The hotel was nice, clean, the only issue I had was I could hear water from other bathrooms running in the walls at night or early morning and that woke me up many times early.

When taxi driver picked me up he asked why I had picked this location? He informed me that it was a bad location, drugs, prostitutes, etc. He was wrong! I never saw any of those things. It was a great place, near the freeway for easy access. My grandson was with me and he and I had a great time in the pool. We had it all to ourselves.

This room was what we expected. It was clean and comfortable. We had one issue when the shower head did not work. The front desk person wanted to argue about having it repaired. I persisted and got it repaired. All else was fine.

I usually have a hard time sleeping at hotels / motels but this place had me pleasantly surprised. My legs usually cramp for some reason after a stay at any place but I awoke without discomfort and rested. The room was clean and the television was a decent size (the only negative was slight as some channels were a bit "fuzzy" but not too "fuzzy"). I really liked the bathroom because it was large and had a more than adequate bath / shower. Plus the hostess was pleasant and charming, without seeming too attentive, if that makes sense. Defintely will come back here at this price.

We visited friends in Fresno. Both of us are California State University, Fresno. The location is excellent, close to restaurants and shopping centers. Unfortunately, it was too cold to visit Yosemite or Sequoia National Parks.
Next year, we hope to visit the parks.

Hotel staff were cheerful and helpful. Owner has done a really nice job with the interior and exterior decor/landscaping. Room was spacious & clean. Bed wasn't the best or the worst. Mattress a bit too firm unless you sleep on your back. OK for 1 night - couldn't sleep on it all week. Noise - good/quiet. Breakfast - continental breakfast bar w/waffle maker - ok. would stay here again for 1 night.

I read a few bad reviews about the hotel so I was a little nervous staying there, but my experience overall was decent. Great price for the room, bed was a little hard but everything worked. Nothing special good place to stay for only a night or two. Ac has a motion sensor which is kind of a pain but other and breakfast ins't much so do expect to eat there. Staff was very friendly and took care of any issues right away.

The entrance isn't on the street that it was addressed to. Behind other businessess. While overall the beds were comfortable, one of them needed to be changed out, it was U shaped.
There was a club that played music very loud until early morning.
Close to resturants and entertainment. Not too far from family. Freeway access left a little to be desired. When Granddaughter and Great Granddaughter came to visit on our last day, we had a little problem, my fault, because I didn't ask if I could pour oj for the little one-I offered to pay for it.

Kinda Sad, Really

The "continental breakfast" was below standard. The hallway doors to the outside were open at all times, causing cold drafts to blow through the corridors (not to mention the security issues). The bed was excellent; the rest of the room was like a throwback to the 1990s. One end of an old towel bar remained in the shower -- a slip in the tub could have caused a nasty laceration. There are plenty of other hotels on Blackstone (Fresno's main drag); I'd choose any of them over this one next time.

With this price, I would say "nothing can beat it."
This is a good place to stay over night before you heading to Yosemite.

My review of Super 8 Motel Fresno

I always thought that Super 8 Motels were for families. I would not reccommend any of the Motels that are by this one to anyone looking for a motel in the Fresno area. It would have been great because it is close to the Fairgrounds and the Convention Center everything we needed.Well I would not bring a child to this Particular Super 8 Motel when there are roaches that we killed and the door handles are falling off. The one to the breakfast room comes off in your hands when you close or open the door. The phone says to dial 0 for wake up call which I did on the first night and I let it ring 42 times and NO one answered, this was on our first night so we figured that after 10:30 pm everyone just goes away. Breakfast is suppose to be from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. they didn't show up until after 6:30 a.m., we would not have minded waiting except the gal didn't leave any coffee for the coffee maker in the room, so we did mind. The Room is not the cleanest. This ruins your reputation for finding an inexpensive nice rooms for someone to stay at and I am not sure I would even use you again and I use you quite abit. What a lovely hotel! Very well kept and the pool was sparkling! We enjoyed it both nights we stayed. The beds were comfy and the A/C literally froze us out. We will stay here again.
