Had an enjoyable stay. Not high-class, luxury accommodations, but definitely above average for the price. The room was pleasant, a notch above the common sort of room you see in chain/franchise hotels/motels in terms of character. Rear of the room opens onto a grassy, wooded common area - with a porch just outside the door, with comfortable chairs and a small table - nice touch. Staff are quite cheerful, helpful and efficient. The inn is also quite pet-friendly - another nice touch. Will definitely be back, next time we're in Payson for more than a day trip.

Very hospitable staff and setting. We got a second floor room when we really needed a first floor room due to some physical issues with us but we found the staff very helpful in assistance. Our room was clean and comfortable. Advice for the staff was right on and realiable. Good location and easy acess.

Great location for the price

The bathroom was a little small, shower was good water nice and hot. balcony had a great view of the thunder and lightning show. It was about 15 minutes to the riding stables.
There are several stores local and great places to eat.
The pool was a little bit cooler than I wanted. Spent my time in the hot tub.
Will stay here again.

Our roomroom was clean but not what we expected. We were supposed to have a sitting area but all it was was 2 side chairs crowded together beside the bed. We requested smoking and did not get our request even though we checked in fairly early.

Very clean room. Nice for something this old. Updated well. Only problem is that we asked for smoking room and didn't get it but only had to go a few feet to smoke. Nice people and location. Would stay again. Wish the price was a bit lower.

My wife and I were there to look at real estate in the area. The rooms were nice and roomy, clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice. Free WiFi, which made it nice and convenient to check properties on my computer. Coffee, refrigerator, in room definitely a plus. Plenty of parking. Knowing I'll be making a few more trips to Payson, I will definitely be staying at this hotel.

the location of the hotel put us in walking distance of alot of restaurants. we even watched the fireworks show from the comfort of our room .

Perfect Couples Retreat

The lodge was really cozy, it almost felt like we had someone's personal cabin all to ourselves. Staff was friendly. Room was romantic and cabin-chic. And the grounds were rustic and secluded, just what we were looking for! The only thing would be more activities that are included in the experience like hiking or walking trails or options for poor weather. It rained a lot so thank goodness for the Wifi to look up and plan alternative ideas.

Really a neat place- cabins with jacuzzis, BBQs, looked like a lot of families stayed for weeks at a time. Rooms had cooking capacity and utensils, etc.- you wouldn't need to pack it all in. The restauant and saloon were basic but nice- pool table in the bar was fun. People playing basketball and bocce outside...and the 3 people on staff we spoke to were helpful and friendly. We'd definitely go back and stay for longer next time.

Stayed for the Fourth of July. We were lucky to get first floor (no elevator). Room is nicely decorated, clean, and spacious with good-sized fridge. Pool is clean and nice with waterfall but there were a bunch of unsupervised and loud kids there. It was definitely the best deal in Payson for a holiday weekend. I'd stay there again.
