Great time with family!!

We stay at this hotel several (3-4) times a year. We've stayed at almost every hotel in Hotel Circle in the last 20 years and once we traveled a little farther out we found a jewel! The staff is always great, personable and ready to accomodate. Rooms are clean. Beds are clean & so comfortable you fall alseep fast. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. The hotel is close to great restaurants and not far from all of the touristy hot spots. We are hopefully coming back mid July. REALLY looking forward to checking in!!!!!

Pros: (bed) comfort, room size and cleanliness, breakfast bar.
Cons: a little noisy due to nearby highway traffic and room heating/cooling fan; lacked some amenities e.g. limited cable TV channels, extra soap.

Heritage Inn La Mesa

Primarily I went there to rest up from my long drive from Phoenix. I was a day early for my new job and wanted some quiet time to settle in before moving in to my new place. I was on a tight budget, so the Heritage Inn fit the bill. Everyone was very friendly and I was able to rest up before continuing with my trip. It's not luxurious, but for the price, it's safe and friendly.

Good place for families

I came here with my husband and 3 yr old son. It was very clean and convenient. The staff was awesome offering milk for my boy in the morning. This is a great family run business. Upon checking in it was made clear that if I needed anything I should just call. I did not find the place noisy, although it is on a busy street which I feel provided easy access to the 8. I will not stay anywhere else! If your looking for convenience that's slightly off the beaten path, come here!

Good Value/Far Drive from SD

This was our first time staying at a Rodeway Inn, so we do not have anything to compare it to. We were pleased with the size of the room, which included all the ammenities we needed: TV, fridge, microwave, iron, hairdryer, & we bar sink. Unfortunately there was no elevator, nor pool, and the continental breakfast could use some improvement.

We needed a motel that was close to a medical facility in that area. We were pleased to find exactly what we read in the other reviews, that it is a clean and quiet motel with nice sized rooms. It is close to shopping and eating establishments.

We went to San Diego to go to Sea World. Had a great time. At the hotel all the staff was nice and helpful. We needed something cheap and fast that was available. If we were going to go back to San Diego I would stay at Days Inn again...

The first room to which we were assigned wreaked of smoke, although it was a non-smoking room. The second room, also non-smoking, also had a heavy odor of smoke. We remained in that room but went to the store to purchase an aerosol and stick air freshener to make the room liveable. Although, it was conveniently located to San Diego State University, where we attended a basketball tournament, we would not stay at that motel again.

Normal level of hotel clean. Decent price. Not as many common amenities, such as shampoo, blow drier, etc., but if you pack wisely, it doesn't matter. The beds were the biggest issue, the sheets were clean, but the mattress was horrible. Old, creaky, sinking areas in the mattress led to a not so good night's sleep. Other than the mattress, it's not a spectacularly awesome place, but it was also not remarkably bad.

The Motel 6 La Mesa was kept very clean. However, there were no tissue boxes or shampoo and they did not even replace our toilet paper supply after the first night. This was inconvenient because we were only given two rolls to begin with! I guess we got what we paid for, but we were still amazed at the lack of basic things that we have come to expect from even the shabbiest motels we have stayed at. The location was very good and was right off of the highway. However, there were thin walls and this caused discomfort when we were trying to sleep.
