The fact that the resort was a bit back from the venue was quickly overcome by the cleanliness and function of a suite style unit. The price was comfortable and the room, although rather experienced, was well tended and comfortable.
We didn't get to know the staff, because check in was an envelope taped to the office window, and check out was handled by a distracted clerk on the phone with a family member.

I booked two rooms at the Sands Vacation Resort for Memorial Day Weekend. Hotel was exactly what I was looking for... which was a low priced spot that wasn't to far from the lake. The spot was ideal for the type of trip I had in mind... which was to party!!!!! Rooms were nothing fancy but were great considering the price and I really liked that the rooms were situated right along the pool so it was ideal for partying. The front desk were sometimes hard to get a hold of (especially after 10pm) but were extremely nice and assisted me and my guest in every way possible. Over all I had a great stay and would definitely stay at the Sands Resort again.

I've stayed at this hotel twice and it's very close to everything and a minute from the Channel.
The front office staff are VERY friendly, but a little slow. Don't expect to do anything in a hurry. But you are on vacation so relax and slow your roll.
Rooms are cheap ($69 is what I paid) and very average, like motel six kinda style. Floral print beds, ect. But the beds are pretty comfy. I bring my own pillow so I cant comment on the pillows.
The towels in the bathroom, might be my only gripe. They are super small (like they barely wrap around my body and I'm only 135lbs and 5'7".
It's a good deal and for the amount of time spent in the room, it's perfect. I'd stay here again.

island inn was an ok hotel fairly priced and clean rooms
good location within walking distance of the london bridge and kokomos
keep in mind that the time i went was during spring break yup crazy college kids everywhere. the crew were friendly and helpful room service was thorough and clean all in all a good place to stay for last minute trips well priced and good location. i would stay at this hotel again

MY FAMILY WENT TO HAVASU TO DO SOME WAKEBOARDING AND SPEND SOME QUALITY FAMILY TIME. THE HOTELS LOCATIONS IS EXCELLENT, IT WAS NICE TO BE ABLE TO BEACH OUR BOAT AND NOT HAVE TO TAKE IT OUT EVERYDAY. THE ROOM WE GOT THIS TIME HAD UPDATED BEDS AND THAT WAS REALLY NICE. THE ONLY NEGATIVE THING I HAVE TO SAY IS THAT THEY CAN IMPROVE ON HAVING BETTER QUALITY TOWELS IN THE ROOMS, WE ALL WOULD USE THE TOWELS WE GOT FROM THE POOL. OVERALL WE HAD A VERY GOOD STAY.

Great location and private was able to get boat in out of the lake with no worries and no lines. The rooms are okay not really worth the price but I think you are paying for location and there is a lot for the kids to do after you get off the boat. We are going back.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hampton. It was a very quiet hotel, which is unusual for this area. I have a 22 month old son who slept well at the hotel. I requested a crib the second night and the staff quickly found and delivered a crib to my room The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Also my boat was stored safely in the lot of the Hampton. In the past my boat has been damaged in other lots. Me , my husband and baby felt very safe and comfortable at the Hampton.

The place was being refurbished. New paint in rooms, but no frills. Hall carpets filthy and smelled of strong cigarette smoke, but new paint on walls. Room and bath were clean. If only Bed and bath were needed, that's about it. Desk staff persons were hard to find. There is a view of the lake, but it's not a selling point. We requested a non-view, thank you.

I came to this hotel expecting the worst after reading others reviews. It was very reasonably priced, however the less expectations the better. Unfortunately my friends' room was not ready and when they were allowed in, there was a small bug in their bed and the room had not been cleaned. The staff was very friendly, which definitely helped. if you're looking for a one night trip to Havasu & are on a budget, then this is not a bad option.

Hotel was exactly what we needed for this trip.
Sand Castle is an older dated hotel without and updates. Room was freshly painted and clean. Check in out out was easy. Daily room service was fine. For someone looking for a clean room without amenities, the Sand Castle would be a good place to stay.

The host was very personable, and actually let us check in a bit early. Location could have been better, but our room overlooked the lake (beautiful sunset view), and the hotel wasn't very far from any of the attractions. The room was exquisite-very clean and neat, and no issues whatsoever. The only major drawback was that it only had a spa, not a swimming pool, but with the beach only about a quarter of a mile away, we figured it to really be a non-issue. Overall, a good place to stay.

Hotel is near Lake Havasu and which is somewhat visible from hotel. There are two restaurants behind hotel that are very reasonable and is also near shopping. It is also close to London Bridge which is one of the hotels best assets. The staff was not unfriendly but didn't go out of their way either. If you're looking for an affordable, clean motel this is a good one.

I liked this hotel. Centrally located near the old town area. It was quiet and comfortable. The pool was nice as well as the patio. It is an older hotel but the price/value is great and the room was nice and clean. Parking right outside the door.

Room smelled bad when we entered. Air conditioning was limited to 73 degrees, you could not turn it down lower. Room was poorly laid out. For the price, and since this was listed as a resort, I was sorely disappointed. I have stayed at much better places for less.

