OK hotel but hallways and elevator very hot and stuffy; by the time you get from room to lobby you
are very HOT. While room was clean and neat, things getting worn and need repair; caulking in bathroom, chips fixed, etc.

I lost power and needed a place to stay close to work. The location was ideal. The room smelled like cigarettes, the water pressure in the shower was less than ideal and the toilet did not flush I had to open the tank and pull the chain to flush it. Breakfast was donuts and watered down orange juice. For $102 the accomodations could have been better, considering that I get much more for $60 twenty minutes from this hotel.

Thought the rooms could have been way cleaner, didnt want to sleep in bed, shower old and nasty, people who run it speak little english, its way over 5 miles from casinos and the pictures online DO NOT look like the rooms, the outside pic is current but whoa the inside was not, stated liv kitchens, no such thing

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The rooms are set up for long term stay. We were only there one night but I would have been very comfortable to stay longer (mini-fridge, microwave, kitchen sink & counters with bar stools. Two nice chairs with ottomans, beds were moderately comfortable). The hotel itself is in need of updating, things are a bit old and worn. The continental breakfast did not look appealing, but because it's clean, the room was large, and it was very affordable, I definitely recommend it.

Asked for an iron, and then had to go back to the front desk when we could not find an ironing board in the room. It was obvious a previous guest had used the carpet as an ironing board. The room was clean though, with a microwave and fridge, and it is an easy 20 minute drive to Mohegan, Foxwoods, Mystic.

This was a good hotel for a weekend visit where you just need a place to put your stuff. They had free continental breakfast, which was good. They had waffles, sausage, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, a few baked goods, and some fruit. Just enough to load up for the day. The staff was nice and helpful.
Saturday morning, we took cold showers. Not sure what was up though because it was fine on Sunday. Also, the beds were so uncomfortable; they were very, very hard. I felt safe, though, and the staff was friendly. There was a main road close by with a variety of food options. Overall, it was a cheap stay and it was exactly what we needed -- somewhere to stay for a weekend on the go.

Our overall experience was good. The hotel is a little off the beaten path, and it's rooms are far from new, but the building was clean, and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast wasn't fancy, but the food was fresh and the coffee was good.

I wasn't expecting a Five Star location.....we just needed a place to sleep after a night out a Foxwoods. The room was clean and spacious. Would have been nice if they offered a shuttle service to and from Foxwoods. No complaints though!

the hotel is in a very good location. i only used for sleeping, so i didn't care about the amenities offered, which were basically none. anyway, I recommend the hotel, and personally I would visit it again.

STAYED ONE NITE AN FROM WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE HOTEL WAS A VERY NICE VERY CLEAN AN LARGE ROOM ONLY 6 MILES FROM MYSTIC SEAPORT I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN. OH GREAT BREAKFAST THE NEXT MORNING

Honestly we have no complaints. At check in the staff greeted us and welcomed us to Groton. The woman explained all the amenities and provided us with information on 100 things to do which was extremely helpful. Dinner was great and the food was delicious. We were provided with vouchers for breakfast and we thought it was a continental breakfast when in fact it was a traditional breakfast for the duration of our stay. Upon check out once again the staff was generous and did not rush us at all even though we exceeded our stay. We were able to have breakfast and also use our laptop in the lobby. We are extremely satisfied. The room was clean and spacious and what I liked most is that the room had many amenities.

The hotel staff was not friendly. I asked for wireless and he gave me a slip of paper with a name and password. When it wouldnt work, he said his works theres nothing he can do. it wasnt an experience that i hated nor was it one that i liked.

Needed something at a reasonable price on short notice. Very old property...needs alot of updating.
