Crested Butte Lodge and Hostel is one of the nicest in the world and our guests continue to tell us so. Built in 1997, the Lodge is a beautiful, modern facility that is spotlessly clean and very comfortable, perfect for friends, families, groups, and individuals. Our friendly staff is available to help you with your travel plans including where to eat -if your not cooking in- what side of the mountain to ski first or what Mt. Bike trail should not be missed. We are located in Historic Downtown Crested Butte. There is a shuttle available every 15-20 minutes that goes to Mt. Crested Butte, and the ski area. here in downtown Crested Butte you will find wonderful shops, beautiful architecture, amazing views and great people. There is departure cleaning only. Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 10am. If you are arriving after hours, please call 1-970-349-7685 or 1-800-451-5699 to make prior arrangements. With beautiful views of Mt. Crested Butte, the Crested Butte Lodge and Hostel are only a three-minute walk to the shuttle for the lifts.

We were on the top floor and so there were no noises being in the upper level. I was told that people in the lower level did hear a lot of noise.
Our apartment was great. Put together very well.

We rotate our menu daily offering, Ham & Cheese Strata, Upside-down Apple French Toast, Banana Nut Belgium Waffle, Italian Frittatas, Mixed Berry Stuffed French Toast and Hash Brown Pie to name a few. Breakfast is also served with fruit, fresh juice and plenty of fresh roasted local coffee. We are proud to serve “Camp 4 Coffee”. Camp 4 Coffee has become a Crested Butte tradition since 1993 when they started serving coffee to locals. We are always happy to assist you in directing you in all the activities Crested Butte has to offer. A stay at The Elk Mountain Lodge is like being a member of the Innkeepers extended family. The recent renovation of this historic miners hotel still leaves the old charm of the turn of the century. The Elk Mountain Lodge is nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood surrounded by historic residences, yet only two blocks from the Crested Buttes main street, Elk Avenue, two blocks from the shuttle to Mt. Crested Butte Ski Area, and four blocks from the groomed Nordic ski trails. Most guests who fly in for their stay at the lodge don't bother with car rentals because everything is so convenient. The staff at the lodge is always available to give guests suggestions for the best local off the beaten path special places in the surrounding Rocky Mountains. Front Desk Hours of operation are from 7am-9pm daily.

Description
Front desk hours are 7 AM to 10 PM. Children age 7 and older are welcome at the adult rate. The Ruby of Crested Butte was originally built as the Crystal Inn in 1994 by a couple looking to retire from long careers in Texas. Soon after moving here, however, they opened a Radio Shack, started a small telecom service business, and opened an antique shop - some of the fabulous antiques you find at The Ruby are from her personal collection. After six years, they decided it was finally time to focus on retiring, and they shut down the BandB operations, built another house down the street, and only opened the Crystal Inn to their friends and family. In late 2004, Chris and Andrea purchased the property and The Ruby was born. Many guests ask about the origin of the name Ruby. Some guess that it was based on the majestic Ruby Mountain Range located just west of Crested Butte and the source of numerous mining era stories. Others think the name is based on the unmistakable ruby red color of the building itself. The real reason, however, is closer to our hearts - it is a celebration of the life of Ruby Elkourie, Andreas grandmother, who passed away shortly before we opened. Ruby herself was a hard working and colorful character who loved the outdoors and walked everywhere. She genuinely cared for people, knew practically everyone, and lived by the motto that - a stranger is just a good friend you have not met yet. She is the embodiment of what we love about this town and our vision of The Ruby – Colorful, Authentic, and Connected. Truly Crested Butte.

Description
Enjoy the ambience of a European alpine lodge with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Located in the Historic District of Crested Butte, one block from the free ski shuttle and close to downtown. Our 21 comfortable rooms have phones and wireless internet access and private, recently renovated bathrooms with hair dryers. The pillowtop beds are furnished with triple sheeted duvets and down pillows. We offer a choice of either smaller reasonably priced rooms with one queen bed, or more spacious rooms with one king bed or one queen and one double bed. To enhance the feeling of relaxation our rooms do not have televisions although there is a TV in the upstairs sitting area. Start each day with our hearty homemade continental breakfast served fireside in our cozy lobby - and after your days activities unwind in our outdoor hot tub or sauna. Check-in is at 2 00 PM. Guests planning to arrive before or after this time must contact the property at least 48 hours prior to arrival to receive special check-in instructions. As a bed and breakfast property, the Front Desk hours will vary guests should contact the property to find out more information.
