Love all the Club Quarter locations I've stayed in. DC is nicely located on 3 Metro lines. Second floor has printer, computer and complementary coffee, tea, sodas, fresh fruit and snacks. Comfy lounge with complimentary papers -- Very nice. The distilled water and water bottles on each floor is also a very nice touch

Got this hotel to stay overnight in DC and save a little money on the return flight back. Perfect location to do some sight seeing and its right next to public transit. Really good restaurant in the building and great breakfast/coffee options nearby. Friendly staff greeted me at the door and held my luggage after checkout when I wanted to explore before flying out of DC. Highly recommended hotel.

In DC for 2 weeks for work. Excellent walking distance from the office. Many dining options along the way. Easy and enjoyable walk back from the Mall on the weekend. Room was comfortable and welcoming for the extended stay. Loved the vanity to sit and primp in the mornings. The pillows were all synthetic and a bit too plump for my neck's preference...I'd preferred a down and less firm pillow option. Wish they'd have left 2 bottles of water each day. Architecture and 1920s detailing/craftsman ship rich; The lounge is sultry and the cafe simply charming.

The Hay Adams was an amazing hotel in the Perfect Location. Just Steps from the White house and walking distance to two different Metro Lines. It was a convenient spot as a home base to take in all of the sites. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Our room, unfortunately, overlooked the alley/dumpster, so I would spend a bit more for a view next time, but in reality, we received a great price and we just closed the curtains whenever we were in the room, which wasn't very often. The restaurant was wonderful and the bar downstairs was the perfect spot for a nightcap. All in all, a wonderful experience.

I am sure a standard room would be better!

I had asked for a double room and the only one available was the ADA compliant room. The staff was very courteous trying to accomodate since the hotel was booked but the room was (appropriately)funky: low rack in the closet meant only 1/3 of it was usable, no shelves in bathroom meant no blowdryer--first one didnt work, then brought a new one, the clock display was so dim it couldnt be read (clock was replaced but was still not user-friendly). The rest of the hotel made up for the room, but it was a bit of a disappointment considering the reputation of the hotel.

We stayed at Circle One for 5 days. We used the kitchen facilities for breakfast each day. It was equipped with pots, pan, dishes etc and we had the option of a more complete set of utensils which we did not need. The hotel is close to a hospital and some people might be bothered by the frequency of siren noises but it did not bother us. The gym facility was small but adequate for our purposes. The staff was great. The doorman greeted us on arrival and departure EVERY day. There is some construction going on it the street below. It can be noisy.

Classic and Sophisticated DC Hotel

  • bebo12
  • May 15, 2012
This is the 3rd Fairmont Hotel stay for us. Our room was less lux than when we made rez directly through hotel. But even so, this is an outstanding property with lots of amenities. The lobby and sitting areas are gorgeous and generally quiet. It is not a 'family' hotel in the sense of little kids running around, but IS a family hotel in familiy events and reunions that are more sophisticated and classy. That is a good description generally for the hotel- classy. The rooms could be updated, but are generally comfortable and quiet. Our tiny balcony was a great way to get fresh air! Staff are friendly and accomodating.

The hotel is as would expect from a Fairmont - pretty, classy, great service. The rooms being nice, good size, clean with lovely lovely toiletries. Great location to Georgetown, 10-15 min walk. Only thing we were surprised about is the size of the hotel bar in the lobby - bar itself is very small and not much bar seating but comfortable couches abound in the lobby if this is more your thing. The inner courtyard is very cute with fairy lights adorning all the trees. We had a great stay though the hotel seemed quiet. Would recommend and come back.

Great Place to Stay in DC near White House

  • Winestockian
  • Aug 12, 2012
One of the most memorable visits I've had to DC - and the location and staff of the hotel had a big role to play. Avoid taking the Hop on Hop Off - the location of the hotel makes all the sites and meseums accessible with a few min walk or a short taxi ride. By picking a hotel centrally located, you can get to places faster and avoid being stuck on a hop on off bus or wait for sub-way and change for hours. This hotel has been one of most impressive ones I've stayed at across US and Europe in all my trips these past 30 years.