The staff and management was very courteous and helpful. Wish the rooms had some upkeep to them. Mattresses were riddled with cigarette burns, TV remote buttons were stuck and didn't work, covering the room door were mosquitoes and knats, and the supplied soap bars broke as you handled the packaging. Other than that, the air conditioner worked GREAT and parking was not a problem even with the boat trailers.

THIS HOTEL IS VERY MODERN AND GEARED TOWARD YOUNG PEOPLE. IT HAS A GREAT LOCATION . . NEXT TO LONDON BRIDGE. IT'S AN ACTION AREA THAT CAN BE FUN BUT THE NOISE AT NIGHT IS BOTHERSOME IF YOU'RE TRYING TO SLEEP. WE DID NOT LIKE THE COFFEE POT THAT REQUIRED THAT YOU KEEP YOUR FINGER ON THE ON BUTTON TO MAKE IT WORK. ALSO, HAVASU IS A VERY HOT AREA OF THE COUNTRY BUT THEY USE COMFORTERS HEAVY ENOUGH FOR ALASKA. WE'D KICK IT OFF AS WE WERE TOO WARM. . THEN WE WERE TOO COLD WITHOUT IT.

This hotel was actually a resort. So, there was no ice unless you made it and the water tasted bad so you would have had to buy that as well. The staff was great. The pools were beautiful. This is a place to stay for a week or so. The maid service is once per week.

We are a couple on our honeymoon, the first leg of which was a three night stay at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas so we can say definitely that the description on [...]and the way the photos are taken lead you to believe that this resort is much more luxurious than it truly is. I would say that this resort must be 20-30 years old and it shows. The fridge, dishwasher, oven and shower enclosure are straigh out of the 80's and when we walked into the suite we got that "old hotel smell" that we all recognize. We had to go buy scented candles to cover up the smell. When we arrived, we were asked wetness we wanted a lake view (but would have noise from the highway) or a more secluded room, big mistake, the highway is so busy and loud that you can't have the sliding door open and watch TV and we couldn't have the back window open because we were directly across from a pool that people could (and did) stare straight into our bedroom. Speaking of the pools they are tiny, the pictures are taken to make it appear that theere is more pool inthe foreground, there isn't. If you want to swim laps you have to go off-site and pay $5 for a pass to do so. Also the workout facility is off-site as well and you need to go to the front desk to get a special key to get in. Our room didn't have a washer and dryer in it so we had to spend 2.5 hours at a laundromat that only had about 1/3 of the washers and dryers working. Wi-fi is provided by at&t wireless so if you have an AT&T smart phone you get free wi-fi if you have a laptop plan on paying a fee for wi-fi. The TP is quote rough and 1 ply so we went to a grocery store for some nicer stuff and it was a good thing that we did because in the three days we stayed there housekeeping never came into our unit not to refill the coffee, TP or even to make the bed or empty the trash. Not very good we would have been out of TP halfway through the second day!Don't get me wrong, the full kitchen was convenient, and while old, the suite was livable but not nearly what was described and it cost more per night than the Trump International Hotel (which was the epitome of luxury). This place could be good for families or spring breakers looking to spend the day drunk out on the lake but not so much for honeymooning couples looking to spend Christmas in Lake Havasu City.

You get what you pay for

Looking at other reviews before the stay, I saw that there was no one in the office in the evening. So when I called the motel to confirm that they got the reservations, I told him that we would not be in until the evening and if the office would be open. He told me that he closes the office at 4 everyday except Saturdays. When we got there, our key was taped to the office door like he said. The room was what we paid for. I was a little put off by the glass table that looked as if lots of food had been dropped in the cracks and the shower was not cleaned. Also, they should invest in toilets and air conditioners. Other then that, we basically used the room just for sleeping. Oh yeah, the room smelled very stuffy. Would I stay there again?? Only if there was no other place to stay.

we stayed at this hotel because our son had a baseball tournament in lake havasu, the element was awesome with this hotel, don't get me wrong this hotel was old, but was very comfy and the sencery was wonderful! if you want something cheap, clean, quite, and country this is the place

Great late night getaway!

We were just passing through while on vacation. We got to the location late and was very happy with the speedy check in & friendly staff. It would only have been better if there were dishes & silverware in the suite. Otherwise, it was perfect! Slept great & checked out early. Again very friendly staff. Girl at front desk went out of her way to get us a coupon for the Havasu Landing once she knew that was were we were planning to go before we left town. It was great! Thank you!

We were on the water for the most part. The staff was nice. The rooms were nice with a small kitchen and fridge. The continental breakfest was sparce and the coffee was not Starbucks(but there is one closeby).

Considering we had a reservation in advance, I resented being placed in the room on the noisiest corner of the hotel. We were awakened by the morning commute traffic. This place was too far from the site we came to see and did not feel safe. The bathtub showed signs of wear. For the amount, the value was not there. The person in reception was not engaged at all and barely communicative. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This is a condo with some units rented daily like a hotel. Residents are very friendly. Location is close to malls and London Bridge and highways. Very quiet complex and quiet part of the city.

Lake access less than 1/2 mile, London Bridge access less than 1/2 mile. Some rooms offer a lake view with a balcony while other rooms offer kitchenettes.
