We wanted to see the room. They couldnt find our reservation. Sign for check in was 3 and website said 2. All kinds of polices about the time you pay extra. Signage outside advertised for day sleepers. OK We left and did not stay and were told we would be billed anyway. Lesson learned about hotel and website.

It's certainly not a 5 star hotel but if you need a place to crash for a night in the area, Manchester Inn is worth the trip. The rooms are a little old but still well maintained.

Was visiting friends in the area and wanted a cheap, quick place to stay so as not to inconvenience anyone.This is a motel rather than a hotel. The check in process was fairly easy having gotten my deal on [...]. The man checking me in did not speak English very well so it would have been a hassle attempting to get my message across. He was friendly enough though, and told me where my room was, where I could park and where to find the controls for my heater/air conditioner. The room is on the smaller side but was adequate with a bed, chair, desk area and bathroom. It came with a refrigerator and microwave as well as a TV which was basic- but fulfilled it's obligation. The Free WiFi the motel advertised was shotty at best but seeing as I was not there on business, it did not bother me.I wouldn't have called it "shiny and new" but it was clean- though there was a remaining slightly unpleasant odor from somewhere I could not identify. The bed was tolerable, I've stayed on worse and when I phoned the front office to ask for another pillow they were able to accommodate me.While I have stayed in worse, there were three locks on the door and it was a bit removed so I did have a slightly uneasy sense but the night passed without incident and the check out process was a breeze- just drop the key in the box on your way out.Overall I'd say it was about average and served the very basic function I was looking for at a cheap price.While I would not recommend this place to a friend who needed a hotel for the night, if you are looking for a cheap room for a night without any frills- then yes, I would recommend it.

Close to UConn in a great location for shoppers.
Clean , quiet and relaxing. Enjoyed the included breakfast with lots of choices. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Friendly and helpfull staff. Would recommend to a friend.,

My 8 year old, specifically, wanted to stay at a place with an indoor pool so he could swim in March. I was pleased that, upon arrival, the pool WAS open and not closed for renovation. The pool, whirlpool and surrounding swim areas were well-maintained and the water was the right temperature. The flat screens in the area allowed us to all enjoy the area in our own relaxing ways. My husband liked the fresh cookies that were waiting at the check-in desk. The room was CLEAN!!! I felt comfortable to walk on the carpet without slippers on. The staff knew exactly which restaurants were still open at 11pm and they knew what time Wal-Mart opened in the morning-they were friendly and knowledgeable.

i arrived early for my stay and the staff was very accomodating in getting me a room early. I appreciated it because it was pouring outside and i didn't know the area to go any where. The room was clean and the location is fantastic.

I arrived at the hotel early and the hotel staff was very accommodating to me. I actually liked the whole set up. just wished they offered free room service. I was only there for 2 days so i was able to go without having to wash my own towels and i bought my own cleaning supplies to clean the room. I've never stayed at a hotel where you would have to pay for room service. It was new to me. But i would still recommend this hotel. it was nice.

Decent Hotel for Price

While the decor was interesting to say the least (three separate fish tanks in the lobby - one with a lone turtle) the hotel was average for the price. The lobby was very homey with a TV, books, board games & a cute cafe for breakfast. The room itself was average. The bed was extremely too soft & very used. Comforter had cigarette burns in it. You know you stay in a classy place when there is a bottle opener attached to the vanity in the bathroom. High speed internet did not work & the elevator was out of order - good thing I was on the 2nd floor. The best part of my stay was the free continental breakfast.
