I had business in Redding and Shasta Lake so this place was right in between and close to I5 and Market, a major NS thoroughfare in Redding.
Only negatives they ran out of forks for the free breakfast and the Internet was flaky for part of a day.
This was my second trip in two months and I'm going back in a month.

To do my mission in Redding I had to shuttle back and forth between Redding and Shasta Lake. This location is excellent, easy access to I-5. Staff was pleasant and helpful, breakfast was good, room comfortable. Down side, only a small shelf for counter space in bathroom and the shower control is difficult to adjust.

Service from employees was prompt and friendly. However, the facilities were old and dated. The full pressure shower, convenient location and decent price didn't quite overcome the curd filled pillows, cardboard filled mattress, antique tv, rancid coffee and the overcooked hard boiled eggs. The place was clean but because everything was worn it seemed dirty. I'll definitely step up and pay the extra to stay in an upgraded hotel.

We needed a reasonably priced hotel that met our standards of cleanliness and the Baymont Inn met those needs and more. It was also fairly close to Mercy Medical Center as we were in town for a family medical emergency. We will definitely stay here again if the need were to arise.

This hotel was great for what it was. I stayed one night only and checked in late. Translation: Very little inter-action with the staff. I had a great room, pretty clean, and the amenities were okay. They have an indoor heated pool which, for families is a plus in the winter time. Located next to many restaurants to choose from, also a plus for families.

I have stayed at this motel yearly for the last dozen years. It has improved a great deal over the years. The rooms are cleaner, the bathrooms updated and breakfast offers a much greater variety.

This hotel was ok....the beds were small for 2 people...the room was small but that's ok cause the price was good...the reception was nice but not always by the phone to transfer calls to the room, which was annoying...cleanliness was ok..Idk if I would stay there again it would depend on the price.

Outside of motel pretty beat up but was still hopeful. I had a person traveling with me in a separate room. My room was ok. The other room the door jam had been broken and weirdly repaired. He was afraid to sit on the toilet seat. My room had new tile in the bathroom the other room had old tile and he had no hot water in the morning. I cannot give this place a decent rating. Sorry.

We were in town to visit family. The hotel was alright for 1 night. But I will not stay at this hotel again. The other people there were too noisy and nothing was done about it. There was no remote control for the tv & when they brought us one it did not work. We programmed it but it would not stay programmed. The bathroom could have been a little more clean, it needs a deep cleaning not just a surface cleaning. Compared to other trips we have taken, this was not the worst hotel we have stayed at. If it's only for 1 night & you are not spending most of your time in the room other than to sleep, then I would recommend this hotel for the price is right.

Check in and out was quick and easy. Friendly staff. The hotel was completely booked the weekend we were there. The first morning we had absolutly no hot water brrrrrr! The next morning it was fine. Room was great, comfortable bed. Great for the price.

We stopped while driving through. It is right off the highway. The beds were comfortable. The hotel was being remodeled. Stores and restaurants were close by.

Spent one night here on a business trip - the staff were helpful as for some reason my Orbitz reservation hadn't entered their system, although I left my credit card information with them to cover the room, when I researched my account to see that Orbitz had charged my card, the hotel reversed it and connected with Orbitz to figure out the problem. Room was comfortable - had a work desk, couch/table and all the other amenities. More upscale than I had imagined. Only problem was the shower had temperature control issues, would get piping hot randomly (probably based on my neighbors water useage) but it was a bit alarming. Will definitely stay here next time and highly recommend.

WAS IN REDDING CA FOR A WEDDING MY SON WAS IN. DIDN'T REALLY HAVE MUCH TIME TO DO ANYTHING ELSE BUT WEDDING THINGS WITH THE FAMILY, BUT WE DID GET A CHANCE TO DO A LITTLE SWIMMING. THE BUFFET WAS VERY GOOD.
NOTHING BUT THE WEATHER.
VERY CLEAN, A NICE PLACE TO STAY, I WILL STAY HERE AGAIN IN AUGUST FOR ANOTHER WEDDING!

Holiday Retreat

We traveled to spend Christmas with our family and this was our first experience of staying in a hotel over a holiday. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and enjoyable; very clean. The hotel was located only a short distance from our family and was easy to find and access. The only thing we didn't enjoy was that the bathroom, although very large, did not have any counter space, which seemed strange for a hotel this nice. Overall we greatly enjoyed our stay here.

Great Location

We were in Redding to visit family when we had to get a hotel asap due to a sick family member. We found that the Quality Inn had nice clean rooms, friendly service and a nice breakfast including sausage and eggs. This location is great and is in ideal spot for "Kool April Nights". We definitely will return to this hotel.

The hotel name should read; "No Quality Inn " Instead of Quality Inn. Dirty (very!) bad, old rooms. The door had adout a 3/4 of an inch hole. The air condition old and and very noisy even though it works cannot let you sleep. The bathroom and the room furnitures are dirty.
The Wireless Internet connection is unreliable.

Clean, but older motel

Stardust was basically what I was expecting: a cheap, clean, older motel. Nothing stood out in particular as being wrong or extrodinary about my stay. I just needed a cheap place. My room was clean, with no obvious complaints. The walls were kind of beat up, but the bathroom tile was pretty new looking. Definitely not 5-star, but I would stay here again if I go through Redding.

We were there for a conference so we only used the hotel to sleep, the price was reasonable. As for the bathroom it could use some upgrading but other than that not bad.

Nice comfortable rooms comparable with other more expensive hotels nearby. Staff was very accommodating, I called the night before explaining I would be there an hour or so early and would be there very tired. They made sure my room was ready when I got there and was able to get rest before I had my meeting.

no hot water at sink, paid extra for private bath, they all have them. no micro wave that was part of upgrade price. don't know about other buildings but don't think we will be back.

when we got there, it was late, approximately midnight. The place was locked up, no one answered the desk bell, sign said no vacancy. Had to call 411 to get the actual hotel number, woke someone up (who was actually very pleasant) to get checked in. Room was dirty, beds were hard - an earwig crawled across the bathroom floor.......hotel appeared to be out of the late 60's early 70's - felt like I was in the twilight zone...

Easy check in, friendly front desk staff. The wireless access worked very well. The bed was just a bit too uncomfortable....it felt like I was laying on springs.

It was great! Very accomodating. Staff was always willing to help out. Housekeeping kept my room clean and tidy everyday.
Staff also assisted me with a couple of special requests.
I will stay there again whenever I return to the city.

The hotel is very well situated in downtown Redding, within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and pubs. It's an older property that has been renovated and is well maintained. Noting fancy, but quite acceptable. The continental breakfast was very minimal. It's easy to get around Redding to almost anywhere with a car, so location is not critical. We enjoyed the Sundial Bridge and a trip out to the old town of Shasta. If you are looking for good basic accommodations, you'll be happy with the Thunderbird.

Room was nothing special. It was fairly clean, and came with a microwave and mini-fridge. Room price was fairly inexpensive. Hotel location is about 5 minutes' drive from "downtown" Redding. There are 2 or 3 restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

My wife and I had a terrible stay at this motel. We arrived late (11:30 pm) and were too tired to ask for another room. The room is dirty. Dirt on the bathroom floor, shower head leaking, water dripping under the sink. [...]

Staff never smiled, made me feel like i was a burden to them not a wanted guest. Room was in need of repair. Pool was closed. The beds were unbelievably uncomfortable. We shortened our stay because we could not stay another night on those beds.

Overall hotel was good, even better than expected from one star. Room has a/c, fridge, microwave.
Hotel has Wi-Fi but you have to pay 2.99 per day for access.
