Room was comfortable except for the noise coming from above. Will most likely pick the top floors next time to avoid the noise; mostly people running around. Enjoyed the kitchenette. Need to stock more towels though...overall, made a good choice!!!!

We stayed at the Santa Maria Inn for Christmas eve night, since my parents house was all ready bursting with family for the holidays. The lobby was exquisitely decorated for the season, as was the restaurant inside. We were greeted with a pleasant smile and extremely helpful staff. Our room was on the bottom floor, the oldest part of the building. Though it had the feel of old Hollywood glamor, it was not gaudy or over the top. The restaurant was open until 10pm so we stopped in for a late night coffee and desert; it was so delicious and the wait staff very attentive. Though the room was quite antique (older carpeting and drapes) we didn't have much problem with noise from other guests, the environment (heat/cool), and there was a newer mattress on the bed so we were comfortable all night. What was most surprising was the shower the next morning; instantly hot water! We will definitely look into staying here again for any special occasion.

Although a bit off the highway and harder to find, the stay was uneventful. The "Sleep Number" bed was very comfortable despite me being a "Tempurpedic" fan. Stayed on the airport runway side, and the airplane sounds were never a nuisance. Staff was friendly and attentive.

We stayed while visiting family in Lompoc and were impressed by what we got for the price. Staff was extremely cordial. Room had wonderful contemporary touches. Bed was right mix of firm and soft. Continental breakfast was better than most that bare that title and food was promptly restocked.

We were there to attend a wedding. The hotal was very nice; clean, comfortable and quiet. We would stay there again. Only one thing we did miss was a pool. The kids would have enjoyed that.

We were visiting family for Thanksgiving and needed to stay close by.
This was right off the highway with easy access.
The room included a fully stocked kitchen with full-sized fridge. It even had a dishwasher!
They charge an additional $75 if you have a pet, but that's good for 1-6 nights (not per night).Definitely worth it!

The hotel was a little rundown. Old, dusty curtains and fixtures. Breakfast area of four small tables in lobby was way too small for hotel size. Biggest pluses were price, friendly staff, and convenience from freeway.

we arrived, checked in....the woman at the desk was unfriendly...barked out check out at 11! went to our room...strong cleaning odor, had to open the windows right away. The room was neat and orderly. The curtains needed repair, a few handles on the dresser were half broken, one lock on the window was broken, the bathroom has no outlets and an oversized shower liner (watch that you don't trip on the way out!). The lodge is on a main thoroughfare.....very very busy and noisy :(

I along with my wife stayed at this place during our visit to Pismo beach during the busy July 4th weekend. We reserved this place for two nights but were very disappointed at the room and cancelled our next day reservation. The bed spreads were not clean and everything in the room looked old and the room was smelling bad. TV was antique - 14 inch I guess and the picture was very blurry. Consider other reviews before deciding to stay over here.

the hotel was clean and comfortable. the staff was terrific and friendly. the continental breakfast was good and the coffee great. the only thing was the coffee pot in our room did not really fit the maker and water went everywhere.the location was ok not real close to town. i also like to sit when i put on my makeup and dry my hair and there was no where to do that.
i will stay there again next time we go to santa maria.

Description
Located just off highway 101 in Santa Marina, CA is the Rose Garden Inn. This quaint Inn offers easy access to the freeway, a beautiful pool, tennis courts, free parking and complementary food Monday through Thursday night. Complementary tea and coffee served in the lobby every morning. The central location of the Inn is always nice when in town for local activities or business.

Our Santa Maria overnight

We decided to save a little money by staying in a motel. We found that this motel had been around for a long while and lacked the normal feel of a modern hotel that we're used to. I went to the office to borrow a blow dryer and an ironing board, and although the man who checked us in the night before was welcoming and friendly, the woman, presumably his wife, in the office wasn't exactly that way. But the room was quite adequate.

The Rose Garden Inn was just right for a one night stay. The room size is ok and the bed was comfortable, but the chairs with the coffee table looks dirty and stained. The room has a musty odor. The vanity chair with cobweb underneath. The bathroom was clean but the sink was rusty, shower floor needs repainting. There was no exhaust fan but instead window needs to be opened with draft coming in. The location was very good, its was very near the freeway entrance very close to a restaurant.

Hotel in bad location. Room was suppose to be non smoking, it smelled of smoke. This is not a hotel you want to stay in. It is not much more than a flop house. [*]

horrible, there were no bathroom amenities. we had to ask for towels there were none in the room. had to ask for soap which they had none and had to ask for shampoo that they had. would not recommend this hotel to anyone it was way overpriced for what orbitz priced it for and what the hotel was asking for which orbitz charged twinty dallors more then the hotel. it was just a bad experience overall
