This hotel was so well appointed I hardly thought I was in a hotel. Friendly, knowledgable staff made this short stay a real treat. Breakfast far surpassed the usual Continental fare. Never having been to Telluride our stay here made us want to return. We only wished there had been more snow!

Perfectly located with transportation available at any time to all skiing facilities. Rooms are comfortable and staff is helpful. Limited on-site meals, but easy walk into town and many great choices.

Mountainside Inn is an affordable, 83 room hotel located in the town of Telluride along the San Miguel River. The Mountainside Inn offers hotel rooms, with or without kitchenettes, one bedroom suites and a riverside 3 bedroom condo– a variety of room types and pricing at one location. On site amenities include a large outdoor hot tub, free wireless Internet, laundry facility, ice machine, vending machine, on-site parking and pet rooms are available. Nestled in a box canyon surrounded by majestic 13,000-foot peaks of the San Juan Mountains, Telluride is a beautiful outdoor recreation area in winter and summer. Minimum age required at check-in is 21. Check-in location is 330 W Pacific Ave. The front desk is open from 8am-6pm during regular season with shortened hours during off-season. Check-in is 4pm. Check-out is 10am. If you arrive after the office has closed for the day, you will find a key packet with your name on it inside the lock box located next to the front door. Packet will contain map, keys for your unit and parking permit. For after-hours emergencies, please contact the manager on duty at 970-708-2407. Housekeeping only includes departure cleaning. The 20.4 percent tax allocated breakdown is as follows- 12.4 percent city and 8 percent reservation processing fee.

Having made a wrong turn and thus arriving later than I had hoped, the first impressions of the place were not favorable: difficult to find, fairly dark around the budilings, small parking lot was full, office was closed (there's a box outside next to the office door with named envelopes holding your keys and room number). Once inside, the room was pretty basic, and the limited lighting made it look a bit gloomy and creepy. But a fabulous dinner at the Thai restaurant Siam (two blocks away) turned everything around. And in the morning, the sun was streaming through the window, I had a nice view of the river, there were lots of walkers and joggers on the other side of the river, and I was feeling a lot better about the place.
It kind of feels like the motel your do-it-yourself great uncle might own. The carpeting is from the hardware store; if the bathroom linoleum needs to be patched, well, just find a pattern that's close enough (no reason to replace it all--the rest of it is still good...); why bother putting pictures on the wall--the paint's clean. And that's it. It was a very plain but totally clean and fresh-smelling place to crash. The coffee in the front office was pretty good, the young man behind the counter was helpful as can be in orienting me to the town, and...well, you're in Telluride, why complain? If you are heading to Telluride with a buddy to spend your winter days skiing or summer days biking and don't need any frills at the hotel (including any food or beverages), this is a reasonable option.

This is our first in Telluride. And we enjoyed our stay at the Inn at Lost Creek. It's clean and the stuffs are very friendly. Perfect location in Mountain Village. The only thing could be improved is their internet service and if the room could be slightly bigger.

The whole family loved this hotel. Ski in Ski out with overnight Ski valet. Had both breakfast and lunch at their Restaurant which was also conveniently right off the lifts. The staff was great at helping us with all the winter-sports needs. Telluride was a short (and fun) gondola ride away. We will definitely return.

We were in Telluride for one night on a weekend trip to see Colorado fall colors. The colors were spectacular, the hotel is beautifully restored with new upscale furnishings. Did not eat dinner at the hotel but the breakfast was very good. Only problems were the parking is not on location and we were awakened several times during the night by loud partying on the street. Stay on the back side of the hotel to avoid the noise. Overall great experience.

This was our second time at this hotel and we enjoyed it very much! The location is perfect - steps away from the Gondola to take you into Telluride with a beautiful view along the way!
The rooms are comfortable and clean. Our only complaint is that there is no elevator if you have someone in your party that requires this option.

You get all the benefits of mountain views with free gondola service to town. What a way to travel.

The Resort Fees were a surprise...

