Our stay was a total of three nights. After the first night, the cleaning staff would remove the dirty linens and did not remember to replace them. Otherwise very quiet, clean and all staff welcoming and hospitable. Would definitely stay here again. We spent our days exploring the local attractions in fantastic weather.

THE HOWARD JOHNSON EXPRESS INN WAS CLEAN, NOTHING FANCY. IT WAS A GOOD VALUE FOR ITS PURPOSE WHICH WAS TO SHOWER AND SLEEP. THE STAFF WAS VERY ACCOMODATING AND FRIENDLY.

The hotel was newely remodeled. Neat and clean my only complaint is the continental breakfast only has muffins, and cereal, and the Pool was ridiculously small, and you had to go outside across a breezeway to get to it, in a seperate building...not great in the winter months...and wind. =(

the place is great! so is the bar and food! good amenities! but if you have several bags don't count on the service to help you with them. you apparently need to get your own bag cart also. they also like to charge you for random items you didn't purchase. so watch your statements and give them a phone call and hopefully they'll take care of it for you!

This hotel was nice and cheep, the staff was really friendly and helpful and the beds were super comfy! It is located right by one of the highways so it is easy to get to other locations in Colorado Springs.

I would absolutely stay here. The value is incredible for the location and the amenities. Room was very clean, quiet. It was nice to relax in the pool and hot tub after a long day of work. My only wish: a small refrigerator.

Desk clerk gave us a friendly welcome when we entered the lobby.
We were only here over night becuase we attended the Balloon Classic on Labor day. My family enjoyed the indoor pool after an afternoon out sight seeing and dinner at the Cracker Barrell.
We REALLY would have appreciated a separate dvd player! We rented 2 movies for late night viewing and I forgot to pack my laptop. Conveniently close to I 25, restaurants, Cave of the Winds, etc. Clean.

Super nice staff, large easy-to-live-in rooms, free big hot breakfast, nice pool, close to everything, and extra stuff like toothpaste, free internet ( that worked really well) and free dinner 4 times a week. The place is generous. My only complaint was the night time noise. It attracts a younger crowd that likes the night! ...But they offered a different room that was quieter and some earplugs. I would stay again.

Front desk staff was friendly, but not exceptionally knowledgeable about places to eat near the hotel. When we asked the clerk about a good place for pizza, he responded "You want pizza to eat"?. Uh..... yeah,to eat.He highly recommended Pizza Hut, but we didn't want something we could get at home. Finally decided we would set out on our own to find pizza,which we did. The hotel is older,and a little run down but ok.The pool looks like it hasn't been used in awhile,and is in the process of being painted. It is centrally located to Garden of the Gods and other attractions in the area.Free Bkfst was decent.Coffee,cereal,bread and donuts.I don't know if we would stay there again or not.It would probably depend on the rates.

The hotel was OK. Good if you are traveling with pets and want something relatively inexpensive. The room was fairly clean - just needed updating. The carpet consisted of a large patch - and there were burn holes. Didn't really feel it was very clean - but OK. The bathroom was OK - clean and everything there -shampoo, soap - what you would expect. The room was exactly what I reserved - and the staff seemed friendly and helpful. I would recommend it unless you are looking for a 5 star hotel - because this isn't it.

No curb appeal. The pool was not inviting. The door to the room stuck and was difficult to open. The room was dated and could use a little make over. The cleaning staff (over)used a spray every time they cleaned the room making it seem like there was something to cover up (and maybe there was). It suited our needs. A place to sleep at 1/2 the price of other area Hotels

I went to CS for a barbershop singing convention. Didn't want to pay the $100+ for a hotel in downtown so... Good place for the price I paid. Just needed a cheap place to spend a couple nights. The room right next to mine was a smoking room which disturbed me, and I was only there at night to sleep. The "breakfast" was not that great, cheap muffins and cereal.

Very affordable and a good location. It was nice to have a coffee maker in the morning for my Java, however it had it's quirks. Glad I tested it the night before and figured out it's uniqueness.
My biggest complaint is that the carpets were dirty. Everything else was acceptable for ONE night. PIKES PEAK made this hotel worthwhile, considering I was only there to SLEEP & SHOWER.

My son and I decided to take an overnight fishing trip in the Monument/Colorado Springs area last moment. As it was the final weekend before most kids have to go back to school, and end of summer break for most, the hotel we usually stay at was booked .
We gave Crestwood Suites a try. The staff was nice, the room clean. Not a noisy place as I had been told. We had a room that faced West, looking right at the Mountains. Beautiful. There is a bike/walk path on the west side too, and a small stream.
With all the comforts of home, we will stay here again.

The staff is very nice and personable but the weight room is very outdated, their computers for checking in are always so slow, and the hotel connection for free wi-fi is horrible. I've stayed at this hotel 3 times and have always had horrible connection and long wait at checking in. I am probably not going to stay there again because the price for the hotel is also rather high and because of connection. I had to go to Starbucks down the road just to get some internet connection for some work related issues.

It really wasn't as clean as it should have been. All the furniture was so old & tacky. They had a menu for food from the grill there, but there is no longer a grill there. One pool is closed down. Could not find local channels for ABC, CBS and NBC on tv. No channel list in room. The whole place is so worn down. It does not look kept up. It really turned me off of Days Inn. I don't think I will ever stay at one again. I will stick with Best Western. They have always been grest.

What most of the other reviews have said is really true!!The hotel door handle was difficult to open/close and you could actually see out the crack between the door frame and the door. The carpet was sooooo dirty that our shoes stuck to the carpet.Our socks were so dirty that we couldn't get the stains out when we returned home--even with bleach! The spare toilet paper roll had previously been dropped into water and had dried with pink stains on it from the paper covering. Our kleenex ran out the first night and wasn't replaced until three days later.bathroom had mold. We did not feel comfortable leaving our suitcases in the room while we when site seeing--so every day we loaded our suitcases back into the car so nothing was stolen. Of course, they have a sign that states they are not responsible for any lost or stolen items in this run down neighborhood. nice staff and decent breakfast offered.

Hotel was an absolute sty. Bathroom was filthyand the exhaust fan didn't work. No screen on the window either. Carpeting was sticky and nasty. Security door on side of building didn't close all the way, wifi in room was hit or miss and had to get new room keys twice because they didn't work. We pd. 65.00 a night and if I could give it no stars I would. Very dissatisfied.

Hotel was quiet, clean, and cheap, but the carpets smelled a bit stale and we could have gotten the free breakfast from any vending machine.

Great location, fair place to stay

Reasonable place to rest after a long drive. We were visiting the AFA, so the location was great. Room was not dirty, but one night was enough for me. There were some ants in the room, but the room was on the 1st floor so it could not be helped??? The Air Con was very loud. Also the tables were sticky and toilet not cleaned very well. The free wi-fi signal was very weak.

It would have nice to have ironing board in the room, but we were able to borrow one from the front office. We had a long trip & needed to have items pressed before going to AFA.

Hotel was good. The pool was not open until April 1st. Quiet and great Location. The location was the best. Easy to get to and close to many attractions. I was sad the pool was not open. We were looking forward to that.

spent so little time there, but was very comfortable... the TV was somewhat out of focus and not functioning well, but was not a necessity for my stay.. was cool and comfortable.

Very Clean. I had read reviews of Super 8 Motels in Colorado Springs and they were called flea bags, not so with our accomodations. Clean friendly staff. Very pleased.
