Location is beautiful, checkout really early

The location was beautiful, the room was fine, my main pet peeve is the check out time. 10:00am! I think it is so unwelcoming when hotels make a checkout so early.

The resort could use an upgrade. The rooms and grounds are clean but dated. It is under new management but I haven't seen any improvements yet. We have stayed here several times. The location is close to downtown stores and restaurants. We do a lot of day hiking and most of the trails are within a few miles.

Stayed for 3 nights. Staff weren't commonly seen. Needed to wait at the front desk for a while before we got someone's attention. The room had hardwood floors which was nice and made it feel cleaner. Really good location right outside of busy Sedona.

Great experience. Staff was friendly and made suggestions of where to go (miss the crowd). Bed was comfortable, lots of pillows. Room had everything. Nice patio with chairs to sit right outside room. Swings on the premise to sit and stare at the red rocks. Far away from the "heart" of the red rocks, but within driving distance- hotel was quiet and just great.

The hotel was very clean and the employees were really friendly. The location was perfect and it was no problem to go by car to Sedona center. The only thing that wasn't that good was, that the breakfast room was really small and the choice of food wasn't that much. But all in all it was a great hotel.

Excellent Value

  • thestanman
  • May 21, 2012
First of all, this is a timeshare property, so they will try to get you to attend a timeshare presentation while you are there. This will take up most of a day, so make sure any gift or discount is worth your time if you decide to attend. It is not mandatory. We liked the location, about a 10 minute drive from Sedona in the village of Oak Creek. We found Sedona to be a bit more congested, so we were glad to be away from it. There is a grocery store just around the corner. There were also enough dining options around for us to be able to grab a bite nearby. Most of the fine dining options are on Sedona, though. The room is a great value for the money. We stayed in a studio suite and it was perfect. It included a living room area, a small fridge, a very nice coffeemaker and a microwave. Free pool towels were also provided. Daily room housekeeping is not provided, although they will gladly give you towels or anything else you need if you ask. We were there for 6 nights and a mid-week cleaning was included in the price. The staff was friendly & helpful, except when we discovered that they did not clean our room midweek as they promised. They were unapologetic and even suggested that we must have put out the do not disturb sign. Other that that issue, the stay went very well for us. I can recommend this place as long as you do not require hotel amenities like room service, daily housekeeping, onsite restaurant, etc.

Beautiful and quiet property in Sedona

  • Inna Light
  • Apr 5, 2012
We loved the Bell Rock Inn. It's a time share property but we didn't get pressured at all or even talked to about the time share. There was a fantastic hot tub we enjoyed each night, the bed was SO comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. I loved the ample space in the room as well. The only complaint is that I wish the fridge in the room would have been bigger. We thought the unit had a kitchenette, but it had a very small mini fridge and microwave. Still, I would stay at Bell Rock Inn again in a heartbeat.

Great Place

  • Apr 4, 2012
An overnight stay with my sister was special. The views from the multi level patios were sensational. Also, the multi tiered architecture allowed for just one story strips of most peaceful rooms. The toilet side of the bath was small, kind of cold or damp with a very low toilet. Otherwise the two queen beds and room size were fine. Two of the staff during a very busy time went the extra mile to give us personal attention and direction. Also, the continental breakfast included with the booking was the best we've had when you get such deals. Best of all, this entire Best Western Plus in Sedona sits on a hill just out side of the very busy Uptown Sedona surrounded by a variety of most beautiful Red Rocks and mountains. I look forward to taking other family members and friends back!

We stayed just one night but it was nice to be able to sit on a couch in the room, have a fridge/freezer and everything you need for cooking. Spacious and comfortable. Very clean!! Price is a bit high to me but maybe I am just young and still learning how the world really is.

What a delight

This was a perfect place to stay in Sedona. Loved our room, loved the ducks that came to visit us each morning as we sat on the patio drinking our coffee. It was a wonderful helpful staff and the in room meals were reasonably priced. The only slight negative, was the shower was dark, since the shower curtain was heavy material.

Super8 Hotel was a very secluded, remote location that had Sedona's best scenic views right outside your window. The location made you feel as if you were a part of nature within the comfort of the cozy room. I would recommend Super8 hotel to anyone who wants a quite getaway and who appreciates Arizona's magnificent surroundings.

