This is a clean, quiet, basic hotel, 3 blocks from downtown Phoenix. For the price, it cant be beat. It has cable TV and wi-fi and coffee and juice in the morning. The hosts are available during the day and are helpful. It is 3 blocks from the lightrail stop and train that can goes to/from airport. There is not much of any note surrounding the hotel, downtown Phoenix is pretty dead, but you can walk to the Arrogant Butcher for a good meal.

Went to Diamond Backs game. Coffee in the room would have been nice, but not that big of deal. Had coffee in the lobby. Was nice to walk to the game. Room was clean, and area around motel was clean and safe. The price was right. Tax and fees came out to $50.00.

My wife and I had a pretty good experience staying here at Best Western on I-17 over the weekend. Booked a non-smoking room and got what I wanted, unlike sometimes, there was not even a hint of smoke in the room (note on the table states large rate hike if you do smoke).
Bed was very comfy, not lumpy or saggy at all, it was like a new bed. Everything I saw was cleaned very well. Hot morning breakfast was excellent for complimentary; waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, juice, coffee, pastries=only downside was everyone was there enjoying breakfast and not enough sitting area.
Our only complaint was our room was facing the interstate and so you could hear some traffic noise, though it was muffled pretty well. Along with that, the a/c fan was auto only, so I could not keep it on constantly to drown out any outside noises. Otherwise quiet place, no loud people waking you up all times of the night, etc.
I encountered the same friendly and helpful person on a late check and and early checkout. She went the extra mile to help me with a few "extras" for my wife (bowl and spoon while leaving before breakfast was even out). Will definitely stay again.

Hotel was very basic, small with a mini kitchionette. Room was clean, close to metro center,surrounded by restaurants. Bed was tolerable, TV was small, limited or basic cable. We were in town for Hockey game so minimal use of room.

The hotel was ok, but the location was far off. Was hard to find from the main road. It was set in the back. For a suite the room were too small for our trip. No towels were in room but requested some, brought up later than requested.

An Oasis in the desert

Upon arriving at the resort, I knew this was a special place. The staff was attentive and spot on with their information on local attractions and resort ameneties. We stayed in the 1BR King Casita and it was absolutely worth it! It is like having your own apartment and it is very spacious. The surrounding area on the resort is green and well kept. There is so much to do there between the water park and full spa; this is a real resort. I would definitely go back again!

We needed a place to stay for a next day flight out. It was a very comfortable room and very clean. It is a place that would be nice if you had a few days. I am not familar with Phoenix and didn't have time to enjoy or see anything so, I can not say if it is convient for other sights. But it was very convient for a one night stay. The only recomendation I would have as that they do get a shuttle service to and from the airport. The taxi isn't bad but it is an added expense.

The Clarendon was a nice, clean, casual boutique hotel. We went to visit our friend and his wife who were having a baby shower. He's a Phoenix local and had recommended the Clarendon to us. Gallo Blanco, the restaurant in the hotel, is absolutely delicious. Their michelada drink and the chopped salad in particular were spectacular. I was also surprised at how quiet the hotel was. I assumed with an outdoor pool and a roof bar that it would be rather loud. But the rooms were well insulated and noise was not an issue.
The only noise issue I had was with the bathroom light! The fan and the light switch are connected so if you have to use the facilities in the middle of the night and are with someone, you might wake them if you turn on the bathroom light before closing the door.
All in all it was a good stay. The bathroom light/fan issue and the checkout time (11 AM -- which is early for me -- I wanted to go have brunch with my friends and then checkout, but they couldn't give us a later check out than 11:30. Therefore we had to pack up before we left to eat.) were the only things I didn't like. But they weren't anything major and certainly wouldn't keep us from staying there again.
There are also great deals on the Clarendon if you keep your eyes open!

perfect for the downtown Phoenix visit

The Hotel was perfect for what we were going to Phoenix for. the location cant be beat if you are attending a sporting event or something at the Phoenix Convention Center all are within a short walking distance. Our room was great and the bed was the most comfortable one we've slept in in a long time. I will stay here again for sure as well as recommend this to anyone heading to Phoenix for a getaway

I expected the stay to be poor because of previous reviews but it was nice. The staff was personable and accommodating. For others, don't expect there to be a Refrigerator in the room or an iron with ironing board because their upon request only. The room was reasonably clean.

