My 6 yr old grandson loved the pool. The desk clerk gave us a room right down from the pool. I liked not haveing to go outside to the pool or the restaurant since it was just my grandson & myself on this trip. I also liked the location right off the highway, very easy to find.

The jacuzzi was worth it

Not the cleanest place; I had to wipe out the tub to use it, but oh it was so worth it after a day of driving! The refrigerator had defrosted before my arrival, the knobs for the controls were missing and it made an annoying hum. The desk clerk was full of excuses for why there was no way to fix or exchange it. I guess it is a good thing I was traveling with a cooler. The bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi was huge.

The stylishly furnished one and two-room suites have either a king bed or two queen beds with sofa sleeper. Family suite has three beds and seperate bedrooms. Executive king rooms will wow you. All rooms have micro-fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron/board, free high-speed internet, desk, ergo chair, cable TV with HBO and over 60 channels. when we arrived we got a room with a very bad smell. we asked another room and the recepionist refused. she said that the new smell of their deodorant and it's the same in every room. after we realized we cannot sleep in this room we begged her to move and eventually she gave us another room whcih was fine, no smell. she didnt appologize and was very unfriendly.
the room was ok but the curtains wont close all the way so there was light from an outside projector which was disturbing.

This was to be my last stay on a business trip that had me in 5 cities in 5 days. On my way to Arkansas I was flying out of Houston through Dallas to Little Rock. Shortly before we were to leave Houston A very strong storm hit Houston and closed the Airport for over two hours. The airlines were not sure when planes would be able to land but kept telling us their was a chance we would make our connections. About 7 PM the airlines told me I would not make my connection in Dallas and I should get a room in Dallas and they would put me on the first plane in the morning to Arkansas. I imediately called Avis and told them what had happened and they were wonderful and had a car waiting for me in the morning. I then called the Holiday Inn in El Dorado and explained the situation to the person on duty at the hotel. He told me I would be charged for the room since it was after 6 PM. I told him at 6 oclock I still expected to be in Arkansas that evening and had just been informed by the airlines I would not make it. He said it was corporate policy, I would be charged for the room and there was nothing that could be done. After some additional conversation on my situation and his issistance that nothing could be done and I would be charged for the room I calmly told him we all had to do what we had to do and apparently he had to ignore my situation and charge me for a room even though my not getting there was not my fault and what I had to do was never spend another night in a Holiday Inn and see that no one else in my company did either. As it was I paid for 4 hours in a room at the Dallas Airport and for a night in a room in El Dorado AR at a hotel that I never saw. This is not what I consider to be good customer relations ot the kind of attitude that builds customer loyalty.

Description
If you are looking for a hotel in El Dorado, Arkansas, may we suggest Union Square Guest Quarters as a wonderful alternative to typical chain hotel lodging. The guest quarters consist of 23 suites, seventeen luxury suites with sitting areas and large dressing rooms, three suits with living rooms and all have private baths equipped with the finest modern amenities. Four full suites are in a restored 1875 circa home. Three Executive suites are located downtown and an executive apartment is located at the Myrtelles House. In addition, a beautifully restored and furnished 1925 oil boom mansion with 4 bedrooms is available and can be used for weddings, receptions and family gatherings. A number of the luxury suites overlook Corinne Court. This courtyard with a beautiful fountain is adjacent to the Central of Georgia coach, train garret and patio where a complementary breakfast is served.
