than this Marriot.

The hotel is a classic Residence Inn and room are plenty of space and amenities. The pool is small and useless. The hotel position is not so good but it's a 5 / 10 minutes drive to many interesting places including beaches and cities (Tampa / St. Petersburg). If you get a good price, the hotel may be a good pick.
