The beds were the most comfortable of any hotel in the area at this level (I've stayed in 'em all). The room is clean, the personnel were curteous and helpful. They seem to care if the room is OK or if you need anything as evidenced by a call from the check in desk an hr after being in the room. This is my go to hotel of choice when I need to stay near work.

good hotel, clean rooms, extremely accommodating staff, overall fantastic.
watch out for (privacy/security): rooms don't have drapes so the master window is always partially transparent. the master window had a small shrubbery/partition and was open to the main road (security !!!). and although the neighborhood seemed safe, it was challenging leaving a laptop etc open on the table as it could potentially be seen by trespassers.

Stayed here for just a weekend trip, but it was great to be able to take my large, 90 lb dog and not have to settle for a scummy hotel. Didn't get a chance to check out the pool or rest of the hotel, but our room was clean and comfortable.

Really went the extra mile!

My wife and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary in Monterey CA and stayed here the last night on our way back to the airport. The reviews I read about this place were spot on. The staff was very friendly and even gave us a free room upgrade for our anniversary! The hotel is a bit old now, and the room we stayed in could probably use a fresh paint job, but very comfortable and reasonably priced. I would probably stay here again if it were a little closer to the places that we actually went to while in that area.

We used this hotel for sleeping after spending the days and evenings with our son and his family. The location was very convenient for us. The king bed was very comfortable but the air conditioner blew right over us so we had to turn that off for the night. As with most Quality Inn hotels, they are not very generous with towels but it was sufficient. Free wifi was reliable. Breakfast choices were minimalistic but passable. I don't usually eat hard boiled eggs with my bacon or sausage and tater tots, but that was part of the selection. The upper floor room was very quiet with double pane windows keeping out street noises. I would book there again when we visit our grandkids next.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Romm was clean and bed was very comfortable. Was disappointed no pool and the spa was closed for maintenance. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

We travel to Sunnyvale several times a year to be with our son and his family. This time we chose the Quality Inn. We've stayed at other properties in the past via other online providers. This property was nothing special but was very convenient and quite comfortable for our needs. We sleep and shower there and that's it. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean. Towels provided were plentiful and clean. (Why do so many properties pretend to say they are taking care of Mother Earth by not laundering towels if hung up and then provide a whole new set anyway?) The free breakfast had ample selections and was quite good. Free wi-fi was dependable.Given that the entire property could use a makeover it was clean. Just a couple of nits could have improved the stay - the toilet had a leak and ran for about 3 seconds every 15 seconds. We just closed the door and all was good. And the price was right.
I keep this hotel on my list and book again but after we go through a whole rotation of other properties in the area.

For the price it was not bad. I did a lot of research and on those nights I stayed this place probably had the best value especially when you get free Internet (though a bit slow and flaky) and a decent free breakfast.
That said, it could use new paint and carpeting. I realize we're not talking about a 4-star hilton or anything like that, but I just want to feel confident little critters aren't jumping on my feet when walking around barefoot.

If you like getting stuck in an elevator

weather was very warm for this time of year my room was extremely hot when I entered immediately set thermostat to 60 which it never did put fan on and left came back around 9 pm tried to use the elevator wasn't working went to front desk for assistance supposedly fixed the problem I enter both doors close I press the button for 2nd flr and nothing happens I had to use the red button for emergency use finally someone fixed the elevator and I arrived on the 2nd floor hot and sweaty and angry in room I had to open the window all night to get enough cold air to sleep through the night next day had to tackle the elevator to the first floor never never again will i stay at a comfort inn no thank you

Not worth the money

I came in at 10:00 PM and the front desk was supposedly having computer problems with another person checking in. The personnel gave the appearance that they were new and didn't know how to use a program. It took a half of an hour to get checked in and because I had prepaid[...] they only had to pull my name. When they got to me it took them less than 2 minutes to check me in. The refrigerator was so noisy I finally shut it off. The beds sheets were scratchy and the pillows very lumpy. I would have been better at the Motel 6 next door!

I chose this hotel b/c the price is relatively cheaper than others, and they have kitchen for each room since we needed to warm up a milk for the baby.
The room was clean, space was not so vast but good enough for short stay for my family.

This is a reasonable value. The beds were just "ok", but everything else is nice. Not top quality, but I think it is a decent place to stay. Close to freeway. Little kitchenette is nice if you need it. Overall, I would stay here again....which I actually did.

I cooked beef chili for a 49ers tailgate party held on the following day. There was no teflon frying pan, but I was able to keep the ground beef from sticking to the pot.
There were plenty of electrical outlets for me to plug in my crock pot and my laptop computer at the same time. The Wi-Fi was easy to access and it ran at a decent speed.
The room had good sound insulation from frwy 237 outside.

Confortable and convenient but bad wifi

Spacious suite for a good price. Breakfast buffet was very good with a great selection. Room was slightly dated but immaculate. Comfy bed and pillows, fully equipped kitchen, free beer/wine and snacks in the evening. Only complaint was the wifi signal - it was very poor both in my room and in the lobby.

Traveling with Softball turnament teams: Kids were told to quite down or would be asked to leave the outdoor sports area at 7 o'clock (area closes at 9). Someone in the area was studing?????????? The kitchen area was not fulling stocked, asked front desk for a cookie sheet was told housekeeping was gone for the night and she could not leave the front desk to check the kitchen for one.

This is a well designed, well run hotel. I didn't need much from the hotel staff, but in my interactions with them they were just great. I appreciated the kitchen items were sterilized and rapped in plastic for the new hotel guest. Don't you wonder where those coffee cups have been in hotel rooms that don't sterilize and package them? No worries about that here.

Happy hour and breakfast was great - all the food was fresh and presented well, no tired chips/salsa for happy hour, fresh fresh fresh food for breakfast - including waffles.

receptionist was not friendly or welcoming. The room had horrible carpeting and very dirty. Bed frame was unsafe to walk around. If there was anything good about this hotel it was a quiet night. Maybe because I was the only visitor.

The hotel is basic and clean. It was quite good, pretty close to 101 but still silent inside. The breakfast was pretty bad. There was no milk either, just creamer.
It provides basic clean accommodation.

Stayed there due to it's proximity to job activities. It's only 5 minutes from several excellent restaurants in downtown Sunnyvale, and access to 101 is a cinch. Next door is Hobees Restaurant which serves a terrific breakfast (Denny's is also next door). The TV channel offering is extensive, though the room I was given this time didn't have a flatscreen. My only complaint is that the lobby smelled strongly of curry (which I've found is common in small hotels in the Bay Area). The rooms, though clean, updated and comfortable, allow noise to pass through with ease...every movement made next door or above me was noticeable. Management was very nice and accommodating.