Great Family Spot in the Red Rock and Secret Mountains

  • sicklesqed
  • May 6, 2012
We did not have too many expectations going in--not having been to a resort in Sedona, AZ. The staff was very friendly--however we were handed off to a "Concierge" who at the end of the day works off of commission to bring in sales to the resorts. This was the detracting part of the stay--as we were pressured into signing up for a 90 minute presentation/open-house on the resort (which we had to leave a $25 good-faith deposit). The time was set for mid-week and we were hiking and missed the start of the appointment, called to let them know and they were just not polite. We tried to get more information on the resort/time-share--but overall they just wanted us for 90 minutes and did not have any other options. Needless to say, we lost the $25 good-faith deposit; however we enjoyed our hike and it was worth it! So aside from the "SALES ROPE-A-DOPE" we enjoyed the resort and everything was really good (although our room could have used a nicer mattress).

Nice relaxing weekend...

  • Sioo
  • Feb 12, 2012
I rented a studio room. The room was very nice, clean, comfortable, had a patio, and came with a fully functioning kitchen (which was great!). There were plenty of things to do around the hotel and they offer activities. Also, the views around the hotel and hiking trails are very beautiful. They also have a lovely spa/pool area with a grilling area. The only small down side is that the studio rooms did not have a view from the patio (I believe the 1 bedrooms do; but I was unaware of this until I got there) and there is not a restaurant on site. For the price, I would definitely recommend this place! Staff is nice/helpful, absolutely beautiful scenery, and is a great place to spend a relaxing weekend. :)

Buyer Beware

  • Unhappy orbitz customer
  • Jul 30, 2009
The hotel was great, however, oribtz should have not been selling rooms according to the manger of the hotel. We drove 8 hours with three children in the car to only get to the hotel and have the manager tell us they are a timeshare and orbitz should not be selling the rooms. We did not have a place to stay so we called orbitz and they were supposed to call us back with a room and never did. After two hours of waiting, [...] the manager, gave us the last avaiable room, however, we had to change rooms in the morning and pay more money. The hotel itself was great, but I will never never never purchase again from orbitz.

I had a good experience at this hotel. It's further from the downtown Sedona area, but that was ok with me. Clean rooms, quiet, comfortable. Only slightly negative thing was the breakfast - nothing but bread products. Would have been nice to have some fruit or other non-bread foods available.

Beautiful retreat in the heart of uptown

  • AR
  • May 14, 2010
Truly caring, efficient and able staff. Lovely room -no view from the lodge rooms or from most of the cabins, but the river, trees and birds make up for that. L'Auberge de Sedona feels like a retreat a few steps away from a bustling main street. The restaurant is excellent. We had never been to Sedona and truthfully, no photo or description could effectively tell the beauty and magic of the area. If you can ignore the touristy stores and focus on the true warmth of the inhabitants, the unbelievable hiking and breathtaking views - it will be a memory worth having.

Great setting, friendly and informative staff, great view, no breakfast but in Sedon who wants to eat at the hotel. Gounds crew, room attendants, etc. were friendly, helpful and directed me to places I would not have ordinarily found on the first vist. My kind of peole stayed at this place.

It is well located, but the price is not worth the amenities. The bed was comfortable. The room seemed small for the cost, as well. The breakfast and coffee offered were not appetizing.

Sedona is a great place to go and unwind. The hotel was clean, and a good place to sleep. Nothing extra ordinary but for the price, a good bet!

Sedona, BellRock Townhome

  • DEE
  • Apr 22, 2011
We stayed at BellRock townhouse in Sedona for two nights in April. The location is good. The townhouse itself is nice plenty of room for 5 people. The kitchen is huge. Only one negative thing is they had very cheap towels, no bar soap, shampoo, etc. Other than that everything is great.

Overpriced

Clean & roomy ( but bedrooms small ) ; furnishings, towels, bedding were budget level and not what I expected for the $320 total price. By comparison my Las Vegas suite for $300 the night before was easily twice the accomodation in terms of amenities, luxury level and value for the dollar. I would not stay here again for the price charged.

Weekend Getaway

Wonderful staff...Booked this hotel based on very current reviews. Hotel is under new management and they made sure I was happy in all aspects. They are in the process of remodeling and the room we picked was one with a jacuzzi tub. The room was almost completed except for new carpet. They told us up front of this and walked us to our room to see if we were okay with the condition. Room was clean, nice new painted walls with crown molding. They even asked what we thought of the decor and furniture...was it to much, just right or??? Even accepted any ideas we had. The staff was very friendly and willing to help in any way. Recommended a great Italian restuarant (Cucina Rustica) and breakfast at the Red Rock Cafe, steps behind the hotel. Go to both ...no go to all three places and you will not be disappointed. We will go back!
