Great buffet every morning. Bus stop very close by to get to the rest of the villages in Vail. Bus system was very easy to use even with 4 kids. Our room was okay, but at least it was spacious. We did request a washer and dryer and they accommodated us.

Close to Red Lion and the Lifts

  • It's already been taken
  • Mar 2, 2012
A great location for skiing and aprĆØs ski. Steps away from the Vail Village lift an the Red Lion. Good breakfeast (which was an extra 7.50 per day) and an inviting bar/dining room. Only complaints are somewhat outdated electronics in the room, the fact that it was somewhat noisy at night (I was on the first floor and it was noisy from both outside and the room above me), and the slippery stairs to the pool (there is no separate hot tub but a nice heated pool). Generally an somewhat older crowd.

Great location in Vail

  • jmp3206
  • Dec 28, 2011
Just a short walk to the lifts. Hotel was so so, but a real steal for Vail. Hot tub, above ground, no pool, rooms were kept clean every day. Staff did my few dishes every day. Only thing that bothered me was on my way out, I was clipped $15 per day to park a car that never moved. All in all, I would do it again. JP

Great location, nice people, tired

  • Anonymous
  • Feb 25, 2011
Eventually, this place is going under renovation. Owners clearly are not investing and seem to be waiting for the economy to turn before redeveloping into a very expensive luxury property like the surroundings. For now, a relative value within a 2-300 yard walk to the Gondola. Great views, nice people. Bed comfortable. Amenities lacking. If you demand upscale, go elsewhere and pay 2-3 times more. If you want to sleep near the slopes for *RELATIVELY* short money- this will fill the bill.

A comfortable hotel in a great location!

  • newlywed traveler
  • Sep 4, 2012
My husband and I went to Vail for Labor Day weekend and were surprised and delighted by the Lodge Tower Resort. We were within seconds of walking to Vail Village and the Gormet on Gore event that was going on over the weekend and numerous restaurants, bars, shops and bike/walking paths. The pool was smaller, but despite the hotel being sold out, we had it all to ourselves, along with two private hot tubs looking on to the mountains. The continental breakfast had a European feel with fresh pastries and fruit. A parking garage and covered bike racks were also available and provided. Overall, a great value for staying in Vail within moments of everything.

We've been going to Vail for years - all year round. Now that I have children I look for more of a "home away from home". We got more than that from the Vail Racquet Club! It was VERY clean, decorated so beautifully but not over the top and lots of space in our condo for the whole family to spread out! When we didn't cook in our condo the restaurant was VERY good! The best part was the cost was so much better than places I've stayed in the past! I won't stay anywhere but here from now on! Love the free firewood!

  • Dec 18, 2012
The location is absolutely perfect! The only thing we didn“t like much was that there was no late room service and that the housekeeping staff didn“t re-supply the toiletries, so the last day we had ran out of shampoo, soap and bath gel. The staff was the most helpful and nice. We are definitely returning to The Lodge at Vail.

great location for hanging out in vail village. It was nice not having to drive anywhere. A bit noisy from our room but worth it. The rooms need some upgrades and maintenance but overall was ok. Need to replace towels with newer and improve check out time--this (early checkout) caused us to miss an entire day of relaxation!!!

Perfect for a hiking (or skiing) weekend!

  • LoRoth
  • Sep 23, 2011
The reason I booked this hotel was because it would fit mo mom, brother, husband and i all in one room for about $100 in Vail. But is was SO much more than I was expecting. The room had a separate bedroom with 2 queen beds, living room with queen sofabed and fireplace, a full kitchen, and balcony. They also have FREE washers and dryers in each building which was much-needed after getting caught in a mountain thunderstorm. The staff was very nice and helpful and we were so close to all the hiking we wanted to do.

For the skiers, this is a great deal. The amount of space for the price was great. The only down side was to get to Vail Village took two bus rides. But to get to Lionshead was the hotel shuttle and it was very easy.

Condo was a great way to save $ on meals, and easy access to the resort's two outdoor gas grills made cooking simple. Pool clean and two hot tubs. Pool closed early though - 9pm -10pm Adults only and @ 10pm it was closed & covered. Went tubing down the Gore river (from Lionshead) and took Gondola ride. An hour's drive to Glenwood Springs for rafting and their Adventure Park. Took gravel road to Piney Lake = beautiful. Great stay / great trip!

Description
Nestled in the heart of Vail Village is the recently rebuilt, family-owned Tivoli Lodge, a luxury ski resort known for years for providing friendly, caring, personal service. There are 66 spacious, new hotel rooms offering a choice of mountain or village views, many with fireplaces, and the Peter Seibert Suite serves up stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains. The entire hotel is wireless, and other amenities include - meeting rooms, a fully-equipped fitness room, two outdoor hot tubs with mountain views, underground parking and ski storage. The luxurious and spacious lobby offers stunning mountain views and is reminiscent of a plush, lodge-style living room with over-sized chairs, leather sofas, floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and small wine bar. The new European-style architecture blends perfectly into the surrounding natural environment with unobstructed views of Vail's golden Peak ski area. As the most visited, top ranked ski resort in North America, it's easy to envision Vail as a place to just ski, ski, and ski some more! Being just a block from Vail's main access point, the Vista Bahn ski lift, and a slightly longer walk from both the Golden Peak and Riva Rahn chairlifts, Tivoli Lodge is ideally situated to make your Vail ski vacation unforgettable. As if the centralized location isn't enough, they also offer skiers a valet ski and boot storage to make your transitions on and off the mountain as easy as possible. Being a ski town, Vail locals will tell you there are two seasons: snow, and the rest. Don't be fooled: "the rest" has a lot to offer. For example, when temperatures are soaring around the nation, Vail, at 8,250 feet above sea level, hovers comfortably in the mid-70s. Summer recreation options include everything from the highly intense: jeeping, rafting, kayaking, downhill mountain biking, rock climbing, and paragliding; to the more relaxing: balloon rides, horseback riding, fishing, golf, hiking, and tennis. You'll find Vail offers endless adventure, regardless of the season, and that the town is always bustling with a diverse and lively array of recreational and cultural offerings.

They do not get much nicer than this. Just a wonderful place to stay. The staff was nice and accommmodating. They worked hard to make sure everything was right. The room with a view of the mountian was nice with good bed and large bath. The owners live on the property and seem to always be in the lobby along with Speed their chocolate lab to greet their guests Pride of ownership really shows

Service was fine. For the price, you get what you pay for. My room smelt funny...But it was convenient to crash alone for a night.

it was hot. the heat definitely works. the hot tub also works, but it's not as hot as the room. the window opens and they supply small electric fans. the shower also works. it's easy to get to the bus, and it's probably pretty cheap. this entry is entirely serious.
