You get what you pay for. The room is solid and the free breakfast is cool. The location is near many things but the upkeep of the hotel as a whole should be improved. They were under construction.

In a slightly ropey area (wouldnt wander after dark) pool was closed throughout our stay, despite promise it would re-open on day 2!
We were in front part of hotel -traffic VERY noisy as it accelerated from lights, from 6am right through till after midnight. also on paramedic route so lots of sirens!
Breakfast pretty good though.

This hotel was close to downtown San Francisco. It was clean and had prefect basic continental. And it was affordable, relative to the other hotels downtown.

Staff were helpful with food and travel suggestions, and were very accomodating to help with luggage that the airline lost.
Shower curtain was moldy and ripped, other than that the room was clean and in good repair

Loud and uncomfortable

We had the best location within walking distance to public transit, bars, restaurants and the Castro. That's the only good part of this hotel, parking fills up and you either pay to park on the street or park in the handicap spaces. Is that even legal? Also the person above us had some sort of drug or mental condition. I say that because they would literally drag furniture around the room ALL night and day. I complained to the front desk because it was loud and constant. The front desk said they knew about it and would call him. So it stopped for a few hours and then in the evening and the whole second night it was the same thing. It's obvious they really don't care about their guests, such as noise, poor cleanliness, and crummy breakfast options, which is toast, coffee and plastic wrapped sugary bear claws. I would only recommend if location is the only thing that you care about and the price was low.

With one person working at the front desk it made it impossible to ask for anything. The man was slow and not helpful at all there's some homeless around but no big deal. This place is good if you don't plan to be at a hotel for a long period of time wouldn't recommend it and the continental breakfast is nothing special could have a little bit more of a selection. I wasn't impressed at all will never stay here again.

We really enjoyed this hotel. It was so convenient. We walked to & from the Orpheum, and felt safe, though had to be alert. We found parking two blocks away on the street. Our room was tiny, but had everything we needed including a refrigerator. The included continental breakfast was good. I particularly liked the friendliness of the staff.

No parking, prepare to search. Close to local transportation. The Bart was convenient. Farmers market is just across the street. This hotel was old and needed a good cleaning. It is good if you need a place to sleep and take a shower with shower shoes. If you are picky you should bring your own blankets and pillows.

Location within downtown

Oasis Inn was located at a prime area in the downtown. It had ample parking and structured well considering that its in a downtown area. The room was oddly shaped and there was no way of air circulation and there was no exhaust in the bathroom. The room had odors and the floor was horrible. Make sure you carry extra pair of flip flops to wear inside the room. Its a good hotel for the location and price, but I could not wait to checkout.

Booked room for one person. Ended up with 4 people on the trip. They charged me an extra $$$$ (price omitted) to get a room with a second bed when I arrived. I have booked a room for one person at other hotels and as plans change arrived with more, but i have never been charged. I do not believe the charge was fair as the way the front desk person explained to me.

I was there for 2 days. The room was extremely musty, small and the stairway unkempt.[...]The "continental break fast" was 2 stale muffins on a tray.As low as this place costed it was still a rip off. I would not stay there for free if I could help.Although the second day customer service was better it was too late.

It is what you pay for. The location in general is very good for getting around to everything, we were able to get to every comunity very easily and only 15 minutes from the airport. the community however is a bit schetchy at night. Don't leave anything visable in your car! It apears that people use the parking lot during the day like a park and ride for transit since parking in the city is EXTREMELY hard to find.

Shows, travel, business, or pleasure this is the place. Sleep Over Sauce is a unique, 9 room, boutique inn located in San Franciscos number one shopping and entertainment hub, Hayes Valley. We are located in the center of the city, in one of San Franciscos most lively neighborhoods. With the shopping in Hayes Valley, the shows and events in the Civic Center, and only a short walk to both the Castro and the Haight Ashbury districts, Sleep Over Sauce is truly in the heart of the action. The name, Sleep Over Sauce, comes from the location over the top of our award winning restaurant Sauce. Nate, Trip, and Matt Hosley, along with Chef Ben Paula opened Sauce Restaurant in 2004. In 2009, we were offered the chance to extend our hospitality to the fantastic space upstairs. Sleep Over Sauce is a modern city inn and the bar at Sauce is the heart of our operation, serving as our front desk for most of the day. Sleep Over Sauce has 9 rooms which can be rented individually like a traditional hotel. Most of our rooms have private bathrooms and we have a variety of room configurations, every room has at least a queen size bed, all are stocked with high quality oversized bedding and plush bamboo, Egyptian cotton blend towels for your comfort. Do you have a large group or family event in SF. Sleep Over Sauce is a fantastic home base. Whatever the occasion, we are always happy to host. With 10 beds in 9 rooms we can easily sleep 20. The common area, great room, can be transformed into a meeting space, living room, dining area, or whatever you want it to be during your stay. We can cater meals and room service from Sauce or host small parties or even larger dinners downstairs in the private dining room. Our restaurant is open from 5pm–2am daily and we serve dinner until at least midnight. Sleep Over Sauce is a great place to call home while in the city, we are always happy to cater to your needs. When we first got there It was a little funny because there was no front desk... You have to call the bartender to help you check in. The have a great lounge area for all the guest to mingle in with great snacks. The room was comfy but was a little small but the staff's personality really made up for it.
