I had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was super and the room was excellent. I loved the balcony and the view of downtown Denver. Location was close to shopping, eating and nightlife. One of the valet attendants told me that the hotel was a playboy bunny hotel back in the day. Not sure if that's true but great history. I didn't see any bunnies while I was there but the roof top pool was a bonus. The restaurant Ralph's was great food and a great meeting place for business. Overall I was very happy with the stay.

I was on the 10th floor of the Hyatt with a view of the Colorado Convention Center (and the giant blue bear peering into it) and was bothered by the dinging of the train bells. Also, there was no mini fridge and the towels were kind of bare.
Other than that, the bed was comfortable and the room had good lighting.

The room didn't have a mini frig which would have been nice for the money that I paid. The restaurant was only open until 10 and the bar was closed at the same time if they didn't have enough customers. The bed and the pillows were really nice but other than that I will not be going back. The amenities were not that great. The staff was very friendly. But the hotel is old and it shows.

Great Location, Friendly Staff!
-
CollegeGrads
- Aug 3, 2011
We are recent college grads that stayed for 4 nights on vacation. The location was perfect, just 1 block away from the 16th St. Mall and a free trolley stop. We were also a reasonable walk from the Capitol building, a great restaurant district on 17th Ave, all the shops/eats on 16th Street, and close to several Denver "B" cycle stations-a great way to get around the city! It was also really easy to use the free trolley to get to LoDo and the Highlands neighborhood for the Denver Aquarium, Farmer's Market on Saturday morning, and much more! A lot of our activities were cheap or free, and the hotel staff was very helpful in giving us directions around town, as well as great (reasonable) selections for places to enjoy local food.
The hotel itself was so much more than we expected for the price. The hotel was very clean, the neighborhood was great (aka close to food, entertainment, and very safe). Also, the Comfort Inn is a "sister hotel" and connected to the Brown Palace Hotel-a gorgeous and historic building. A huge benefit of staying at the Comfort Inn is that you also have access to the knowledgeable staff at Brown Palace as well.
The free breakfast was a little disappointing-the fruit was frequently less than appealing and the selection was small, but it was free. (Try the Delectable Egg just a few blocks away for a great breakfast.) Some of the remodeling in the hotel also didn't make sense- the towel rack was INSIDE the shower in our room, but the whole experience exceeded my (rather picky) expectations. Also, despite our room facing a rather busy street, the room was very quiet at night!
Bottom line: Great location, fantastic staff, clean room. A great buy!

Good but not great.

I last stayed at the Brown Palace in the early 1980's, and the hotel is much as I remembered it . The ambiance was very nice. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff were pleasant. Electrical supply (1 outlet) at the desk is inadequate for a business trip, and the pillows could have been better. While the hotel got the big things right, it missed on the small things. The coffee bar in our room had only one cup, so my wife and I had to take turns; the bathoom had a bath mat the first night, but not the second (I did check to ensure that it wasn't mixed in with the towels); when my wife an I returned to the room at 4:00 p.m., it had not been made-up (I had to call the front desk); turn down service included chocloates the first night (when we were in the room), but not the second (while we were out for dinner); we had to wait 20 minutes for the valet to pull our car out of valet parking (and I was one of only two guests waiting). Dinner (both service and food) in the Ships Tavern was good. The hotel was good, but I expected more for a venerable and iconic hotel.

Happy traveler

Our daughter's college graduation prompted our visit to Denver. The hotel staff was courteous, professional. Room, bed was comfortable, clean.
We opted to enjoy the breakfast buffet one morning and were disappointed that the watermelon tasted spoiled, even though the other fruit items were fresh. The potatoes were dry & flavorless. Oatmeal was bland. Unfortunate for a fine hotel.

Had a great room and location is convenient for cabs, rickshaws, and lots of dining nearby. When we were checking in they didnt have a room available for us yet and we checked in well after check in time. After a long day running around and being almost nine months pregnant, we were a little disappointed that we had to hang out and find something else to do until the room was ready. Fortunately we didn't have to wait too long and the hotel was crazy busy with concert.

Salsa dancing diva!
- Nov 28, 2010
The customer service was fine, the staff was nice. I stayed here for one night because I made a quick trip to Denver. I was working out in Wyoming and desperately needed to get back to the city. I went salsa dancing at the RUMBA! Great salsa place, people are always nice, drinks are great! Back to the Ramada, it's a little run down and the elevator scared me a bit, it's slow and made me question where the working/certification permit to operate was at. The room was clean and just right for a one night stay. OF COURSE before booking this hotel I double checked on [@] to make sure this hotel wasn't on the bedbug list! OH and the best part is, it's cheap and you get an amazing view of the city! I especially loved that!!! ANd the hotel is literally 2 minutes away from the downtown area!!!!(another big plus)

- May 17, 2012
The staff is eager to please. The Location is near the Convention Center and the 16th Street shopping mall and not too far from the gallery district. Lots of nice restaurants around.
Had a huge room with kitchen & living area.
The car concierge figured out how to allow me to attend a late meeting and still get to the airport via a very reliable limo service.
The Restaurant "Harry's" was just OK not exceptional.
I opted for the ecological saving of keeping my towels. I would have liked it if they did empty waste=basekets with that option.
I will definitely stay at the Magnolia again in Denver, I do not like the extra large hotels & chains.
I really enjoyed my visit to the Denver Art Museum.

Great Location, but expensive hotel. Was nice but not super clean as I would have expected. Very friendly staff, except for one girl. Spa is right next door! Very friendly at the spa, would definately recommened the spa to everyone! If you stay in the hotel you get 10% off spa services! The beds are very hard. My husband and I had a very hard time getting to sleep. Also you can hear everything from the street in your room. We were on the 3rd floor and still heard everything.

The best part about the hotel is the service. Everybody was always happy to assist and help. The hotel has a shuttle that takes you to the main areas like Downtown, the 16th Street Mall, etc.. There are plenty of places to eat around the hotel.
I will book it again.

Beautiful room, hard bed.

We went for our first night away from our toddler to this hotel, and its beautiful all around. Modern styling, good views (even on the east side), and well equipped room. The bathroom was the highlight with a rainfall shower large soaking tub, lighted undermount sinks, and an LCD tv built into the mirror. Room itself was also very nice, though the remote to the TV didn't respond very quickly, and unfortunately the bed was far too firm for either of us. We tossed and turned all night, and I was also saddled with pillows that collapsed down into nothing (the better half brought hers from home). The staff was very helpful and restaurant was great for breakfast, and while we would recommend this hotel, the bed kept this place from being 5 stars. For the amount of money we paid, a sleep number bed would've been nice...

The hotel staff was awesome. They greeted me with a smile and had my best interest at heart! The bathroom was a bit small for me to get in and out of but it was ok. A bit of bug trouble but not much. But all in all it was nice!

Denver was a last minute detour that we didn't originally budget for so when started looking for a hotel not too far from the main parts of Denver we decided to save $25 a night by staying here rather than the ramada inn downtown. The hotel is easy to get to right off the freeway. It's not in the greatest neighborhood and is one of those places that rent by the month. The rooms had that old musty hotel smell, the carpet was sticky so we wore shoes or flip flops at all times. Sheets smelled clean and the room itself was clean so that was a plus. If ur looking for a cheap place to stay then be ready to get what you paid for. Another plus was that it wasn't loud surprisingly even though it was near the freeway and of course it was easy to get to and only a 10min drive from downtown Denver.