My friend and I stayed at the Westin after taking a week long road trip to the four corners area. The staff were friendly, the room was spacious and well-appointed, and the hotel is close to great restaurants, museums and a movie theatre if you want to escape the summer heat. I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn during a quick weekend vacation in AZ. The room was spacious and had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable and the separate living room was very nice for relaxing and watching a little TV. I appreciated the small kitchen for when I wanted to prepare meals. The hotel restaurant was average, the room service left something to be desired as they lost my order and I had to wait twice as long for my meal. Other than that, the service was friendly and the location was near the highway and easy to find. The hotel offers an airport shuttle that is WONDERFUL and really helps save time and $$. The cabs from the airport charge a minimum of $16 even if you are just going one mile!!!

Hotel has been re-modeled and looks really good. The rooms are nice, but the walls a very thin and hear the next door neighbors. There are extra charges that add up if you are not careful. Park a car is $26.00 per night and they charge extra for wi-fi. The location is perfect for walking and is a safe area. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful with info. Would stay again!!

Rooms are comfortable without being extravagant. Food was good in the hotel, and there is a very nice casual restaurant (Hanny's) across the street. Easy access to the airport and to the downtown (such as it is) of Phoenix, as well as the Phoenix Art museum, the Heard museum, and state and federal courts.

Great hotel, very quiet, nice rooms. Service was awesome! We didn't have time to use any of the extra's offered such as the pool or the restaurant, but we were happy with the hotel for the most part.
The only thing I didn't like, was the $10 a day fee for wireless internet - that should be part of the room. I am on my computer constantly and because of this, I will look for a different hotel next time.

We stayed one night.
Only hotel we stayed in during our Arizona trip that had a flat screen tv. You are able to adjust the temperature in your room which is nice.
Is one block from Arizona Center-nice place to eat etc. However the location feels deserted-empty parking lot next door. It is on outskirt of down town.
Very friendly staff.
Complimentary breakfast-sausage, egss, biscuits and gravy.

Desk clerk seem bother to have customers ask a question.
My firts time there so did not know the drill to make life easy for the clerk.
Did not know enough to request a room away from the interstate.
People in the baar and restaurant run by another owner were friendly but bar tender tried to get by with a very weak amount of gin.
Twice the price of comparabale accomodations in St. Louis, MO.

Awful, not a good place to walk around, lack of facilities, they offered internet access unavailable in the rooms, and continental breakfast also unavailable. I asked for a non smoking room and the only optios was a stinky smoking room.

The Travelodge onE.VAN BUREN ST.in PHOENIX WAS LOCATED NEXT TO A HOMELESS SHELTER. THE FACT IS THAT THE SHELTER WAS IN BETTER CONDITION THAT THE HOTEL. [*]. IT GETS BETTER-TWO UNDESIRABLE CHARACTERS WERE TRYING TO BREAK INTO A CAR IN THE PARKING LOT. I HAD NO KNOWLEDGE THAT THIS AREA WAS A SERIOUS CRIME AREA IN PHOENIX. It's not what it seems

I usually choose hotels from the Choice Hotel group. I also know that Quality Inns can be inconsistent. This hotel was more on the less likeable side than others. Hotel not secure at night - back doors left open and key entry did not work.
I paid $89 per night. Minimum rate posted in the room was $49. The overall value I received was not worth what I paid.
Clerk couldn't understand that the AC unit with a thermostat would not turn off when the set temp was reached. This ultimately worked out as the unit itself was quite noisy when running.

It is a OK place to stay. Not fancy. The interiotr halls are very dark. The location is very good, close to downtown Phoenix. And the best thing of all is that they provide transportation to/from airport and courtesy transportation to downtown. This is not clearly advertized and is a good deal that can save you good money.

I travel to Phoenix in the summer months in order to go to some WNBA games. This was the first time I decided to stay at the Radisson. The location and the front desk staff were great. The room furniture like the desk, chairs, bedding, and carpeting were very dated. But the room and bathroom were clean and well equipped. Also, the applicances in the room were new. So for the price, overall the accommodations were very adequate.

The hotel was really nice, rooms were very, very clean and the staff was wonderful. The rooftop pool was in need of some repairs but functioned. The downstairs pools were nice but only one pool was slightly heated and the waterfall feature was not working. We went to this hotel for the 2 heated pools that were advertised, so we were really disappointed but overall this is a nice hotel.

A good place to stay for business

This was my 2nd stay at this hotel. A nice hotel, a good complimentary breakfast, a very nice pool and only 2 miles away from my office. They don't have a full restaurant/bar, but they do offer sandwiches, beer and wine. I bicycle back and forth to the office from the hotel so location is very important. I will continue to stay at this hotel.

It's a good place for return flight. The place is not very nice, but it is near to the airport.
