We stayed at the Radisson in flagstaff and then hopped onto the freeway & visited the grand canyon.
The hotel was filled with amenities that you'd expect. The lobby had a fireplace, lounge, and a great sushi restaurant. All throughout the hotel we noticed native American & classic Americana iconic decoration.
Overall I would give this Radisson a great rating. The staff was very friendly & asked if we needed anything.

JC in VT
- Oct 7, 2011
the city shut off the gas so there was no hot water in the morning for a shower, but the hotel didn't notify guests, so we found out on our own when we called the desk to report no hot water. The manager never showed up to handle the complaints of not having hot water and the front desk staff just said "it's not our fault it is the city's fault.". Very disappointed in the lack of response to thus situation by the hotel.
Customer service shod bs a priority for a hotel!

I was in town for business. Super 8 is quiet, clean, and inexpensive. I come to Flagstaff periodically and have stayed in most of the high end hotels near I40 exit 198. The nicer hotels are certainly more luxurious, but also cost about twice as much. Super 8 had a comfortable bed and effeciently designed room for work and comfort. I found it to be quieter than any of the other hotels in the area. Grand Canyon is a short drive (one hour, fifteen min) away.

Nice room, bad staff

We were on a road trip and came to the hotel very late, around 4 am since we had been driving all night. We were very tired and rang a doorbell and there came a staff member and she looked like she didn´t want to let us in at all (and it was cold outside!) Then she told us that if we had come 5 minutes later we would have missed her since she was going to take a shower (she was wearing her bathrobe). I´m sorry but who takes a shower when you´re working? I don´t care what time it is. Plus she was annoyed that we had bothered her and we did not feel welcomed at all! The room was big and nice, it had a fridge and a microwave, but it was freezing cold the whole night and we could not find a "do not disturb" note to hang on the door, so we were woken up twice when we really needed that sleep (we were driving for 12 hours the following day).

It was a nice hotel with a hot tub, pool and fire pit. Thought though for the price we paid it could have been a little better.

We stayed at Days Inn for NAU Graduation. The room and service was good enough for one night. Everything worked properly and we were not disturbed by the train. The location was close and we would definitely stay again.

Key card got reset 2 times on me but it wasn't a major hassle getting it reset. Was a bit annoying not being able to get in right away after coming back for hiking all day and just wanting to crash. No hot water the first morning for some reason.
But, it was good enough for my needs and can't complain about the price.

The staff at the hotel were friendly. We went when the weather as cold and unfortunately, the room was no better. It was cold (don't think the windows were well insulated). Had the heater on high the whole night and the room (which was VERY small) stayed chilly all night.
All in all, the stay was fine. We justed needed a place to sleep for one night.
Would we stay there again? Maybe. I'd definitely do some looking around first though.

Decent room for the price. Great location for Snowbowl Ski Resort and surrounding restaurants. Also close to the downtown nightlife. Room wasn't temperature prepared before check-in which would've helped in the cold climate. Also, walls were not thin but tremors could be felt from the kids two rooms away. Nice hotel. I would recommend and return for an economic, weekend visit.

An excellent choice for a weekend getaway
-
STSW
- Dec 19, 2011
A clean room, comfortable bed and a great location that is easy to reach from Interstate 40.
Family restaurant within walking distance, fast food also within walking distance and easy access to downtown Flagstaff.
Don't let the fact that the train tracks are nearby scare you off. I never heard a train unless I was outside and the trains run constantly through the area.
Only downside was the free breakfast, while it was fine for a free breakfast, get there early or be disappointed as warm food (eggs and sausage) goes fast and doesn't appear to be replenished. Also expect a wait for waffles as they are made by someone on staff and they seemed overwhelmed on my visit. We walked across the street and paid for breakfast.

Canyon Hikers
- Aug 7, 2011
We decided to drive a few extra miles to stay in Flagstaff before heading to the Grand Canyon in the morning. My choice is to select 3 star hotels and I was reminded of why that is my preference. The first room we were given smelled of urine, the second room smelled of cigarette smoke, and the third room was much better when compared to the other two choices. The bed felt "very firm." During the night I felt I was literally sleeping on a rock. The hotel was being remodeled and my fingers are crossed that mattress chices are taken into consideration. The plus was that there was a microwave and refrigerator in the room.
