The staff were helpful, knowledgable and friendly. Room was spacious and well-maintained. It is not a five-star hotel-and they don't pretend to be-but it is absolutely perfect for a traveller looking for comfortable, spacious rooms, hospitality and value. I would recommend this facility to anyone traveling near the Wiregrass region of Alabama.

The girl at the front desk was not friendly! She could have been having a bad day! Dirty! I went to the nearest store to buy clorox cleanups, air, carpet, and fabric freshner, a candle, and went back to clean. The carpet needs to be replaced! I asked for a non-smoking room, but this one had been smoked in!

I have a bad back at home i sleep in a recliner this motel doesnt even have chair with ottaman available.
Didnt have extra packs of coffe available at front desk.
Internet was awful, speed was about like dail up
the wirelesss signal was better than the wired.

Best hotel in Troy! The lobby and outdoor area with firepit have a very welcoming, comfortable feel. The room was also very comfortable and clean. Shower had great water pressure.

The room appeared clean, and the bed was comfortable, but the room was in the old hotel building. It was the smallest hotel room I have ever been in, and it needed major work on every finish. Worn carpet, broken or missing ceramic tile, bad paint, odor, and the list goes on. If you ever think of staying at this property, ask for the newer building or keep looking. Thankfully my family was not along.

We went to Troy to attend the graduation ceremony at Troy University. Our room was ready for us (late check-in) and was clean and neat. It is very convenient to the university.

We came to town for a Troy football game and only needed the room for a place to sleep. We've stayed here before and the first room was cleaner. This one needed work. The sheets appeared clean but were old and mismatched. Carpets were really dirty and the tub needed bleaching.

Our hotel was renovated to provide you with the amenities you enjoy. Our rooms provide large working desk in the king rooms and activity tables in rooms with two beds. We also have full size sofas or large viewing chairs in designated rooms. Some room has microwaves and refrigerators. All rooms have hair dryers, iron and ironing boards, coffee makers and wireless internet. We are located on the south bound side of US Highway 231. We are 40 miles south of Montgomery, AL and 55 miles north of Dothan, AL. We are located approximately 4 miles from Troy State University and approximately 15 miles from Lockheed Martin Missile Plant. All other business in Troy are within a three to five mile radius. We invite you to join us in the near future. Come experience the southern charm in Troy.

Scottish Inn is withing 5 minutes of Troy State University. For meals you can choose one of the many restaurants withing 5 minutes of the hotel. Minutes from Pike Pioneer Museum and State University. Blue Spring State Park and Sportplex nearby. Pet friendly Inn offers premium movie channels and micro-fridges in all rooms. Ample truck parking available. Come stay with us for an enjoyable and relaxing vacation, business trip or weekend get away. Guest must cancel reservation 24 hours prior to 4pm date of arrival. 10.00 cancel fee on all cxls.

strange weekend getaway

For starters the only soap that was in the room was from another hotel chain (Econolodge). No shampoo, had to go to the store and get our own shampoo. The sheets had dirt on them like someone slept in there with dirty feet the night before. We changed the sheets ourselves. Our non-smoking room had a cigarette butt and a burnt match in the corner by the heater and the room smelled like a roadside bar. I would not reccomend a stay here at any time. It was the only place in Troy with a room available at the time.

I was returning a student to Troy University. When checking into the motel, the receptionist did not speak fluent English. The outside grounds were in terrible shape. The motel is OLD, and needs lots of renovations. Some linens needs to be discarded. I would NOT recommend this motel, unless you have to have the cheap nightly rate. Rooms musty smelling and damp.

The Holiday Inn is located directly on Hwy 231 in Troy, and is only a few miles from the Troy State University campus. We are also centrally located near Lockeed Martin, HB&G, Sikorsky and The Wal-Mart Distribution Center. We hope that you will visit us in the near future and allow us to make your stay a pleasure. Our property is currently undergoing renovations.
