Best Western Ivy is a nice hotel for the price. The bed is comfy, and the staff is professional. It is centrally located in Napa. The room size is on the small side, and the breakfast isn't much. Overall, for the price, it's a great find.

Wine Train Weekend

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very close to the Wine Train station and the Ox Bow Market. They have a nice fire pit out back and a restaurant on the street with great appetizers. The noise level of the hotel was pretty loud. We could hear the guests next door, who seemed to be speaking normally. At night people walking in the halls were easily heard as well. Rooms are very clean and cute decore.

Was within walking distance of great resuarants. Motel was ok. Advertisements made it sound like poolside rooms were worth asking for....not. We got there at 2:45PM room wasn't ready until 3:00pm. Had to walk down the street and find a restuarant that we could use the restrooms. Lobby of the hotel said we couldn't use their bathroom.

We took a day trip to San Francisco, visited multiple wineries and restaurants.
We relaxed at the pool after the wineries, and visited the outdoor hot tub at night to warm up.
We visited the spa for couples massage and spa treatments and did an onsite wine tasting. It was much better than we anticipated and we bought a case of their Trinitas wine.
The room was great. We enjoyed the granite in the bathroom, double sink vanity, glass shower doors, private toilet area, small refrigerator and large closet.

Stayed one night on the concierge floor. Ate dinner at VIA in the hotel lobby. The food was great with excellent service. Excellent wine list and local micro brews. The room was immaculate the bathroom looked brand new. Very nice decor. The spa and pool looked nice but I did not have time.

My friend and I chose this hotel for a last minute trip to Napa Valley in early October because of the very few options available, this was the most economical and looked the nicest. I was pleasantly suprised that this hotel seems brand new (still had signs outdoors saying "Now Open" in Oct 2011), was tastefully and nicely decorated, and had a great feel to it. A large continental breakfast was provided each morning (including my favorite, make-your-own waffles). There was a heated pool that we discussed but never ended up being able to enjoy. The only drawback is that it is a little off the beaten path, out toward Napa County Airport. But I would gladly book again, it could not be beat for the price - and if we stayed more near Yountville, the prices would have been dramatically more.

I drove into Vina Bello and registered. All good. I then went to grab a parking spot. There is not enough parking! We had to park a fair ways away on the street and walk to our room. The room, although adverised as having wireless internet had NO internet. I was prepared to start getting cranky. But then I got inside the room. Absolutely beautiful. Plenty of special touches - coffee, wine, bottled water. Incredible bathroom and kitchen. Also a little out of town, so not walkable to anything.

Nice place to stay. Room was clean and updated. We only stayed a week-end and was out and about most of the time. Staff was courteous and friendly.

This property was extensively renovated in 2007 and is 2 miles from the California Conservation Corporation and Napa Valley College. Discovery Inn Napa, a Magnuson Hotels affiliate, located in the heart of Napa. This extensively renovated, property is located with walking distance of downtown Napa, the Napa Valley Wine Train, restaurants, COPIA, and the American Center for Wine, Food, and the Arts. The Napa Fair grounds are located just one block from the hotel. A short 10 mile drive to 5-star restaurants, wineries, hot air balloons, and health spas. This hotel also has satellite tv (with 100 channels) and free wireless internet access. Sorry, no pets accepted.

It was pretty lame, but it's a motel. I should've known. I still think it should have been less than $100. We wanted to save money and spend it on wine, but I'd rather have paid the $50 for a room at a better place closer to downtown.
