this hotel served its purpose and i liked the face that i could just walk to ASU business school.
there were a few problems like a leak in the roof in the bathroom and loose fire alarm.
also it was too loud at times at night because of a sports team being there the same time as me on the same floor.

My son and I attended his freshman orientation for ASU. I was looking for location first and hotel chain reputation. The Comfort Inn and Suites location was fairly close to ASU and it was clean. It served our purpose well.

Perfect if you are wanting to use light rail to get around. Rail stop just across the street from the hotel and very easy to use. Cereal and pastries only for breakfast. Clean older motel with comfortable beds.

The Complimentary breakfast and Manager's reception is the highlight of this hotel. The Airport shuttle is another big plus. The grounds are kept up very nice.
The only down side was the room thermostat was difficult to stay at a compfortable temp.

The free breakfast was incredible.. Beautiful pool area. Only thing missing was one tv in sitting area of our room only got 1 channel. Weird!! But I will always stay here when I visit. Great hotel.

It is not very close to public transportation. Because of the location on campus I needed to visit, the walk was lengthy. 15-25 minutes with bags and materials. Not a lot of restaurants nearby (McDonald's and Whataburger). Their own restaurant only opened for breakfast. If you needed to walk for food, it was even farther. It took me 1 hour to check in. Only one staff member was available, and it went slowly. Both faucets in my room were faulty, so I had to wait one day for a shower. Fitness room machines were not all working properly. Since there aren't that many, I had to wait. The morning I left, I had to wake up especially early to grab the shuttle because they wanted to accommodate airline employees, and their schedule. Since the restaurant was not open, all of them were given free breakfast by the staff. After we got in the shuttle, I was told they were being dropped off first, even though my terminal was the closest.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a usable kitchen. Lobby was kept too cold, and faucet head fell off when I went to shower. I personally disliked hearing the TV in the lobby, and music around the pool 24/7. But overall it worked quite well for us, and we stayed several nights.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room. We had a microwave, fridge and in room coffee. There was also free Wi Fi which we did not use. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast wasn't the greatest but better than some higher priced places I've been. We would stay again.

we only stayed the night, but if we were to stay longer, i think I would come back to place, liked the fact the room had a small kitchen, and a recliner. Very friendly staff to talk to. Only problem was it wasn't easy to find the enternance, side street. Many resturants near by, as well the mall.

Visted my son who lives in Arizona, did sight seeing; room was much better than it was before, totally renovated. Down side - missing equipment - did not find out until the day before we were leaving that the cable boxes were missing on all TVs; the maid service could have been more detail oriented; was left without supplies a few times, however, when I called the front desk they promptly responded with my requests.

Breakfast was great and plenty to go around for all the guests. Not your usual stale donuts, but eggs, sausage, and just about anything else you may want. The hotel staff was very friendly and eager to help in any way they could. The location was also good since it was right next to the Mall, a Carl Jr's, and a pancake house. I strongly recommend this to anyone seeking a hotel stay.

This is the second time I stayed at the Fiesta Resort and Conference Center. It is convenient to the areas I need to visit and it's a short trip from/to the airport. The staff was very nice and accomodating and I felt welcome there. I will definately use this hotel again. The rate was OUTSTANDING!

The location is centrally located in the Tempe, Phoenix Sky Harbor area with excellent freeway access, dining and recreation options immediately available. Hotel amenities seemed nice, though I didn't have an opportunity to make much use of them. Overall appearance of the hotel and room was quite good, especially for the price and area.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel and really enjoyed ourselves. I had my kids with us for most the afternoon so they wanted to go swimming at the hotel. As far as price of the room, hotel cleanliness, location, and staff friendliness....this is an awesome hotel to stay in. My only complaint is that the swimming pools are lap pools so the kids didn't have much fun playing in them but everything else was great.

This hotel sits close to everything in Tempe and close to Scottsdale and Phoenix. There is on-sight restaurant, bar, room service, pool and tennis courts, but what really makes this property is the outstanding staff. They go out of their way to make your experience pleasant! Free Wi-Fi, comfortable, clean rooms and lots of casual spaces to relax round out a great property.

The hotel is in a good location, found it easily. We booked it through [...] since we got a real good deal, and stayed there for 6 nights. The door to our room is hard to open with the key(card), had to do it real slow and after 2 days we had to take it to the office to get it re-magnetized daily. The beds and pillows are nice and comfortable, floor, fridge, showers or toilet are cleaned. The 5th night the A/C was making loud noises at night time which was annoying and keeping us up, but the office fixed it promptly the next day. The breakfast has pretty good selections but the quantity were small, so the food ran out quickly and had to be replenished. The coffee though was not good, the first 2 days it was like water, it got fixed eventually, but still no good even though it has a Maxwell House sign on it. It just doesn't smell or taste like coffee. However, want to comment that they have a great filtered water fountain in the breakfast area and we are allowed to get water anytime during the day/evening, so that's a plus for us.

The staff here goes way above and beyond!
A shout out to Josh K., Samantha at check in,
to Lourdes and Rosanna at breakfast,
to Jean C. and Diana, housekeepers. These people made the 5 night stay so much better as I was there to move my freshman ASU student into the Tempe campus which was not going very smoothly.. Anything extra I needed they were there to help me. At check out Erin and Shelly were most helpful in filling me in on future stays, Club Carlson and even gave me a "goodie" bag. I wish it was available for the Family weekend coming up but it was already booked out. Very reasonable price & a good value.

Our experience included a great front desk staff, nice room, we used the fitness room and pool. We visited the ASU campus and had a very quick trip to the airport. We would stay there again.

This was my first stay at a Hawthorn Suites. The room product is the best thing about the hotel and the hot breakfast was a plus. What I didn't like: directly on the highway and noise; very small lot, all blacktop, no landscaping; extremely small pool, no privacy, exposed to the entrance driveway; only one local, non-branded restaurant in walking distance.

Our property has two exterior heated swimming pools, as well as a hot tub and BBQ area to relax while visiting the Valley of the Sun.

This hotel was very clean and the room was large and well proportioned. Two sinks would have been much nicer. Check-in was easy and quick. The pool area is nice, but the pool is very small and shallow. Front desk staff were available, but didn't offer any particular greetings or ask if we needed anything. We did call down for more pillows, and they were very quickly brought up to the room. All in all, a nice stay...perhaps a little overpriced for the amenities.