The hotel was nice and conveniently located. The service was very good and the staff was friendly and attentive. The spa and fitness center are great.
The rooms, while a good size - have thin walls. This presents a problem when the people next door are talking and laughing until 3 in the morning.
Upon checking out - you will be informed of a delightful resort fee that they didn't inform you of when checking in. I normally don't mind paying for these if I know about them in advance - pretty cheezy behavior and totally not necessary.

The Lumiere was a great experience. The staff was friendly and super helpful. They offered suggestions to the Telluride night life without asking. The concierge helped my wife and I find a great snowshoeing experience as well. It was great to walk out the front door to the slopes. This made snowboarding amazing especially for someone like myself who is a beginner. The Little Bar service was great with phenomenal sushi and drinks. Very friendly staff. Can't wait to go back. We stayed in a studio this time a one bedroom will be the way to go. Awesome stuff.

We stayed here for two nights in September. Great location in the Mountain Village. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed. The best part was the service. Every staff member we encountered was helpful and happy. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Super close to the free gondola, which will take you right into town.

We were happily greeted with a lovely room with a balcony at the Hotel Columbia. The appointments were high quality and the room, though slightly small, afforded gorgeous views of Telluride with huge windows. The bed -- oh man -- and the bedding -- SO comfortable. They have obviously devoted a lot of attention to the remodel of this old hotel. It is just across the street from the gondola. I was concerned that this proximity would be noisy but it was not. It was only convenient.On the negative side, we woke up without hot water the morning after our stay. Actually, we woke up to children screaming and storming the halls, which I will justly blame on the parents rather than the hotel. When we called the front desk about the hot water situation, we reached [...], who said he hadn't heard of any problems with the hot water but would check on it. 15 minutes passed and [...] did not bother to get back to us. We called again and reached him. Casually, he stated that he had heard that there was a plumber in the building and he "assumed" the plumber was addressing the hot water issue; that we should wait 10-15 minutes to see if it got fixed. So we went to complimentary breakfast -- which was delicious -- at the Cosmo restaurant in the lobby -- un-showered. When we returned, the hot water was restored. We didn't object to an old hotel's occasional plumbing snafu, but [...]'s service was decidedly cavalier and completely unhelpful.When he asked us how our stay was as we were checking out, we politely mentioned that the stay was nice except for the hot water and the children situations. Defensively he retorted something along the lines of a shrug and "well, that's how it goes." Unimpressive.

Aspen St. Inn in Telluride was Ok

The room was fine...a little odd how the toilet was separate from the bathroom, but no big deal. The breakfast scene was pretty basic (the ambience was pretty plain) and while they had a chef to make breakfasts to order (omelettes, etc)...they were just ok.
I was also surprised that they didn't try to do anything a little extra...like putting some cookies out to snack on when you got back in the kitchen, etc. But, All in all a great location (right in town and close to Gondola.

Great Stay, Perfect Location

After much searching of various web sites, we decided to rent a townhome from this management company. Telluride is a bit confusing with regard to where to stay. You have a choice of staying in the Mountain Village or in the town of Telluride. Both offer advantages, but it is hard to figure it out over the internet. We called and spoke to an agent who spent a long time helping me figure out my choices. We finally decided to rent a home at the Villas at Tristant. Before arrival, we called to get check-in instructions as we would be arriving late. The agent gave us a code to the unit, so it was really easy. The unit was beautiful - log construction with great views, hot tub, decks, and garage. The kitchen was really well stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes. We called the management company several times to ask about restaurants and stuff to do and they were always very helpful. The only problem was that they were only in the office until 6 or so. I would rent from this company again.

Luxe accommodations on a bodacious mountain

The room is spacious (great for bulky ski gear) and luxurious, the service is phenomenal (even with a two am arrival), and the location is perfect. The hotel is in the heart of mountain village, a stone's throw from the gondola system, and it's true ski-in, ski out living. They get your boots on in the morning, finish the day with coffee and cookies, and everywhere people are smiling. 'Wish the hot tub was outdoors, but the fire pit made up for it. The mountains are steep, the terrain is varied, and the view stretches all the way to Utah. Can't wait to go back!