Great location, and very comfortable.

  • DerekTXTravler
  • Nov 23, 2012
The Quincy was a great hotel. Very convient to both Farragut North and West Metro stations (only a few blocks). Also, Georgetown, and Dupont Circle are within walking distance. The hotel is in the middle of the business district, so you have to walk to find food on the weekends, but other than that, it was an excellent location. The room was large with a king bed, sectional sofa, flat screen, large ceiling to floor mirror, microwave, and mini-fridge. The bed was very comfortable with lots of fluffy pillows. My only complaints were that there was no breakfast service, only coffee. Although there were some breakfast places nearby. Also the Wi-fi was absolutely terrible. It went in and out of service and also while in service, it was so slow. If I was on business, I would have been extremely frustrated and dissapointed. Overall, a clean, comfortable, and convenient hotel for a good value.

This small hotel sandwiched between an office building and a restaurant is very unassuming and could be easily missed for it's small simple lobby. However, when you get up to the guest rooms they are impressively large, modern, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. And, an added bonus, the towels were full size, not the normal tiny hotel towels.

Economical and Comfortable Stay!

  • Kaanapali_Gal
  • Mar 27, 2011
1-Br. Suite resembled a cozy city apartment, with lots of closet space, 2 flat screen TVs, full kitchen with dishwasher & appliances. YOu could never get this space for the money in NYC. Toiletries from Bath 'n Body Works. The bed was really, really comfortable with super soft linens! Low-key, small hotel, yet so close to the shops of M St., the Potomac River/Washington Harbor area, and even the Kennedy Center, to which I walked with my 4-year-old. Parking conveniently in lower level of bldg. Breakfast was free and good - bagels, Yoplait yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, granola bars, cereal. The other guests I observed were families and other tourist types. Only complaint was faint cigarette smell in hallways despite No Smoking signs on room doors. Overall though, for the price (my 1-Br suite was $175) this place was perfect...if you need luxe, just walk 1/2 block up the street and pay $500+ p/night at the Four Seasons!

The first night we were put in a small room with a very hard mattress. The next morning we requested another room and were transfered at no extra cost to a room twice as big with a bathroom twice as big and a comfortable bed. Location was a short and inexpensive taxi ride to most tourist locations. The taxis in DC are very clean with courteous drivers.

This hotel is a beautiful old building in downtown Washington. The room was small more like a European hotel, but nicely furnished and very comfortable. It had a good looking The hotel wireless worked great. They have a small, but reasonable exercise room with a only a few pieces of equipment. The closest metro stop is 5 blocks and is a nice walk. Great special price

  • Shadygarden
  • Aug 21, 2012
This hotel was running a special $99 per night., which was great for DC. I had stayed there several years ago so I knew it would be fine. The location is excellent for walking to the National Mall, White House, etc. and it is near two Metro stops. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. There is a small but well equipped fitness room. Free coffee is available each morning in the restaurant.

We found the hotel to be comfortable and convenient. Two blocks from the White House and easy walking distance to the National Mall, Washington Monument, and Lincoln Memorial. Thanksgiving dinner at J.W. Marriott was excellent! D.C. Trails bus tour to Mount Vernon was interesting and enjoyable. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to see D.C.!

First rate, but a little expensive. Staff very accomodating including checking us in early when we arrived and giving us a late check out so we could spend a little more time in the city. Cafe du Park cafe is outstanding for breakfast and lunch. (Did not have dinner there.) Service and quality of simple direct food excellent. Again, a little expensive.

Excellent location

  • MB E350
  • Dec 9, 2012
As we spent all of our time in DC in museums on the Mall, the location was excellent and the price was right. The hotel is clean and pleasent. One big draw back is lack of a restaurant (The Four Corners was, for unexplained reasons, closed), and we are not the sports bar type. One negative, right after arrival I told the frron desk that the exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work - it still did not work when we left.
